A dear friend of mine had seen Lynda in the past. Immediately I was able to see a change happening in her, something she had not been able to achieve in the many years before she went to see Lynda. It was amazing and encouraging to see this happening, and it was very apparent that – whatever Lynda’s method– it was working in a way that was effective. When the time came for me to reach out to Lynda to address the issues in my own life, the experience couldn’t have been better. She returned my call within the day, and what struck me is that – instead of just quoting me some prices and booking an appointment – she took considerable time to talk about who she is and what hypnotherapy means, and to get to know me as a person first. I went to see Lynda at a time when I was stuck as a person. I was living in my head for most of the time, avoiding emotion, trying to control everything in my life. And I had some unproductive behavioral patterns that needed exploring. Lynda’s hypnotherapy approach is very much based on circumventing the conscious, thinking mind, and tapping directly into the unconscious mind and working through emotions and impactful events that way. Though it’s not an easy process, it was clearly the approach that was best for me. We hit a breakthrough moment in the very first session, and from then on she helped me understand and work through events from my past that were the root cause for many things. They were things I had never even considered or thought of as being relevant, but it all made sense in the end. Today I feel unburdened, lighter, and equipped with an understanding and a way of thinking that helps me approach life differently and helps me avoid falling into the self-defeating patterns from the past. I cannot recommend Lynda enough!

I had successful acupuncture treatments for tendonitis in my thumb, but I wasn't satisfied with the experience; I was looking for someone who understood my point of view. I'm an allied health professional myself, with a scientific bent, and though I do tai chi and am open to alternative medicine, I don't believe in meridians, chi, or anything like that. I've experienced acupuncture working.
I don't know why it works.
So, when my rheumatologist prescribed acupuncture along with aquatic therapy, I was looking for a practitioner who better met my expectations of a medical practitioner than the previous Chinese doctors I went to. Joy is very thoroughly trained and highly experienced in acupuncture and some other alternative modlaities; she's trained in China, all that. At the same time, she takes a good history and practices in a way that fits in with the standards of Western medicine. I highly recommend her, and I'll go back to her if I feel the need.
I do feel better. I don't know whether to attribute it to tai chi, acupuncture, aquatherapy, regular physical therapy, bromelain supplements, or just that this condition can come and go, but the acupuncture treatments may have helped, and this is certainly who I'll go back to if I want more acupuncture treatments.

Massage Envy can be good if you find the right therapist for you. They are open 7 days a week so you can get a massage on the weekends if you need it. There have been times when I got an appointment the same day.

I hurt my lower back in an exercise class and hobbled around for a couple days before I decided I need to take care of the problem. I visited Angie's List and found Dr. Morovati. I called and got an appointment the next day. When I arrived I was greeted immediately, filled out paperwork, and then was called promptly into an exam room. The assistant asked me to describe the situation, took my vitals, and told me the doctor would arrive shortly. 5 minutes later Dr. Morovati came in. I described what happened, he asked questions, asked me to do a couple of things, and then determined that most likely the pain was from 2 potential problems. He felt it was mostly from extremely tight muscles and felt that a few sessions with his elecro-accuscope machine would take care of the issue. He instructed the staff what to do and left. I received treatment from his assistant and then was seen again by Dr. Morovati. He did some quick adjustments and then left, suggesting that I come back a few more times. The staff told me I would be very sore the next day which I didn't believe. I was wrong! Very sore, but the pain no longer existed. I continued the treatment protocol for 4 more sessions. Dr. Morovati does not believe in prolonged treatment plans unless absolutely necessary which I appreciate.
About a month after this experience, I had incredible pain in my jaw and immediately went to see Dr. Morovati. As someone who clenches and grinds her teeth, Dr. Morovati again determined that it was tight muscles that was affecting my jaw and causing me to be misaligned. I again received treatment via the electro-accuscope machine as well as neck and head adjustments. Dr. Morovati thought that it would important for me to receive massage therapy to assist with the problem. His masseuse Chad was very effective. It was a difficult experience, but no pain, no gain. I have seen Chad and Dr. Morovati twice for this problem. While the intense pain is no longer, I do still have lingering discomfort. I will continue to see Chad and Dr. Morovati once a week for another month in hopes of solving this problem. Dr. Morovati talked to me about my mouth guard which he feels may be the source of the problem and did suggest a potential dentist that could assist if my dentist was unable to provide the proper mouth guard.
What I like most about Dr. Morovati is his easy going manner and effectiveness. He listens, asks questions based on what he hears, and then provides treatment without any long term treatment plans. His goal is to make you feel good quickly without having to continue coming to his office. I trust him and have recommended him to 2 other people who agree with my assessment.
The office staff is professional and friendly. They are very prompt. I'm usually out of the appointment no longer than 30 minutes. I waited the most 5 minutes in the reception area before being taken to the back. The office calls to remind you of appointments. Free street parking is available in the front of the office. Paid underground parking is available for a fee.
    I highly recommend this doctor!

