    Kaiser Permanente Fremont Medical Center
I would recommend them. It is a great organization to belong too. It is a stable company. It is hard to find a doctor that will spend the time with me. I was able to find one that will do that. I go to Dr. Kenneth Trenn. They are friendly, knowledgeable and very direct. I have no problem with billing.

Love the emailing system. Kp.org is fantastic. You can get in touch with your doc, request a refill, check your immunization, get lab results, which are returned quickly. My general practitioner is great, my child's pediatrician is fantastic. I am encountering some issues currently with finding a surgeon I am comfortable with to perform a spinal surgery. I've seen two specialists in Oakland and San Jose and found neither to have adequate experience. And so it seems that all the day to day and even emergent care is great through KP, but if something happens that requires a specialist, the beauracracy is ridiculous, as is the ease with which you can find a specialist you can really trust.

    Kaiser Permanente
We've been using them for at least 35 years, maybe more. They have reasonable monthly rates. If you get a doctor that you are not that crazy about then you can get another one. The only bad thing is that if there is a good doctor outside of their system you can't use them.

    KAISER PERMANENTE HAYWARD MEDICAL CENTER
WISH IT WERE DIFFERENT *Remained in busy ER room for over 24 hours waiting for a spot in CCU to open up. (Staff did offer to transfer to a different facility at their expense we declined) *CCU had both private & 2-person rooms; only spot that became available for us was in a 2-person room. *Dr. Patel did not provide much info or show much compassion. We only saw her once, between the conversations w/ Drs North & Kreck. We were shuffled from one location to the next right in the middle of our conference with her. Both the logistics and content of our meeting conveyed a hurry up and make up your mind feeling, when what we needed was clear & reinforced information, some expression of reassurance & support, plus the time to emotionally process everything. *After heartbeat stopped as expected, took nearly an hour for unfamiliar Dr to arrive and take official note. He did merely stated the obvious, without establishing any sort of compassionate connection with us. *Spiritual care/social workers not on site 24/7.

    KAISER PERMANENTE HAYWARD MEDICAL CENTER
Called 911 when I thought that family member might be having a stroke. 911 asked a few questions & dispatched EMT. Fire dept came, started some tests, asked which hospital to use - stated ambulance en route. I followed ambulance in my car to Kaiser Hayward ER. Upon arrival, I did the registration paperwork & paid the copay (in this case $15, but yours will depend on your coverage). Then proceeded to find family member on a gurney in the hallway, hooked up to IV & some monitors. Different nurses came, asked questions & left. Doctor came & asked questions - based on medical history records available in their system, came up with a potential explanation for the symptoms, which was confirmed by the answers to more questions and a few more tests & monitoring. Turns out it was not a stroke so they monitored to ensure that full recovery would occur within hours and gave instructions on how to avoid this in the future. Went home 5 hrs after the initial phone call. Might've been able to leave sooner, but shift change occurred while we were there...was the the next team ignoring us or did they have more urgent cases? Glad they had the med history available, as the patient was not able to provide the info once the symptoms began. Without the records, it s likely that additional tests and much more time in a stressful situation would ve been required. We were in the hallway the entire time. Other patients were in the hallway too, and I could tell there were patients in the rooms surrounding us.

I have used them for 42 years. They have everything. They don't recommend outside of them because they have everything. The price is outstanding.
