    Vinetree Painting and Maintenance
Thanks to Frankie Lee and the Vinetree Painting team for making this a smooth project. After the initial walk through of the job, I moved across country. Frankie worked with my neighbor and me to get access to the house. Not only was the job completed on time, I also received pictures of the completed work. This was really helpful since I could not see this in person. They also stained an outside staircase and fence that I added on after the start of the job.

    Jeff G. Pieters & Accocaites
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE, POSSIBLY CRIMINAL, STAY AWAY!!!!!!! I'm the owner at 5233 Hub St. You can check that address against the permit applications by Mr. Pieters We hired him January 3, 2017 for a complete remodel of the property. Jeff's bid for the project was $84,000. To date, Mr Pieters as received almost $75,000 of that allocation. Last week he started to replace the roof on the main dwelling, demoing the existing tile and prepping for the new shingle roof. This morning he walked off the job. Currently, there is no roof on the house. There are no fixtures in the bathrooms, the windows aren't installed, the back deck is only 25% complete, the doors aren't hung, the molding isn't in, the bathrooms aren't tiled, no showers or toilets, and there is no roof on the house. Estimates from other contractors range between $25,000 and $35,000 to complete the job. Originally this job was promised a completion time of 4/30/17, I would check in every week as I continued to write Jeff checks and he always told me we were on schedule. By March, I was getting concerned as there was much work still to be done and the estimated completion date was coming within 4 weeks. Jeff then asked to move the completion date to May 26. We agreed. This charade continued until May, when it was obvious we were nowhere near completion, he asked to move to June 15. June 15 came and went and we are still a long ways from completion. Just last week Mr Pieters asked me for an advance of $150 so that he could purchase nails and paint to finish the fence. Hes received almost $74,000 from me yet doesnt have the money to pay for minimal basic materials. He also told me he did not have the money to pay for additional labor help. Jeff has been consistently deceptive in his progress updates and willingly admitted to mismanagement and misallocation of funds. Hes told us on several occasions that hes waiting on another job to start and that when it does hell have the money to pay for materials and labor(materials and labor weve already paid him for). Hes robbing Peter to pay Paul, our money is gone and hes waiting for the next job to come along so that he can use that money to finish our job, and then the cycle will continue. I've filed a claim against his contractors bond, am filing a claim with the state contractors licensing board and will be taking Mr. Pieters to small claims court.

    Platinum Realty and Construction, Inc
The project was hampered by a rainy January, but it is now completed and looks marvelous. All of the rotted wood has been replaced, prepped, and painted. All of the trim in the front is freshly painted, making the house look ready for spring! The wrought iron rails have been sanded and painted, too. Rony was followed up regularly, but it was really his foremen who made sure that the job was done as agreed. One oversaw the replacement of the wood, another handled the painting. Both crews were prompt and conscientious. To access the north wall of my house necessitated the crews to enter my neighbor's yard. My neighbor has plants in the small space between my house and their driveway and Rony's crews tried their best to make sure these plants were not damaged. The gutters are not yet installed, but they have been measured and installation will occur before the next rains come. I am very happy with the work and will certainly contact Platinum if I need a contractor in the future.

    JAYS PAINTING
They had a great price, were fast, and did a fantastic job. They fixed some trim work around the house while they went. My only complaint is that a few of our eaves needed attention more than just paint, and I thought that was part of the deal. Overall we are happy with the result. The house looks great and they were very easy to work with.

Sang and Mauricio showed up on time everyday.  They asked what we wanted in a non hurried and professional way.  They took their time and did very detailed work,  They cleaned up after themselves daily.  They controlled the spray and drips of their work so that nothing in the yard or the neighbor's yard shows any signs of there having been painting going on.  They explained and answered all of our questions.  They were patient with our delays in color choice, rain and other projects going on around them. They were finished when they said and for the price quoted.
My wife said, "From now on we should only hire contractors that are up to this standard."
    I agree.

I met with James Lee for the estimate.  After the appointment, he provided me with an estimate the very same day. I decided to go with this company because of this initial appointment. The estimates from other companies were about the same. They completed the work in about 3 days. They did an excellent job. My husband and I were very impressed by the work and are very happy with the work. I would definitely recommend this company to others looking for good house painters.

    Butel Construction Inc
I felt the estimate was reasonable, but ended up deciding against doing much of the work  (putting it off for a future date) and the rest of the work was able to be accomplished by my painter for a lower price. However, I want to give Butel Construction a good review because they were prompt and professional and seemed very knowledgeable about all aspects of construction codes and practices and I would definitely consider using them at a later date if I decide to go ahead with the rest of the work we discussed.

    GM Pacific Pro Construction
Our roof sprang two leaks after a recent rainstorm and left us scrambling for help. After reading some good reviews on Angie's list, we called GM Pacific.
Gil was everything you want in a contractor. He came out to inspect the house right away because he knew it was a bit of an emergency. He gave us a great quote for a new roof, but reminded us that the cost may increase due to the fact that he didn't know might need further repair underneath the current shingles.
Gil and his team were very professional: they were on time, courteous and clean. They got the job done on schedule and cleaned up everything after themselves. The project ended up costing a little more than the original estimate because he had to replace some sheathing, but Gil had given us a revised quote to reflect the extra work, and stayed within it. He even ended up replacing a few busted rafters which was a little bit of a surprise, but an overall relief to know that the whole roof is now structurally sound. The final product looks fantastic and now we have a solid roof!
The next time we need any general construction work done on the house (they do it all), we're calling GM Pacific.

    Detail Painting Inc
Had a little trouble getting ahold of anyone at first. It was a little frustrating and was apparently due to a temporary problem with their email, but after that they were great. The showed up right on time the first day. The project was scheduled to take 5 days, they finished in 4. I noticed they even showed up early a couple of days. The entire time they were extremely professional. They did great work and did a great job cleaning up. I will definitely use them again for all my painting projects.
