    SL Home Designs
He was the 2 of 4 bids we got, but from the start he was different then the others. 1. I send out a list of 9 items that I wanted as part of this he was the only one to have reviewed the list before showing up. 2. He fully inspected all the areas that he would be working in before bidding. Including spending 15 minutes in the attic. 3. We did have some hiccup with the weather which delayed the project about a week, but I understand the electrician not wanting to replace the panel in the rain. Will use again

    Best Builders Group Inc
Excellent company to hire. They will do an excellent job no matter how big the work is. Zohar was our project manager and he handled the entire work. We have no doubts that we will hire them again in the future. Our remodeling project was to remodel the entire kitchen, remodel the bathroom and paint the entire house. We do recommend them and we will hire them again.

    Advanced Remodeling & Construction
Tal and his workers/sub-contractors are the best people that we hired ever. They remodeled our two bathrooms and entire kitchen. One of the bathrooms was a complete tear down and included relocation of the shower and bathtub. The kitchen and family room (which was a part) was upgraded to a modern kitchen with new granite, stainless appliances, double-glass windows, solid wood doors, in-wall shelfs & pantry, etc. all of them were professional, intuitive, experts and the work was finished in a great timely schedule. We must mention that we are living in another state and due to that situation, didnt have to worry about anything with this remodeling. Tal made sure to inform us with videos, photos, phone calls and emails about any progress of the work and when the work was completed, we traveled to the house and we loved what we saw! Tal brought in other professionals such as painters, insulation people, plumbers and electricians. We had no problem with any of them as well and they were great to dealt with. We can only write here nice words about everything they did for us and we highly recommend them for any small or large remodeling job.

    Atticare LA
I was going to let this go, but after enduring two extremely uncomfortable summers and recently being told by the DWP that my insulation wasnt installed correctly, I want to warn others of my experience. Here is what I wrote about my experience last summer: In August of 2016, Atticare installed insulation in our attic. One day of work for them cost us $5400. We hoped that it would mean our house would be noticeably cooler. The day started poorly when they backed the Atticare truck into our garage ripping off part of the facial board and damaging another board. While they did send someone to repair it, it is not the same as before. Despite the fact that our house continued to be very hot, we did not suspect that it was because the insulation had been installed incorrectly. When we had our AC repaired, the technician went into the attic briefly. When he returned, he said, "It would probably help to get better insulation." He said that it in some spots, it looked like there was the correct amount of insulation (R38 which we had paid for), but in many areas, it looked like much less. We had a couple different insulation companies come out, and they verified that the insulation was not R38 in all areas. It had been compressed by plywood and hastily stuffed under pipes, and in many areas the insulation measured only 7 inches rather than the 12 inches we had paid for. For almost a year we had been paying higher energy bills, had to repair an overworked AC, and worried about the health of our infant in the heat. When we contacted Atticare and asked that a supervisor be sent out to inspect the work, the problems got worse. We specifically asked for someone who had the authority to make decisions for the company. They first sent out David who was an inexperienced employee who did little more than read the invoice out loud at me. At first, he said he had been with the company for 3 1/2 years. Later he said it was 2 1/2 years. He said that he could take the plywood out for free and the attic would be cooler. I told him to go ahead and remove it, and he said, "I can't do it for free. Anyway, it wouldn't make any difference." Two of the people who came out, Omar and an Owens Corning expert, agreed that it had not been installed correctly. Yet the company representatives refused to pay for someone to fix it. When speaking to Sean on the phone, he repeatedly referenced me liking him so much that I would want to send him flowers. His advances made me extremely uncomfortable, which is when I decided to stop trying to deal with this unethical, unprofessional, and disorganized company. Instead, I spoke with Owens Corning directly. Their representative confirmed what everyone else had been telling methat Atticare incorrectly installed the insulation. However, by then I felt I didnt have the emotional energy to keep arguing with a company who refused to honor the warranty I was promised (in writing).

