Tooth Extraction reviews in Huntington Beach

  • Terrific! Exceptional BEST! Orange Tree Dental is not simply a dental office, it is an office of Dental ARTISTRY. My family & I have been patients of OTD for more than 20 years. Living in Huntington Beach, we traveled more than 1 hour for each appointment and it was well worth the drive. The dental artistry of OTD is simply exceptional, and consistently exceeded my expectations. If your smile and teeth are very important to you, you will not make a better choice than Orange Tree Dental. Period.

  • He is a great dentist. We’ve been using his practice for a year now. He is very competent and very friendly. He is just a good dentist. He is a full on dentist. He has a really nice friendly office and the receptionist is very nice.

  • We've been them three times so far and we really like them. They're very modern. We got a very good first impression. They did really good work. They had a specialist come out for my son. They're pain-free. The root canals went really well. They say what they're going to do. I like them and would definitely recommend them.

  • It was my first time and it was excellent. I'm going to go back.

The staff was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Very concerned about pain and want to make sure you are comfortable.

The thing that affects me the most is that they actually listened to me. They listened to my concerns because I don't have a problem with pain; I have a problem with gag reflex. Usually the dentist office just doesn't pay much attention; they don't take it seriously but its a major issue with me. They were very careful with me! They were excellent.

  • Dr. Angell did a thorough evaluation and explained my options including the forecast that something would be needed within 12 months.  No rush to do something.  He said my symptoms would proceed at their own pace, and the need for a procedure would be obvious to me.  He was patient, clear, and reasonable.  Within one week, my pain reappeared worse than ever, and an abscess developed in the affected area.  I called him on a weekend night and he talked me through the interim measures to relieve my pain until Monday when he would make time in the schedule to take care of it.  On Monday morning, his office called to alert me of the schedule change that made room for my appointment and I went in to the office for the root canal procedure.  I truly appreciated the time he spent explaining everything and that I would not experience pain except for the local sedative injections.  He was entirely correct.  The procedure was completed efficiently, painlessly, with his explanations as it proceeded along.  For me, it made a big difference to know and understand what was happening and why.  Given that a root canal is not something anyone wants to have, I thought Dr. Angell made it as reasonable as possible.

  • Dr. Roges and his staff were great. I had confidence in his skill, and their empathy and gentleness really helped me deal with a difficult situation. I would highly recommend Dr. Roges and am really thankful that they were able to take me on such short notice.

  • My last appointment went uneventful. I went for a treatment from the hygienist. Then Dr. Yamamoto checked my teeth. I got a clean bill of health and I look forward to my next visit in January.

  • He attempted to perform a root canal, which did not work, and then had to pull the tooth. We have been very pleased with all of the services provided in the office. As far as I can tell, he is an excellent dentist.

  • There are some posts in my gums so that the bridge will snap on to the posts and will stay fixed. It won't get underneath because it snaps on and stays down. That's a new feature. That was done by a dental surgeon about a year ago. I had to wait a while after that to let the gums heal and then I got the bridge done recently. Dr. Mortensen got me entirely new bunch of teeth. It was for all except four teeth and for the bottom as well. I first went to them about 25 years ago and I went back again because I still think Dr. Mortensen is pretty good. He is a good dentist. Besides just the ordinary fillings, he does implants, bridges and so forth and he is good at that. His availability was pretty convenient. He told me to see him either on a Monday or a Tuesday and he was ready to make the little adjustments and to make it perfect. The front part of the thing was a little bit too long or something; so he fixed that. The office is good. The staff is cheerful with everybody. There are people coming and going and they are all friendly with the people. The dentist's chair side manner is good. He explains things well. I think the treatment was effective. They explained to me about the billing. I thought that it was kind of expensive, but I don't know about the prices. I just pay them the money.

  • My regular dentist told me I needed a root canal and he didn't perform them.  So I went looking on Angie's List and found Dr. Robert J. Moretta.  He was a great find.  His office was on vacation when I called, but since I wasn't in much pain, I left a message on the office phone.  He called me back later that day, and inquired about the details of my problem.  He asked me if I could wait four more days until he and his staff returned from vacation, and he offered to refer me to someone else.  After speaking with him in detail, I decided to wait until they returned from vacation to see him on the morning of their return.

I am glad I did.  His staff was very friendly.  They made me feel very comfortable and confident in their professionalism.  He did a very thorough examination, then using my digital x-rays, explained exactly what the procedure entailed.  This put me at ease, and I gave him permission to begin.

He applied local anesthetics after asking my preference.  He was very gentle and sure with his touch, and before I knew it, I was numb and ready to begin.  He updated me frequently on how the work was going and he regularly asked how I was doing.  His assistant constantly checked on my comfort.  They completed the procedure in about an hour and 10 minutes.  He prescribed some antibiotics for the infection, and told me what to expect over the next few days.  He was solicitous of my well-being, and he called me that evening to see how I was doing!

Needless to say, he is now my regular go-to dentist.  Even though he is out of network, I will continue to see him for dental work and my old dentist for cleanings(because in network, cleanings are free).
