    The repairman was very professional, quick and he did the job. I just think this was a bit expensive. The part was $45, the labor was $225 for a total of $270. He said he could (and did) give me a 5% discount for being a first time customer. Since there is a $80 service fee charged if you don't get the dryer fixed, so by the time I call someone else out, I am still paying too much. He said there is a 20% discount if you a return customer, so I am thinking there is a built in 20% premium right up front Like I said, I have no complaints with the repairman, but $258.75 for 1/2 hour of work just seems expensive to me. I don't care if you call it a flat rate for labor $450/ hour is expensive.

    I called in the morning and Gary came by a couple hours later. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly. He had the part so was able to fix it same day, rather than having to order the part and wait. I have a Whirlpool side by side and is about 18 years old, first time I've had a problem. I have been thinking about remodeling and this would have been a good time to buy a new fridge rather than repairing. But did not have time to research and decide what I wanted so just went ahead with the repair. He was in/out in around half an hour. Not sure how much the part was, but the total amount paid seemed like a lot for just a half hour of work. Amount paid did a include a small Angies list discount. I guess I can't complain since he came by same day, gave excellent service and now the fridge is up and running.

They'd moved our stove gas line in 2014 when our crawl space was especially muddy and we're still pleasant, informative, and thorough.     Both the removal and installation work was unusually difficult due to the construction of the cabinet and floor, but Mike persevered and got the job done.  He also pointed out that the old dishwasher would be taken away by the Bulky Waste Management pickup, saving us a disposal charge.  The price was fair.  He arrived in the promised two-hour window.

    My tenant's refrigerator was not cold.  I called the company on 10/25/14 morning to get it to be repaired.  I was scheduled to have the service between 9am-1pm on 10/27/14.  I also was told the charged would be $85.  After I said that it was stated to be $75 on Angieslist, he honored to lower it to $75.  (Actually this company's Angieslist profile stated that diagnostic service is $75.  I would assume that the price is generally available to all customers.  This is the first indication of non-professionalism.) 
    I was called 10/27/14 morning before they came out.  After around 45 minutes to a hour, I was called again saying the it's done.  The compressor of the refrigerator was bad and would cost $700 to repair.  It's better to buy a new one.  I asked to leave an invoice to the tenant and was replied that I had to pay right away.  I offered to use Discover card (which is also stated in their company profile) but was told it's no longer honored.  I had to give them a different credit card and  I asked them to leave an invoice to the tenant.
    Later, the tenant told me that a guy went in to the apartment for 5 minutes and left no invoice for me.  My tenant was wondering what kind of diagnostics that  was done.  Either the technician was very knowledge and knew what was wrong on a first glance or they didn't even do the job but charged for the diagnosis.  I couldn't make the correct judgement about the truth unless I find somebody else to look at the refrigerator again.
    But as a conclusion, I found this company is very unprofessional.  Their Angieslist profile is out-of-date and they don't give invoice, even after the customer requests for it.  They made non-repairable diagnosis in 5 minutes.  A more responsible company will not make such mistakes and would show the customer what's wrong if an appliance is non-fixable.

    Mike arrived well within the 2-hour window and went right to work on my non-functioning oven.  The igniter was heating up when I turned on the oven, but not enough to trigger the gas. He assessed the problem, went to his truck for the new igniter and installed it right away. The entire operation was done in less than 45 minutes and I don't need to replace my range!   Mike is very personable and very professional.  One of the things I look for when a service provider arrives is how well the equipment is maintained.  Mike's truck (bright red!) looked like it had just been washed and he was able to find the part he needed quickly, without having to toss a lot of junk out of the way.  Don't replace major appliances.  Give Mike's Appliance Repair a call first!

    My dishwasher's pump and motor housing had been damaged by a rodent (mouse or rat) and had to be replaced. Mike of Mike's Appliance Repair came out to assess the damage quickly and replaced the damaged part a few days later.
    He was very pleasant and professional to deal with, and I thought very reasonable in price for the part and his labor.  I am always happy to support local businesses, and it is clear that he knows what he is doing and does it well. I was very happy that he was careful about protecting my new hardwood floors and took great care to make sure any stray water was wiped up and everything back in place neatly after testing the machine to make sure it all worked fine and there were no leaks.  Clean, efficient, pleasant, and knowledgeable.  I will definitely use his services again should I need another appliance repair, and I would recommend him to others without reservation.

    Gary is fabulous.  He was prompt, friendly and really knew his stuff.  I was prepared to have to replace my refrigerator and he said, no, just needed a new fan motor!  Then he slid the fridge out, got down behind it and within an hour I had a happily functioning refrigerator! Soooo happy!!  I will be calling him as long as he is in business.
