Architect reviews in Glendale

Date of project - August through December 2017. Cost over 100,000. I could not have been happier with the quality of work accomplished by SPAZIO, the commitment to making us feel comfortable and answering our questions patiently and thoroughly and the responsiveness to any question, emergency, etc. Our project was long, expensive and very involved. It required lots of coordination among people, such as, architects, engineers, painters, plasterers, plumbers, electricians, and on and on. All the work was done efficiently and seamlessly. Suggestions given to us for vendors to use was also excellent and the materials used were top notch. SPAZIO and Essi (CEO and project manager) were able to keep a good cost/benefit balance so we got, 'the biggest bang for our buck.' I recommend them enthusiastically and without reservation. Pretty much on budget and on time!!!!!

We were trying to accomplish a lot of change with a relatively tight budget and from the beginning Essi and David from Spazio LA were the only team we interviewed that were confident they could do it within budget and in significantly less time than other architect/contractors. We wanted to find a way to keep the footprint of our house, not adding square footage, but rather reconfigure the rooms to use the space more efficiently and more closely aligned with how we live and use the space. We turned a two bedroom home with a tiny awkward kitchen, small dining room and seldom used living space into a 3 bedroom home with open concept living/dining/kitchen and a master bedroom suite. At our first meeting with Essi and David they were offering well thought out ideas for how to reconfigure the space and made us feel comfortable undertaking our first remodel. Their architect, Raffi, worked with us to rework the floor plan and was responsive to our ideas as well as looking at our needs and offering well thought out solutions. Essi supervised our project every step of the way and stayed in communication every day via phone calls, emails and countless texts. We relied heavily on Essi as a designer to help us make choices on materials, colors and fixtures. His vendors were all affordable, yet high quality, and easy to work with. Essi went with us to many of the vendors as our designer and offered suggestions that were lovely and sophisticated yet kept in mind our budget. Our project was managed incredibly efficiently, there were only a couple of days over a four month period where there wasnt some team working on our house. They were also very good about keeping the mess and dust contained as we lived in the house during the remodel. All the teams of workers were attentive, accommodating and friendly. You can tell Essi and Spazio LA treat them well as theyre all loyal and hard working. I also appreciate Spazios approach of specialized teams of workers that know their craft as opposed to a team of workers who all do a little bit of everything. The tile team was amazing and the wood floor installers/finishers did especially good work. Our neighbors have commented on how friendly and considerate they all were with waves and smiles and positive attitudes throughout the process. When the inevitable problems or mistakes happened, Essi always responded right away and would reassure us dont worry, well make it right and he delivered every single time, even if it meant him coming over himself on a Saturday morning, power tools in hand to fix something for us. Were extremely happy with our remodel and have already been recommending Spazio LA, Essi and David to friends and co-workers looking to do any size of project. We didnt change addresses but it feels like we moved back into a completely new home thats beautiful, light, airy, well thought out and built with care. Thanks Essi and thanks Spazio LA, we look forward to saving some more money and tackling our next couple projects with you.

Working with Tony and his team was a great experience. We met with 2 other contractors but no one really instilled confidence or ensured that they can meet our deadline. We started demo in mid-November with a move in date for the start of February. With the holiday season in between other contractors were skeptical in their ability to deliver. Tony was confident it could be done and he did not disappoint. This was our first home and we bit off more than we can chew as far as the remodel but Tony helped us and guided us through the process. He was trustworthy and straight with us with what needed to be done. If there was an issue he brought it up for discussion and we tackled it as needed. His team did an excellent job and they listened to and answered any questions or changes we had along the way to get the house how we wanted. His main team consisted of John the construction manager, Francisco the carpenter and Carlos the painter. Each was a pleasure to work with and gave us quality work. Tony's price estimate was higher than the other two contractors we talked to but the level of service and quality he provided was well worth it. Tony will tell you that from the start. He shadowed us at multiple stores to ensure we buy the right hardware/countertops/tiles/sink/tub/toilet/etc. He helped us with decisions along the way. He was always available via phone or text to answer any concerns or questions. He hounded his team if anything was subpar and made the necessary adjustments to give us what we want. City of Glendale is known for its tough inspectors but Tony and his team dealt with them appropriately, hammering away any issues due to confusion brought on by 3 different city inspectors. Overall we were very happy with Nexxus and Tony. We moved in the first week of February and haven't looked back since.

