  • Fixed an oil leek issue and the cabin where my filter goes. They told me it had been on the engine for a long while. They did an excellent job and are reasonably priced. I’ve used them before and I have a designated adviser who I talk to and knows my car.

  • Acura owners beware. They did a poor job in identifying any kind of problems. I took my vehicle there twice for oil changes and they did not notice oil spilling in my engine. They also broke the cabin cover where the filter goes. I will not recommend them.

  • It wasn't much. We recommend him all the time. The car is clean and it runs good, you don't have to go back to him again, unless something else goes wrong. If you need something he will tell you, "You need this or that." If he can't fix it, he would recommend someplace else, someone he knows. If he doesn't work on it he will tell you.

  • Our last several experiences there have not been very good. When we got the car back the battery was dead and it had never been a problem before. I think they were just careless while they were working and left the lights on or something. I don't know what happened. The price was not a lot because I think we were dealing with something that was either under warranty or was a recall, I am not sure. We did not have too many problems with them in the past, but the last couple times I think they've changed a lot of their staff or their employees. I don't know if this is just a transitional time and things are falling through the cracks. I think if you are going to use them you just need to follow up and make sure everything you thought was being done was done correctly. I think the price is probably comparable to other dealerships. The problem for us is we have a vehicle that is not a Chevrolet but is a Saturn so they are a certified, authorized person to go to for fixing Saturns but Saturn no longer exists. They only have so many people that work on Saturns so you might have to wait a week for the Saturn person to be able to get to your vehicle. You have to wait sometimes before you take it in. It is sometimes hard to know who is going to work on your Saturn or whether they have the parts.

  • I tried other providers and couldn't find why there was a drain on my battery. They checked my battery and Sam's club even replaced it to no avail. It took Acura's specialist to discover that the battery was being drained by a defective electrical malfunction in the car.

  • !!! W A R N I N G !!! The worst, fraudulent, dishonest, Car Dealer EVER!!!   W A R N I N G !!!!!!

    I been scam by the Toyota of San Bernardino car dealer for the amount of thousands of dollars, they are rude and, impolite and very discourteous, the will take advantage of you as much as they can, all they want is your wallet, they do not care about you at all, the priority is to rip you off, SHAME ON YOU "Toyota of San Bernardino" and the worst of them is the salesman call Frank Martinez and conjunction with the financial dept.

  • Found this shop via Angie's List. I must say that my overall experience was excellent, however, there are caveats...
    First, the check engine light was on in my daughters 2002 Kia Spectra and I have a code reader so I already knew that the error reported was a TCC solenoid valve in the transmission. I had done some research on-line and could not find much information about the problem or the fix.
    I took the car to this shop and the older owner confirmed that he evaluated the code to be the same issue. A quick call to the dealership revealed that the solenoid is NOT sold as a separate replacement item and that we would have to purchase the entire valve body (north of $1K for the part). The shop owner was very familiar with this transmission and knew that this model was also used on many other models (both foreign and domestic) and he was able to locate the actual bad part from one of his suppliers for $81. Because he had to remove the oil pan and drop the front of the transmission to reach the solenoid on the side of the valve body, he also replaced the screen/gasket and a broken front mount. This owner took the time to understand the issue and locate the right part (not just the first answer which was to replace more than was necessary).
    Now the caveats... If you are the type that can't wait, or needs a very formal process, with clear updates and commitment along the way, this might not be the shop for you. This appears to be a single owner/technician so there were several projects in process at one time. I understood this going in, and we were not in a hurry, so that was OK with me. I would just stop by after a day or two to check in and she how things were going. Ultimately, that paid off because he was able to take the time to find the right supplier that had the exact part needed. We got a complete transmission flush/clean with new gaskets and screen, plus, replacement solenoid, front mount and check engine diagnose reset for just a bit over $300. Honest and straightforward, not super fast, but I was not asking for super fast either.

  • I have been taking my vehicles to Payne's for about forty years. The shop was originally owned by the father and his two sons have taken it over and they all have done an excellent job. I have been very impressed by their prices. I was having and issue and decided to look around and get a couple of estimates. When I looked over everything their price was two hundred dollars better than the other companies. They are very trustworthy and honest about their work. I thought my engine was having problems because I kept hearing strange noises and when I took it in he found out that it was just a loose hub cap. When I asked how much that was going to cost he told me nothing. I have been very impressed with them.
