MISTER CHIMNEY CLEANING & REPAIRS, INC
Water was leaking in the ceiling near the chimney area from late storms last spring.  I called my roofer out--I thought there may be a problem with the roof even though I had it replaced a couple of years earlier.  My roofer went on the roof and said the roof looks fine, but one of my chimneys, which is in the area of the leak, has a cracked mortar cap and the grout between the bricks looks bad.  He said I should call a chimney specialist out to take a look.  I called Mister Chimney because they had a 5 star rating.  They were busy and could not come out for several weeks, but it was ok because we were now into warm weather.  Martin came out, looked around, and I told him what my roofer said.  Mister Chimney called me back a few days later with an estimate to fix the concrete cap and suggested that I also install two chimney caps/spark arrestors--one for each chimney.  I agreed to have the work done, which was scheduled a few weeks later.  Mister Chimney came out, did the work, and I thought everything was ok.  Then the storms came in December, and my ceiling was leaking again.  I called my roofer as I thought my chimney had been fixed.  My roofer came out right away and suggested that we wrap the chimney in plastic to the flashing, and if the leak stops, then we know it's the chimney.  He had inspected the roof again, and thought everything with the roof was perfect.  There was a brief break in the storm, the chimney was wrapped in plastic, it started to rain again shortly thereafter, and there were no more leaks.  Thus, the chimney is still leaking.  I called Mister Chimney and informed them of the situation.  They were busy, as this was during the holidays, and I said it's ok as the chimney has been wrapped and no more damage is being done.  On January 10, a couple of workers from Mr. Chimney came out to take a look.  I met with one of them, and we spoke.  He told me he knew the chimney was bad when they fixed the concrete crown and installed the additional spark arrestor.  He said the chimney needs to be rebuilt at an approximate cost of $7,000.  I asked, why didn't anyone tell me earlier, before I spent the money to repair the the concrete crown, etc.  I now wasted money doing a repair on a chimney that ultimately needs to be rebuilt.  I was upset that it was known the repair wouldn't work, and not only did I waste the money on the repair, I now incurred more damage to my ceiling.  I asked the worker to please have Martin contact me with a written estimate for rebuilding the chimney, and I also said I should be given credit for the $425 that was wasted repairing the concrete cap--I'm assuming the $300 spark arrestor can be reused.  I called about a week later and left a message as I hadn't heard anything.  So far no one has called me back.  I'm not sure if this is too big a job for Mister Chimney--if so, they should let me know.  Regardless, the repair didn't work, was a waste of money, and the company is terrible at following up.

    A R S RESCUE ROOTER
They replaced my sewer line and did a great job. This included removing and replacing a section of brick patio. The brick work looked better when they were finished than when they started the job. My house is old (1930) so this was not an easy job. They also did extra work on internal lines for free. I have no complaints and would use them again.

Mickey and his group rescued me from an impossible situation. I needed a new front on my fireplace before refinishing the wood floors in my home. My previous contractor could not get things to happen. With only a few days notice, Mickey was able to get his crew to my home. He suggested bluestone, which fit the purpose much better than marble because it looks eloquent and does not confine the decor. His crew did an expert job with the installation in that all the cut pieces and grout are even. He has an upbeat attitude and is a pleasure to work with. The finished product is exquisite.
Later I needed the parts of the floors in my bathroom re-grouted and two bricks replaced on the side of my home. Mickey sent one of his workers to do this as a side job. The worker also arrived on time and did an expert job.
It is a pleasure to work with Mickey and his crew.

Excellent and professional service.  Martine coordinated the project and Hector, the mason, is a designer and superior craftsman.  Job was completed in a timely fashion.  Delighted with outcome.

    Coyle Masonry
We are in the middle of a remodel, and we were held up by a tricky fireplace reface problem. The old bricks had been removed, and before the gas fireplace insert could be installed, and the tile face applied, the fireplace had to be rebuilt. It was much more difficult than it sounds, and we were having trouble finding anyone who was willing to take the time to figure out the very best solution. No one seemed to know how to solve the problem until our plumber recommended Coyle Masonry. One quick phone call and just like superman, Micky Coyle came to our rescue. We couldn't be happier with the work done. The brick work is so beautiful that we hate to cover it up with tile. Micky and his assistant, Shane were both so pleasant to work with that we hated to see them go. We highly recommend Coyle Masonry.

    MR GERI'S LANDSCAPING
MR. GERI WAS VERY FRIENDLY, HELPFUL AND DID A GREAT JOB. HE IS AN OLD-FASHIONED, OLD-WORLD ARTIST WHO DID ALL THE BRICK WORK HIMSELF. HE HAD A COUPLE OF HELPERS WHO DID SOME OF THE 'HEAVY' WORK, LIKE ROTO-TILLING, MOVING DIRT AROUND, ETC. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEBODY TO MAKE YOUR HOUSE LOOK NICE, BUT ARE NOT TOO SURE WHAT TO DO, HE IS PERFECT.