Our remodel took 5 weeks of actual work and a week of planing in the city. Adam was an open book from the start. He is as professional as any contractor should be. My father in law was a contractor for years and wanted to be involved in the hiring process. After meeting with Adam we all felt strongly about working with him. We are looking to remodel our bathroom next and for sure will hire him again.

It went well, he called me back and we were able to set up an appointment right away. He was super helpful and so honest. He actually said I could save money by not using him completely on my job. I really apprciated that, thank you so much for your help.

He did a great job - he had good ideas, and he's a great guy. He gave me good options of projects I could do that were within my budget, aesthetically pleasing, and the finished product looks like it was there all along.

I hired Supreme Remodeling to totally redo my kitchen and couldn?t be more pleased with the results!  My kitchen was old and looked a mess. I needed brand new cabinets, countertops, flooring, and even new appliances- basically I needed a whole new kitchen. Supreme Remodeling had the best crew ever and an excellent project manager, Patrick. He helped us stay within our budget by not trying to talk us into expensive options and giving us helpful suggestions to even save a little money.  (We had initially chosen a specific laminate countertop. Patrick suggested a  different one that looked identically but was a bit cheaper so he saved us a little bit of money.) He kept his crew on task and made sure our kitchen was done within the timeframe he gave us of a little over a week. They were extremely polite while in our house (we would interact at times while we were coming and going from work, etc.) and they always cleaned up after themselves after each day?which made coming home from work not a dreadful chore since we weren?t coming home to a huge mess. We were able to utilize parts of the kitchen still while the remodeling was in progress which was a relief.
The workmanship was fantastic! Cabinets and countertops are exactly what I envisioned and go together so well. The ceramic tile looks absolutely perfect, level, and all tiles evenly placed.  We bought all new appliances that, much to our pleasant surprise, Supreme?s crew helped us move them in and hook them up! I highly recommend them!

I?m not a big Angie?s List user but after my experience with Jason and Doggers Construction, I had no other choice than to sit down for a few minutes and post this review First of all, this is my first time doing any type of construction. I?m a first time homeowner and just recently bought this fixer upper that I want to eventually flip. My husband and I sat down and submitted a request through the Home Adviser website and was matched up with five contractors in my area. Two of the five didn't even call me and I scheduled estimates with three contractors. Somewhere I read that the rule of thumb in getting estimates is to always get three bids so that was satisfied.

The first guy that showed up was kind of a greasy Israeli guy that was a stereotypical contractor and it felt like he didn't? want to hear me out on what I was trying to accomplish and he kept pushing these different projects on to me, needless to say, it was a short meeting and I sent him on his way. And he was 30 minutes late. The second guy that came seemed like a more honest older contractor but he was messy and from the looks of his car and overall presence, he seemed sloppy, so we moved on to the next meeting.

Jason was the last meeting we had scheduled and to be frank, we were not very excited about it because of the previous to meeting we had. He was 15 minutes early, which was great, but when Jason walked in the door my husband and I looked at each other and kind of smirked because he was a really young guy. Comparing him to the other two guys was night and day - dressed nicely and well spoken he gave us very good insight on how to go about picking the right contractor even if it was not him. More importantly he explained to us the severity of having plans drawn up and approved by the city prior to getting estimates. Totally makes sense. Compare apples to apples.

Once we got the plans approved by the city we decided to give the project to Doggers because throughout the process of drawing everything up, their architect was very easy to work with and Jason was constantly keeping us up to date with the process. When we broke ground Jason was on the job every day and he kept us at ease with minor hiccups that happened throughout the process and delivered the completed project on time and under budget! I recommend Doggers to everyone and look forward to working with Jason again on my next project. Thanks to the entire team at Doggers!

The whole crew is amazing. They worked diligently and maintained the schedule they provided.  The work was beautiful, and the final product is just lovely. I would and will use them for other improvements or additions to my home.

Kari Helman was precisely on time for each meeting. She helped me figure out the process of getting a certain construction permitted. She also helped investigate what had been allowed or done in the past. She and her colleague went to the City a couple of times in my behalf.
