Weird! Constantly requesting payment because his workers we're from Santa Barbara and he had to buy their lunch and put them up for the nights they were here. Told him not my problem I felt like an ATM machine. Had to call him back to finish important things like calling and sealing plumbing. Toilet moved when sat on. Still there is paint that needs to be finished. Purchased very expensive tile and unsure if the correct material was used. Glass tile does not show beautiful reflections. Dull looking. I could not wait to have this contractor leave. I still have one more bathroom to remodel. Looking forward to finding a contractor in this area who will renew my faith of hiring blue collar.

Terrible.  Incompetent. Plumber acted like he read install instructions. Instruction #2 was to remove retaining bolts.  Failure to do so would damage machine, damage property around the machine and invalidate the warranty. This was not only highlighted but also circled to stress importance. On top of this,  I verbally reminded them TWICE to remove the bolts.  They did not and ran the machine destroying it.  Attempted to call the Company and file a complaint,. Couldn't get past the secretary.  Been over 2 weeks and still no response. The final cost was over twice the estimate. Also broke the handle off of my emergency water shut off valve and neither fixed it, nor told me about it.  Company goes by several other names.  Plumbers claim they don't have their own business cards, but have cards that belong to other plumbers to give you.  Address they provide you is a P.O. Box, so you can't send a registered letter,  Sounds like a criminal shell game.
Only once they had my water shut off and pipes unhooked, they stated that the job was going to cost a lot more than the estimate.  My options were limited: I could pay them to finish or I could get other plumbers to come finish which could take weeks  while a stayed in a hotel room since I had no water.  Talk about extortion!

    Village Handyman
It went very well. Bill was prompt, professional, honest, and provided excellent communication throughout the entire process. His attention to detail was impressive and he has a very wide knowledge base. His price was fair for the scope of the work performed. This was my first time using anyone from Angie's list & I selected the Village Handyman solely from A. List reviews. I have already scheduled additional work, utilizing Bill's services...and am sure I will be calling on him again in the future. Definite thumbs up!

    Rod Kinyon
I have used Rod for other plumbing issues in the past and been very satisfied.
Rod is professional and takes the time to explain the service to be done and the best products or approach for the job.
As usual he as on time, gave a good estimate and completed the work on the same day. He went above and beyond by replacing old connections that could create a problem in the near future.
He is careful to clean up after his work and always leaves the area looking great.
I would recommend him to anyone and will use him again for any plumbing issues.

    Jerry's Plumbing & Heating
    Day 1
My wife comes home to a note on the door from the gas company that indicates we have a leak and the gas is turned off - call a plumber.  I was out of town for work .
    Day 2
I contacted Jerry's Wednesday morning and they said they could send someone out between 1 and 5pm, so my wife took 1/2 a day off of work so she could meet with them.  The plumber arrived about 10 minutes past 4 and said he needed to isolate the line between the meter and the house so he could pressure test the line.  He crawled under the house and was under there for at least 15 -20 minutes, said he shut off the valve and said he did not have any more time that day and he would come back Thursday to pressure test the line.
    Day 3
My wife takes another 1/2 day off of work because the plumber estimated he would be there at about 1pm.  He opens up the meter box to pressure test the line, and noticed an obvious hole in the line coming from the meter.  When he noticed the hole he said he could not go any further until the underground utilities were marked.  He said we would likely need to jackhammer the sidewalk and the driveway in order to replace the line from the meter to the house. The marking process could take up to 48 hours and he said he couldn't come back Saturday unless we  wanted to pay double time, so my wife made the appointment for Monday morning.
    Day 4
I come home from work at about 4:30 to find that the street, the sidewalk, our driveway and lawn had been painted and marked by the utility companies in three different colors.  I decided to take a look for myself in the meter box and noticed the obvious hole in the line.  I decided to dig a hole to expose the line outside of the meter box to see how it looked.  This took 5 minutes.  I saw that the bad section was a 13 inch section of pipe between the meter and the first 90 degree elbow.  The elbow and the rest of the pipe looked great.  At this point I called Jerry's back to see about getting a guy out on Saturday to replace the 13 inch section of pipe as we were getting desperate to get the gas turned back on, double time or not.  When I called Jerry's the woman I spoke to said Saturday's were billed out like every other day and she could have a guy out between 11 - 1pm on Saturday.
    Day 5
A different plumber showed up around 1pm on Saturday.  He removed the bad section of pipe, pressure tested the line and then replaced the 13 inch section of pipe that was bad.  I noticed that when he was removing the pressure tester that there was some water coming out of the line, but when I inquired with the plumber he said there was nothing to worry about.  After he left, I crawled under the house to turn the house valve back on (turned off on Day 2 by Jerry's Plumbing) and found out that it had never been turned off in the first place - it was on the whole time.  We then called the gas company out to turn the gas back on.   When the gas company came out they noticed that after they turned the meter back on the gas was not reaching the house.  They locked our meter back up and told us to call the plumber back out.  I disconnected the line where the line had been replaced and blew compressed air from the house to the meter and a bunch of water came out.  I blew it out about a dozen times until no more water came out and then put the pipe back together and called the gas company back out, by this time it was about 8pm.  The gas company showed back up about 9pm, turned the gas on, lit the pilot lights and we were done.
    Day 6
    Nothing happened
    Day 7
8am - my brother-in-law notices a Jerry's Plumbing van outside our house.  He asked them (the original plumber from Day 2/3) what they were doing.  They had their tools spread out, the meter box opened and were preparing to disassemble the pipe that had just been replaced.  My brother-in-law explained that the pipe had been fixed / repaired by Jerry's Plumbing and they looked shocked.  They asked if there was anything else they needed to do, but there was not, so they left.

    Folkrod Plumbing
I have used Folkrod Plumbing for many, many years.  I have always trusted their service, pricing and professionalism.  This time our sink was leaking and it turned out to be the garbage disposal.  The technician offered choices, so we were able to obtain the best disposal for our price range.  We opted for the best they had.  He could have ordered one that was potentially better, but the price for the value was not there.  They arrive on time, are knowledgeable and explained the problem and the solutions.  I have never been disappointed when using Folkrod Plumbing.

    Folkrod Plumbing
Everything went well. He was prompt and professional. He determined the leak was not the wax oring as I thought and that the toilet itself was secure. The issue was that the bolts inside the tank were loose so he tightned them.  He also pointed out that the flapper was worn out and would become a problem soon.  I had him replace that as well as I prefer keeping things in working order instead of waiting for them to be a problem. Travis (plumber) was quick, efficient and well spoken.  I will definitely use his services again.
