Rooter Alert Plumbers & Sewer Contractors
The first plumber arrived an hour and a half late and didn't have the equipment to do the job. The second and third plumbers also arrived more than an hour after the scheduled time. The fourth one started about 45 minutes late and finally installed what the first plumber recommended, but it still did not clear the sink. The fifth plumber arrived on time and cleared the trap. If the first plumber had checked the trap, I wouldn't have needed the other 4 and the cost would have been less than $100 rather than $2,000.

They were professional on time and answered all our questions and concerns. Trenchless is a word a lot of plumbers like to throw around and after having several people come out to give us quotes you could tell without question that these guys knew what they were doing. On top of that their quote beat all of the competition.

He made suggestions for prep work since I wanted to do some of the work myself. I followed his instructions then he came in to perform all the difficult work. We had to communicate with my neighbors since part of property is in their backyard, and he was very helpful in dealing with them. We had to lay a trench drain and my neighbors weren't happy. Randy performed in a difficult, emotional situation. I'm going to hire him again for significant concrete work on another portion of my property.

    New-Pipe Plumbing & Rooter
What initially started out as what I thought would be a small job -- replace a faucet that was no leaking for a 3rd time, turned into something much bigger when we discovered old pipes beneath the house along with pipes that were not sloped correctly (sewage water was sitting in the pipes where they dipped). I had several companies come out to give me a quote, and Victor's was reasonable and he walked me through everything.
Victor and his team were great. The job took about 2 days to do everything -- replacing the old shower faucet with a single handle, replacing the pipes in the wall for the shower with copper and then replacing all the outgoing pipes underneath that were either old or installed incorrectly. Victor and his guys were friendly and professional throughout and answered any questions I had along the way. Now have their magnet on my fridge for the next time I need a plumber!

The plumber was very knowledge about his work, whenever we had question about how to
deal with a situation he provided us with different options to deal with
scenario, provide us the cost along with the pros and cons of the options.
The plumber started with the water lines and gas lines having pressure in them to
make sure there aren?t any leaks and also part of the inspection by the
city.  Rough pluming passed without any
issues the first time.  He even suggested
on having a rain shower in one of the bathroom which I am glad I listed to his
    suggested.
As house progressed forward and once we were ready for the finishing pluming items
to be installed we contact the plumber he came and did a walk-through of place.  There were two water pipe that where sticking
out of the wall slightly bend, he did not like the pipes bend he could have
just bend them back instead he decided to replace without extra charge.
He installed the finishing items and we passed the finial inspection.  After a few weeks in the house, there was
slight leak in the water hose pipe, I called him and he scheduled me in for the
days he does maintenance and fixed the issue.
I am very happy with his work and service.

Randy Rasmussen does good work. He explains everything he is going to do, the price is right, and he will tell you a better way to do something. If you have an idea and he has a better idea, he will explain it to you. They were just really, really good, and I would highly recommend them.

    New-Pipe Plumbing & Rooter
Phillip came out and took a look at our unexpected new water feature in the front yard where the old line had burst next to our 100 year old 60 foot tree.  After looking it over, he gave us two options.  First was a spot repair for $2,200.  However it was going to be problematic.  The broken line was less than 2 feet from the trunk of the tree, so they would have to cut some of the key roots in order to repair the line.  Plus due to the location (and the fact that the line was PVC), we could possibly face this same issue again in the not to distant future.  Option two (the one we selected), was $5,130 and involved shifting the line an additional 6 feet away from the base of the tree, and then running a brand new 1 in copper line from the street to the house.
We were also in a time crunch as we were hosting a Bridal Shower at our house the next day at 1PM.
Phillip and his crew showed up on time at 8AM and proceed to trench (while protecting the key roots of the tree, run the new line, connect it all with the house test the pressure, install an new shut off valve at the house, neatly fill in the trench and set the grass back on top and finished right at 1PM. They literally pulled away a minute before the first guest arrived.
While there Phillip also snaked one of our bathroom sinks and checked out our cast iron drains beneath our house.
The crew did a great job very quickly and Phillip was a really pleasure to work with.  I definitely recommend New Pipe Plumbing, and I hope you get Phillip.

    Rooter Guard inc.
Called Rooter Guard and they showed up within the hour. Could not release plug with snake so looked under house. Secondary pipes (the original from 1952 galvanized)were corroded. Decided to get other estimates and was quoted a higher price. Ed, from Rooter Guard was very personable and professional and seemed trustworthy. He did not pressure me and had encouraged me to get the other estimates, so I decided to go with Rooter Guard. They arrived exactly on schedule and their office gave a 30 min. advance courtesy call to say that he was on his way. He and his assistant Oliver, worked non stop for a good part of the day and completed the work. When I saw the old pipes up close, after they had been removed, I had no doubt that they had needed replacement. It's a wonder I had any drainage at all previously, since they were so corroded and filled almost completely with gunk. They had also begun to rust on the outside and were developing leaks, which could have caused termites under the house. Of course, time will tell, whether or not the new pipes are functioning properly, but so far, all seems to be in good order and I no longer have water pooling at my feet during a shower. I would recommend them to my friends.

UPDATE: 2 months after the work listed above was done, the drain plug which had been installed in my bathtub, broke and fell into the pipes below, which again caused my tub not to drain. I phoned Rooter Guard and within 1 hour, Ed appeared and checked out the problem. He went under the house, removed the broken drain and had things up and running again in no time, with no cost to me. He couldn't have been nicer or more efficient. He even went out of his way to check the warehouses for a brass fitting for my overflow valve, to match my other hardware, which he also installed, free of charge. I am very impressed with this company. They have high standards and excellent employees. Thank you Ed, and Rooter Guard:-) Andrea

One of the valves is leaking and was replaced, but still leaks.  The quality of these valves is not good.  I requested a different brand but the technician said that was what the company used.  I am not a happy customer, and I will have to get him back again.  I cannot recommend this company as of today.  Supposedly the work is under warranty for one year, but what a nuisance to continually have a problem that is not resolved.

    Overland Plumbing
I am too upset to write something out here.  But I was charged an initial fee of $150 for a non-emergency Sunday call.  They did not tell me ahead of time how much that would cost.  The guy who came over on Sunday did absolutely nothing ... nothing.  I had to call them back on Tuesday to find out when they would come over.  Eventually he came; did very little work for which I was charged $850 for something I considered relatively minor.
In the future, I will review how I use Angie's list.  Very disappointed.