The visit went great.  She is very intuitive about her massage.  She has a lot of training and so she really knows what she is talking about.  She does a great job of adjusting her massage based on what you need on that day.  She goes over your whole body assessing where the really tight painful parts are.  She talks throughout the massage because she wants to know if what she is doing is working for you.  She is very interactive.

Dr. Chu is excellent. She e-mails her patients. She communicates effectively through e-mails. She has an alternative mindset, but she is very knowledgeable about conventional medicine as well. She has a really spa like office atmosphere. When you walk-in it is like marble and a little fountain and bamboo. It is very Asian, but very relaxing. She is really superb.

Massage Envy is a national chain that provides a focused service of massage, and in some areas, facials. The environment is quiet, calming, no frills, and basic, but provides a nice setting for a straightforward type of service. The hours of operation are vast, appointments easy to get, and the young reception staff friendly. The staff includes a number of massage therapists, with a range of styles and techniques. The effictiveness and enjoyment of the massage may vary with the provider. The prevailing style seems to be very firm, deep tissue type, which in excess is not my idea of a good massage, but with a little explanation, I've found that most massage therapists tailor the service to fit requests very nicely. I've joined their membership servie, which offers discounted massages at a montly fee, well below market price. The only criticism I have cosnsitenly had is the chattiness of some of the therapists. It's a little annoying to be asked questions in an attempt to open conversation while trying to relax, Otherwise, they provide good service at affordable prices in a pleasant setting.

IT'S AMAZING, BECAUSE I KNOW FIVE PEOPLE WHO GO THIS PLACE AND GIVE RAVE REVIEWS ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCE AND HOW THEY FELT AFTERWARDS, HOWEVER, I HAD A MEDIOCRE EXPERIENCE AND I REALLY DIDN'T LIKE THE ENVIRONMENT. I FOUND IT HARD TO RELAX WHEN HE WAS TALKING ALL THE TIME, I FELT ALMOST EXPOSED BECAUSE THE WINDOW WAS BLARING SUNLIGHT IN, AND I DIDN'T GET THE MASSAGE I WANTED. PRICES ARE WONDERFUL FOR SUCH A SERVICE, HOWEVER, I LEARNED THAT IF YOU WANT BETTER YOU SHOULD PAY MORE. MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS THINK THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE SAVIOR. IT HAS RELIEVED THEM OF CHRONIC PAINS AND ACHES, SO FOR THAT I AM THANKFUL. I GUESS IT'S ALL DETERMINED ON WHAT AN INDIVIDUALS NEEDS AND WANTS. HE CALLS HIMSELF 'THE HEALER' AND LET ME TELL YOU EVERYONE ELSE REALLY AGREES! NEAT!

I used a Christmas gift card. The service was good. It was very expensive. They wouldn't be my number one choice.
