  • The original installation was canceled d/t improper pre-install evaluation. I live in a mobile home with an older breaker and electrical system. I needed to call a certified electrician to get my breakers updated for this 220 volt 20 amp AC, mini-cube installation. I had to trouble-shoot this on my own and was fortunate to get Jason, owner of Pacific West Electric to work on my system before my AC install could be performed. Service Champions needs a licensed/ certified Electrician on call since ALL of their installations involve working with a great variety of electrical systems. Otherwise my installation went smoothly and I am very pleased with my new AC Mini Cube by Daiken.

  • The technician was extremely courteous and took time to explain and point things out. They replaced a capacitor and charged $338 for that, (Their normal rate). This is something that disturbs me about HVAC companies in general, the part is a $15 part and takes less than 5 minutes to install, very high markup consider I had paid for the service call. So I will order an extra one and a capacitor tester so I can do it myself in the future.

  • Cannot recommend this company more highly! I received a bid to fix my central air conditioning unit for $6,200 when a simple recharging of the refrigerant for $1,250 was sufficient. The tech (the owner's son) provided very clear and helpful advice and counsel of my options and also recommended an add-on that should allow my system to last longer. Trust and competence​ are such major considerations when getting service techs to work on your house's systems and I felt confident on both scores with this company. Thanks for a great job!

  • The technician came to our home on the date agreed to clean the ductwork in our home as purchased. Instead he came to inspect and upset and identify new problems. After he left I was supposed to call back to schedule the actual duct work. and to decide what other services we would also pay for. Instead, I called our home warranty for a 2nd option and was told that the plastic/flexible ducting existing in our home should NOT be cleaned - only metal duct work should be cleaned. I verified this 'diagnose' with 2 other local HVAC providers, both said the same thing. (The Home warranty covered the other problem JR Putnam identified.) But the bottom line is that I have not had the service I paid for provided and consequently learned that the type of duct work in our home does not warrant this service. In fact cleaning plastic/flexible duct work could result in damage to the ducts. Therefore I am requesting a full refund. The deal I purchased does not apply to our home. I am submitting this request within the 30 day refund guarantee period. today is May 5. I purchased the 'deal' April 13.

  • Couldn't have asked for better. Brought in a full crew of 4 and finished in one day. They were professional, efficient, informative, and friendly. They even added another air intake. The systems work really well and are very quiet. Passed the city inspection with flying colors.

  • My system is fairly used so everything was checked out okay and they topped off the I guess its Freon or whatever that you have the cooling which wasn't really low, but yes they did a good job. They discovered something that was unrelated, safety electrical wire. They made it to collect the issue. That was at no additional charge but I was a safety concern that they uncovered so that was kind of cool.

  • Jason showed the issues to me with one of the two units, and explained the repair needed. After reviewing his findings of both units with me, Jason then saw the first recommendation. My doubts of the first recommendation were confirmed, with only one of the two units requiring replacement parts. I was very impressed with Bell Bros. from the time we made the appointment, to the end of the appointment with Jason. Jason Phipps was professional and appeared very thorough. We were not charged for this appointment. I have since scheduled a tune-up of our two heating furnaces with Bell Bros.

  • We found Golden Aire when looking for a company that installs Rheem HVAC systems. Golden Aire installs other brands as well and we received quotes on those as well, but we were partial to Rheem as our house had a Rheem system that worked well and surprisingly efficiently for 30 years (the second system is still running as I'm writing this: 30 years and counting!). Ken Golden, the owner of Golden Aire, came to our house for a quote and impressed me right away with his knowledge, honesty and professionalism. Have him come give you a quote just to see the difference between his expertise and the salespeople that other companies send out to do their bids! His price was comparable to that of other companies who were pricing out less expensive brands. When his crew came out to do the job, they were also very courteous, professional and punctual. They replaced some incorrectly installed ducts at no cost and finished the job cleanly and exactly as promised. The office, also extremely courteous and professional, followed up with me to do the testing for the airconditioning a few months later (as it was installed in winter and couldn't be tested) and scheduled the inspection for me. We are definitely giving them a call if and when the other system goes out.

  • If I could give them 10 stars, I would!! From the owner Cliff to the back office (Beth) to the work crew (Brian & varying crew), everyone was super professional, courteous, honest, hard working and punctual. Their proposal was very prompt, detailed and included photos. They answered all the questions I had promptly and in detail. They were priced competitively after applying the 10% Angie's list discount. Everyone arrived exactly when they said and every single person I came in contact with was friendly, professional and hard working.  We had so many recessed lights and little cracks and holes in the attic that the air and rodent seal took them a day and a half. When all the insulation was removed it turned out our air condition intake  wasn't properly set up (air had been going through fiberglass). They did the extra repair and tubing resulting from this issue at no additional cost. They covered every recessed light with a special box, even though some were ok to touch insulation. They also fixed several little issues, leaving the attic in much, much better condition than they found it in. I felt that they took the same care as if they were working on their own house.
    It's too bad that this is one of these businesses that you don't need on a regular basis (at least I hope we won't have any more attic issues) - I'd hire them again in a heart beat.
