    Dominator Hoops
The equipment came on schedule and turned out to be exactly as advertised. It was easily installed and the kids were playing on the court the next day. Very happy if is heavy duty - professional type equipment and easily adjusts to players of different ages

    Mulhall Construction
Construction went according to contractor's schedule.  The only delay was on the part of the City in performing inspections and final completion.  Mulhall took care of coordinating with the building tenants with regard to utility interruptions, vehicle parking, and noise mitigations.  Mulhall took special care to be sure that all architectural finishes matched the existing.  It is now hard to tell where the patch work was done because it blends so well with the old finishes.  I had gotten 3 bids for each project (City requirement in order to process the tenant "pass-through").  Although Mulhall was not the lowest, their bids were more comprehensive which resulted in no "surprise" add-ons during the project.  BE CAREFUL WITH THE LOWEST BID.....they're often low due to bidding errors and/or anticipated extra cost items.  Mulhall's bids were very professional and comprehensive and TRUSTWORTHY.  I've been a construction manager for 20 years and have dealt with hundreds of contractors.  I have great trust in Mulhall.

    Comcast Pacifica
We have used them for many years. They have a monopoly on the TV side. They are much too expensive. Lately, once every 3 or 4 weeks, it goes out for a couple of hours. We have another internet network in the house, it never goes out, but on the other it is very slow. We are very happy with Comcast, it is great, just that it is very expensive, and it goes out from time to time. Their pricing is very high. It is almost impossible to talk to a person, it is all automated. They could lower their price and the outages could be fewer. For TV, it is a monopoly so I don't have a choice but to continue to use them despite the fact that they annoy me at times.

I couldn't be more pleased with the service provided by Peter Moon. . He arrived on time and in very short order diagnosed the problem with two HDMI ports on my Samsung LCD TV. He reconfigured the system making sure I understood what he was doing and when he left, I had a very good of how to use current and future additional devices. This is the first time I have used Angie's List and I am a totally satisfied customer of Angie's List and Awake TV!

Paul Gordon, with his workers Sal Rodriguez and painter Joseph Lopez, performed outstanding work to address major dry rot and termite damage to two exterior walls and to structural members in the crawl space. Most importantly, they spent time to determine the root cause and address with a long term solution. Due to various factors, some of which were out of their control, the project took longer than expected. Despite the delay, the project cost remained in control, and the quality was flawless.

    AV PRO'S
Arden was very professional and knowledgeable. He was very diligent and careful about his work. After seeing the result of lots of sloppy work in the past, it was great to rely on someone who does first rate work. Plus he came out to see us on a Saturday!

    Mulhall Construction
They're really nice guys, did a thorough job and we are pleased with the results so far (I say "so far" as we had them to earthquake retrofitting, which fortunately has not been tested yet!)

    The BBQ Doctors
He went through everything over the phone, and I was able to fix the problem myself. It was as simple as a battery. He was very nice, and solved the problem for free, which saved me quite a bit of money. I would absolutely use them again.

    Mills-Peninsula Medical Center
The new building is open and the staff was quick to get me in. I described the symptom to the doctor and they ran an EKG and everything was normal. Suddenly a guy came with a cart and said they were running my up to the 2nd floor for a Duplex scan and I said what is that and why are you doing this and he said he was just doing what the doctor said. All the way he complained about how expensive the new building was and pointed out sarcastically the $2,000,000 boulder imported from the mountains for the "thinking garden". No one explained why I was having a test performed I later found out was a heart attack symptom test when I had no symptoms of that. My eye doctor the next day said "Chevron rainbow is a classic symptom of an ocular migraine, lasted for 20 minutes and dissappeared right?" EXACTLY. So my primary paranoidally sent me to the ER and the ER doc ordered a very expensive test I didn't need. $4000 and my lousy insurance only paid half so now I owe $2000 but at least I know my cartoid arteries are clear. What a ripoff! I only said I would go back because it is the closest ER They are money grubbers!

    Apparel City Sewing Machine Co
After not sewing for some years, I took a class at Canada College in the Fashion Department. When my serger stopped working due to a misaligned looper, a classmate recommended I take the serger (a Singer 14u85 purchased in 1990) to Apparel City in San Francisco. After talking to Nelson Lai, the proprietor, I also brought in a Simplicity BH600 (same as Babylock BL101) blind hemmer that was not working and my trusty Viking 6690 sewing machine that needed a cleaning and tune-up. The repair rate is $55 an hour (July 2011), and I was told that if the work for any of the machines did not take the full first hour, they would work on the next. The combined bill for the serger and sewing machine was $55 (ready in a few days), and for the blind hemmer (ready a few days later) was $55. All machines run fine now. I was worried about parking, but not only was street parking available but the owner pre-arranged during our telephone call for me to park in the store's loading bay around the corner in the alley and helped bring in the three machines. The store repairs sewing equipment for the apparel companies south of Market, sells high end sewing machines, and also displays and sells thread and notions. The work was professionally done and the rates were very reasonable to repair/tune up my three machines. In contrast I had been quoted $110 as the starting rate to repair just the serger by a mid-peninsula repair place, with an estimated one week turnaround time. I was trying to get the serger repaired to continue work for my class, and I did not get further estimates for the other machines until I found out about and talked to Apparel City. I'm delighted to have all three machines working well. A perfectly formed stitch is a beautiful thing.
