    Reserve Limo
I wasn't able to pick my friend up at the airport, so I arranged for Reserve Limo to pick her up from inside the airport.  Because it wasn't curbside pickup it was a little more expensive.  I explained that I would pay.  I received a confirmation email, and the name of my friend was spelled wrong, and her cell phone number was not listed. I called in and easily corrected the misinformation.  No problem. My friend, who is an older woman, was a little skeptical of being picked up by a stranger, but I assured her it would be a great experience.
And it was a great experience.  She met Julian, and they talked and had a good time all the way to my home. By the time they pulled in to my drive way, they were like old friends.  So I asked him if he would be available for the return trip. He asked the date, and confirmed that he would be working that day, and therefore could be scheduled.
For the return visit, I called 4 days in advance, and very specifically asked for Julian, and was told, yes Julian would be scheduled for the pickup.  The day comes, and guess what? -- No Julian.  I asked where Julian was, but the driver didn't seem to understand me. Friend rode back the airport in disappointed silence.  She said the driver was very professional, and made sure she was comfortable, but she didn't feel like he understood her, so she just rode without speaking.
All of the billing and confirmation came to my email address, but with her name.  It was somewhat confusing, since I scheduled everything, and paid for it with my credit card.  They asked for a report on how everything went, and I sent it in 5 days ago, but have had no word from them since that time.
Next time I need a limo, I'll go elsewhere.

    AM/PM LIMO AIRPORT SVC
I've actually used them a few times for both airport pick-ups and drop offs. Each time we used an SUV we had the same driver, and while he drove a little fast we were usually running late so I didn't really mind. Our last trip, however, was a disaster. From our house to the highway is one turn, but the driver got lost and took an extra 10 minutes to correct his mistake because he answered his cell phone. Then his driving was so erratic that our year old daughter got so sick she threw-up. The driver didn't even notice.

    Intl Limo Inc
I had hired this company several times in the past, and had liked their big, clean towncars, their nice, uniformed drivers, and their prices not much more than a taxi, but after this experience, NEVER AGAIN. There was no problem on the outbound part of our trip to Australia. As had always been the case and as one would expect the service to include, the driver loaded our luggage into the limo, and unloaded it from the limo when we got to the airport. We returned to LAX from the 14 hour flight on Xmas Eve day, 12/24. We were met by the limo driver Johnny inside LAX around 10am after we cleared Customs. We had a lot of baggage. Five of our seven bags -- 3 large checked on ones, 1 small one on wheels, and my laptop bag-- were on a SmartCart which my friend was pushing, and I was wheeling one bag on wheels and carrying my handbag. When inside LAX, Johnny took the SmartCart, and the three of us exited LAX and Johnny led us to the car in the parking garage, where Johnny unlocked and opened the car doors for us. My friend was standing by the cart at the trunk, preparing to move one of the smaller bags so Johnny could get to the bigger ones to load them in the car's trunk first, and Johnny told us "don't worry, I got it" and Johnny motioned us into the car. We got into the car following Johnny's instructions. Again, as one would expect, the service includes the driver loading the luggage into the limo. The problem was that Johnny left my laptop bag in the LAX garage. I discovered this when we got home and started unpacking. The laptop had to be either left in the limo or in the LAX garage. I called Int'l Limo's company around noon and said that my laptop was missing, and I asked if the driver had left it in the limo. The dispatcher said she'd check with Johnny the driver and call me back. A few minutes later she called me back and said that Johnny had not found my laptop in the limo. I then checked my office voicemail, because my office contact information was on the laptop. Sure enough, I had gotten a message from a gentleman saying that he and his wife had found the laptop bag in the LAX parking garage and had taken it home with them to Diamond Bar for safekeeping. I called him back and he gave me his address and I told him the limo company would come get it. I then called In'tl Limo back and told the dispatcher that their driver had left my laptop in the LAX parking garage, and someone who lived in Diamond Bar saw it and took it home with them, and that I expected someone from Int'l Limo to pick it up and bring it to me immediately. The dispatcher took my message and then a few minutes later, she called me back and told me that the company owner told her that the laptop was not the company's responsibility and that the owner would call me in an hour when he got into the office. An hour later, around 2pm, Steve Gurevich finally called me. He denied that this screw up was his driver's fault, said he had no driver available to get the laptop to me on Xmas Eve, and then offered to get it for me without charge but not until Saturday, 2 days later, and that he would charge me if I wanted it today because it was Xmas Eve. He said that it was me that left the laptop in the garage, that it was my responsibility, not part of his service, to, make sure that my luggage was all loaded up properly, and even said that his service did not include transportation of luggage at all, just people. !?!? Since I needed my laptop right away, I then spent 3 hours on Xmas Eve, after a 14 hour plane flight, driving to and from Diamond Bar to retrieve my laptop from the nice man that rescued it from the LAX parking garage. Gurevich refused my request for a refund for both one-way trips. I felt that I had paid for a round trip ride from my house to LAX and back with ALL my luggage, not just most of it, and since I had to spend 3 hours driving myself to Diamond Bar and back to get my laptop that his driver negligently left in the LAX parking garage, I had not gotten any value from this company for my money. It would have been my fault if we hadn't gotten our luggage off the plane or from the baggage carousel or out of Customs --- but that's not what happend. We got all our luggage to the driver, who negligently left my laptop in the airport parking garage instead of loading it into the limo. The company should have made good by issuing me a refund, but didn't.

    TaxiLax.com
My wife found Alex online because he had the best price, but after using him twice we know we found a real gem! Alex was exactly prompt for our pre-dawn pickup to LAX, courteously greeted my wife and two young children, helped with bags and doors. He drove quickly but not aggressively and chose an efficient route. During the ride my wife and kids slept in the back while I chatted with Alex up front, and I found him to be a very freindly energetic guy. He explained in his thick Russian accent about his passion for his business, and shared his innovative approach to using text and email messaging to schedule and confirm pickups. He has been brainstorming ways to expedite his services with cell phones since before many of us proably had them. He is professional, ambitious, and clever - the definition of the Amerian entrepreneurial spirit. We arrived at LAX on time, he helped us collect ourselves at curbside checkin, and invited us to text him for a pickup on our return. After our vacation I did just that - texting him our arrival info before our fight home. By the time our plane touched down he had already texted confirmation of his arrival at curbside near baggage claim, and even gave suggestions for which way to walk out the door to see him! On our late night ride home my familiy slept in the back again, and Alex and I enjoyed another friendly conversation. We were unexpectedly detoured off the freeway by a police blockade near Downtown LA. Alex navigated some awkward downtown side streets and got us back on track without missing a beat. By the time we pulled up to our house I really wanted to tell others about this wonderful guy. So here I am on Angie's List precisely because I thought others should enjoy his services - and he should enjoy more customers. Please check out his website and try his simple text format - it saves time and eliminates errors on both ends of the transaction.

    FOOTHILL AIRPORT CAR SERVICE
They were on time for a 4:45 a.m. pickup. On the return you have to call to have the car come around but it worked well. The cars were clean and nice. Price was about $30 less than I had been paying with another company.
