    My Construction Group
There were too many problems to write about in detail, so I'll just list some of them. The workmen were nice but changed form day to day. After explaining what was to be done on one day, another plumber, installer, etc, would come in the following day and we'd have to try to explain what was to be done all over again. We don't speak Spanish so we had to call coworkers to have them translate on occasion. Job took 4 times as along as expected. Several times parts of the job was done and then undone and then redone, due to a variety of issues. Pipes were broken and flooded a room on the lower level. Workers fell through the ceiling, punched holes through the walls into adjacent rooms. Construction debris, as well as trash from the workers lunches were left in the driveway. Shower doors left on the lawn for several days left large patches of yellow dead grass. Front door was constantly left open, we found a stray dog in our home. Couldn't get the drain we purchased installed. They didn't clean up after work, nor did they take appropriate precautions to protect carpets, floors and furniture. They used an old broken vacuum they found in our garage to clean up (after we complained) but ended up spewing the dust and wood shavings from the bathroom into the adjoining bedroom. Tile was installed very poorly and had to be redone, by a more experienced workman. No attention to detail; installed shower diverter upside down ( I had to walk them through the correcting that installation via the phone while I was at work) vent registers also installed upside down, towel hook loosely installed (my husband is currently trying to reinstall). There was suppose to be a project manager, (showed up on occasion, usually after complaints) but really I had to watch and direct the project myself, until I had to return to work. I communicated daily with the GC, but our concerns weren't taken seriously. In the end we were credited some money for the condition of the carpets, but can't make up for all we were put through, or for the hours we spent trying to find paint, and replacements for things they damaged during the construction. The project was completed mid November 2018, but we already have cracks in the grout where the floors and the walls meet. The experience was so bad that we don't even want to call them back to fix the current problems, and I will probably never use a general contractor again. I would have been better off selecting my own plumbers, and installers for this job. The $40,000 spent on labor for this job was just tuition for a lesson learned.

    Wise Builders
Where do I begin? It took me a while before I felt comfortable trusting somebody to take on the huge project of my full-house remodel. When I met Nathan and the entire Wise Builders crew, the decision was easy. From day 1, Nathan kept me in the loop with the progress, involving me and my husband on every aspect. He was extremely transparent with us throughout the entire project and completed tasks before the expected time. I am super impressed with this service and since entrusting Nathan with my project, I have already referred 4 of my good friends/colleagues to Wise Builders! I would recommend Wise Builders to anybody looking for any type of remodel or renovation. I am speechless with the results and quick turn-around.

    KMW Construction
On May 8th I contacted mr. Weinberg. On May 10th he responded. We setup a time to review the job. I needed a tub with plumbing installed and surround tiled by June 30th. I had family coming in for five days and needed that bathroom done. He viewed the job onsite on May 18th. He sent the estimate on May 24th after I reminded him we were waiting for it. We entered into a verbal agreement that he would perform the work on that same day. I didn't hear from him so I called around June 11th. He said he was finishing a job that got extended but he would start my job June 19th. I was to send him detailed information on the tub surround tile and design. I delivered that information along with a bill of materials for the tile shop where I had verified that everything was in stock. I offered to go pick up the order since it is 45 minutes away after he double checked my calculations. I picked up the tub and had the plumbing fixtures onsite. June 19th came and went without an appearance from Mr. Weinberg. No phone call. Nothing. I called. No response. I emailed. No response. I now have 8 people decending on my house for 5 days in less than 2 weeks with no shower in that bathroom and no recourse. I was assured by Mr. Weinberg he could and would finish the job but he never started or communicated any problem to me. Maybe he is laying in a hospital somewhere or there was a terrible tragedy in his family. Or maybe Mr. Weinberg is just unprofessional and too cowardly to communicate with me. I'll never know.

    MARBLUS GRANITE and TILE, INC
We called on Lucia at Marblus to install some new tile backsplash in our kitchen using custom handmade
tile from Fireclay Tile in San Jose.  What a terrific experience.. the finished tile work was above and beyond
our expectations and it came out absolutely super.  Very impressive.  Her tile team was so responsive and
accommodating and the attention to detail was refreshing.  My wife and I are very pleased with the end
result and will definitely call on Lucia and her team when we set up our next tile project!
    thank you

    READY CONSTRUCTION
Mr. Ready did not contact me, so I reached out to him on June 19 to request a start date.  He then asked whether he could start work during the week of July 14, which I did not realize was outside the Angie's List 30-day refund policy.  I said that would be okay as long as he met this commitment because I had other work pending completion of this project.
Mr. Ready did not contact me again, and when I contacted Angie's List to inquire, they told me because the 30-day refund period had expired there was nothing they could do.
While Ready Construction might do good work, they are unreliable -- in my opinion, the worst trait in a contractor.
I do not recommend doing business with Ready Construction.  Given Angie's List refund policy, I would be very careful and vigilant when taking advantage of their "Big Deals" as the contractor can easily delay work start and completion beyond the refund date.

    D.R. Domenichini Construction
They did an excellent job. The price includes the materials that we bought. We could totally trust them since they were in the house for 5 weeks. They were all good people. We didn't have any bad experience. Even the subcontractors were fine, they did excellent work. We were really happy with them.

    Case Design Remodeling
I had Case do a very large kitchen remodel.   My first exposure to Case after prompt set up of appointments by Jill was with Mike Brennan who is like a sales specialist and Kristie Schneider, Kitchen Designer.  We had a pleasant conversation and the process was easy as I knew pretty much what I wanted.  Kristie did some beautiful designs and we decided on one.  She and Mike brought samples of cabinets, granite and tile for backsplash.  I had described what I liked and they were spot on in bringing exactly what I had in mind and we quickly moved into making decisions.  We had some back and forth on costs, but after some accommodations came up with a fair bid.  The project took 10 weeks and is just wrapping up now so I have gotten to know these guys really well. Case's production crew is amazing, headed up by Eric Copus.  Eric seems to work 24/7 and whenever I had an issue he had a resolution very quickly.  His team is courteous, prompt, professional, hard working.  I am not easy to please but the Case team continually exceeded expectations.  That is not to say everything went perfectly.  There is no way with this big a project that it ever does.  It was the great and immediate way they handled every concern that made it easy.
The cabinet maker, Jay Silva, that they use is a true artisan.  I can't say enough about the quality of the cabinets I got, really beautiful.  Most of their other sub contracted work is really good too.  Great tile work and plumber; not too high on the sheet rock and texturing company which will have to redo that part of the work.  Please note Case took care of this redo.  All in all my kitchen came out beyond my best expectations.  I will definitely use Case for my next project of which I have many. :)