    Preferred Home Builders Inc
Preferred Home Builders had recently completed remodeling 2 bathrooms, replaced our living room floors, added recessed lights in all the bedrooms and the living room, and did our kitchen backsplash for us . They did an amazing job, so we decided to go with them again to do some renovations in our garage. Our support beams in the garage were starting to crack and we knew we had to have them fixed before the roof collapsed on us (a little dramatic, but true). We also wanted to insulate and add drywall to one wall that was left unfinished (by some previous homeowner). On top of that, we wanted to build an attic space to store all the stuff we accumulated over the years. So of course, Aviv pulled through for us again. He negotiated an amazing price for us and brought back the amazing crew who remodeled our bathrooms for us. The garage renovation was even more seamless than our previous renovations (which was already hard to top). The crew was on point and did a wonderful job. They went above and beyond including the meticulous paint job and designing the attic space better than we hoped for. I know its just a garage, but my husband and I are beyond excited to be able to declutter now by storing all of our stuff in the new attic space versus having them scattered around in the garage (we seriously looked like an episode of Hoarders). We're also relieved in knowing the roof won't fall on us now! I am extremely happy with Preferred Home Builders and Aviv. Even though a garage renovation may be small compared to the bigger jobs Preferred Home Builders take on, they still treated us like we were big clients. They ensured that we were satisfied with everything and fixed anything that did not meet our standards. If you're like me and very skeptical and weary of contractors, do not hesitate to contact Preferred Home Builders and ask for Aviv. He will make the process so much smoother and really advocate for his clients. We are already planning on remodeling another bathroom in a couple of years, and will definitely be calling Aviv. If you need anything remodeled, big or small, contact Aviv and Preferred Home Builders. They will work with your budget while still doing quality work and not cut corners. They're all about happy customers, and I am definitely a happy customer. :)

    Dave's Remodeling Inc
All work was done as promised and on time. The workmanship is excellent. We are having additional work done as the budget allows. The next project is having supplemental air conditioning added to the new room, tiling the floor in a second small bathroom and hallway and removing carpeting and refinishing wood floors in the rest of the house. We have waited a long time to do these upgrades and we are very happy to have found Dave and his crews to do the work.

    Landmark Energy Upgrades
We have a 1970's and we decided to have an energy audit by Landmark Construction. It was clear that our house have some energy issues and was in need of a any type of energy overhaul.  The report that was prepared for us by Charlie and his office staff, was comprehensive, clear to understand and revealed that the ducts at the attic  was not sized appropriately. In addition to that, the furnace/AC in the smaller unit was old (and original) and had to be replaced. The recommendations that Charlie told us, included a new furnace/AC, new tankless water system, hot water pipe insulation, building sealing, the insulation and new ducting throughout the house. This was the best investment we ever made.  I could not believe the difference in our utilities bill.  Charlie and his team were great,  professional and experienced. I wish we did these 15 years ago!!

    Attic Masters
Jose and his assistance did a great job at my house by cleaning and sealing the attic. It was not an easy task to find a company that can do this job and be honest at the same time. My past experience is not good but this time i had to do a good research before hiring a company for that type of work. Jose came over to my house after i scheduled a meeting with the main office. He came and looked at the attic and provide me with some live photos from my attic. After he explained to me the problem, he was able to give me an estimate for that work. After i approved the work, He than returned to my house the following day and did the work that took (3 days).

    Add Insulation
Add Insulation was a subcontractor provider, the job was booked through Lowe's. They took about a week and a half to call to schedule the work after we signed the contract at Lowe's (we were told we'd hear from the installer on the next business day), but I'm not sure whether that was their fault or that of Lowe's.
Their crew came when they said they would, the work was adequate and the crew was professional.
However I was very disappointed in the customer service from Lowe's, who referred us to this company. Please see my review there. For this reason I would never employ this vendor again.
