    Sears Appliance Repair
Come to find out the dryer had over heated and just needed to cool down. The dryer started the next day. I was still charged $199.00 for the visit. The person cleaned the lint and lubed the drum. I asked if he could reconnect the exhaust hose. He told me he does not perform that function. They were also pushing the $100.00 per month home maintenance warranty. VERY annoying. I do not want to be sold on another service, just do the job that is being asked of you at the time.

    Conner's Appliance
After the bearing was installed, the technician saw that there were a few other things that needed attention. These were problems that I'd had from day one, since I bought the unit new. After the repairs, my Cabrio washer worked better than new. My house was left clean and the technician was very professional, and best part, on time ( early by a few minutes) to my appointment. Definitely a class act company.

I was moving my mom from the house I grew up in and she really wanted to have her old refridg. It didn't quite survive the move, the evaporator fan went out. Mike came over, same day and found the problem. He gave me ideas on how to find the parts, which I did easily on Ebay for $12.86 (that included shipping) When I got the part in, he came over and installed it... it didn't work. Not the kind of guy to give up, he went in the back and figured out how to do it and which wire it was. Now it works, maybe even for another 50 years, lol. He is extremely nice and fun to work with. We told jokes the whole time. I spent 2 house calls ($130). Anew refrig is $2100 (for the one I want anyway) So, this is money well spent. I highly recommend this fantastic person.

He came in and did his work and left. He was very friendly and very clean. Everything was fine. He made sure everything worked correctly. The price was reasonable as well. I would rate him overall an A.

    SHAW'S APPLIANCE REPAIR SVC
On February 10, 2012 I called my home warranty service (American Home Shield) to have my Whirlpool Duet Dryer repaired. They sent out Mr. Appliance of Salinas to make the repairs. After almost 5 months of lying representatives from both companies I fired American Home Shield and Mr. Appliance.
It became obvious after hiring Shaw's Appliance Repair service as to exactly why I was getting the run-around. The part to correctly fix the dryer cost $424.00 and they didn't want to pay for it. But 5 months!!!! They constantly told me that the part had to be back ordered (3 times), the part was lost, the invoice was lost etc. In mid June I discontinued AHS and called Whirlpool directly to check on the availability of the part (which they had in stock) and to get a reliable Whirlpool repair service. Whirlpool recommended Shaw's.
I called Shaw's the following day. Curtis came to my home, diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts, (one of which was missing and could only have been taken by a previous repairman). Within a week and a half the parts came in and my dryer was finally up and running. It took Curtis a little over a week to do what others could not do in 5 months.
It was well worth the money it cost to make the repairs to get rid of dishonest and unprofessional service people and get my dryer working again!!!

    American Home Shield Home Warranty
I have had American Home Shield since I purchased my home in 2009.  I have had 3 contacts with them and all 3 have been terrible experiences.  The last contact was due to my refrigerator/freeze motor going out.  Nothing was getting cold and everything in my freezer was defrosting.  I called American Home shield and reported the problem.  They said I would have to pay a 60.00 service call to the repairman arrived.  I agreed to this.  Then the representative put me on hold.  About 5 minutes later she came back on the line and said that the Appliance Repair company that they contacted stated that they couldn't' t come out and repair my refrigerator until the following week.  That would mean over 5 days with no refrigerator/freezer.  I explained to the representative that all my food would spoil and I needed the refrigerator because I babysit my 3 toddler grandchildren, (milk etc.).  She very rudely stated that they did not cover spoiled food and asked if I was the appointment for the following week or not. I reluctantly agreed and sent my husband to the local store to purchase an ice chest and some ice.
A few minutes later the repair service called and asked about my situation asking if this was the only refrigerator I owned.  I told him that it was and he was very sympathetic to my plight.  He said he knew what it was like to be without a refrigerator and what an inconvenience it is.  He said he would put me at the top off his list and he also told me that the representative from American Home Shield didn't completely explain my situation, but simply stated that I needed an appliance repaired.  The repairman was in my home within 30 minutes and had my appliance running withing the hour!!!!
Thank Goodness for the professionalism of the owners of "Real Service Appliance Repair".  They were kind, polite and professional!
American Home Shield should counsel their representatives on Customer Service!  They get a big fat "F"

Jack L Yoder dba Jack's Home Repair Service
I called Jack, explained the sound washing machine was making; Jack said he believed it was the pump, he had it in stock, had the machine repaired in less than 2 hours from my initial phone call(he is located about 40 minutes from where I live by the way). Very prompt, professional and machine works excellent.
