    I had a flood in my home because a large pipe had burst.  When I called USAA I told them what had happened and the woman on the phone told me to put my feet up and they would send someone out to take care of everything. They said that whoever they sent out would pull everything out, clean up the mess, and put everything back the way it was.   

    My insurance company sent this company out and they have destroyed my home. This company went into my den on the first day and packed everything into about 50 boxes, leaving them in piles around my house.  They disconnected all of the computer and telephone systems, saying that they needed to do this to get to the dry wall. They took it upon themselves to throughout things that were mine, packing up my important tax and checking documents and I am unable to find any of it.  They sent someone new each day and they would take 2 hour lunches, text the entire day, and I ended up being the one working all day while they played.

    They did not even get to the garage until the 9th day, November 12th, and I knew something was going on.  They would not come some days or would come later in the day so that the most they were at my home was 3-4 hours.  The equipment that they used to dry areas of the home was broken and the hose had holes in it causing water to go to areas that were not previously damaged.  At the end of this day the provide was leaving and said that USAA had told them that they had to leave because they were not going to pay for their companies services any longer.  They have left me high and dry with a broken garage door, a non-working washer and dryer, electricity and internet that is out, and boxes everywhere.  I am not sure where to go from here.

    They broke dishes, antiques, and other items in my home.  One day I grabbed one of the trash bags they were using and found containers full of my broken things.  They had tried to hide it from me! I have had 17 bones surgeries and it is extremely difficult for me to do anything.  I have had two concussions as a result of the mess in my home.

    Nobody should have to be put through this abuse!  Please, don't hire this provider.  I would not use them every again.

    Rangel Painting
    I called him and he seemed very interested in the job.  He said that he would come on Saturday and I asked him to come to the garage, not the door.  He was then a no show.  He wrote down the wrong address and he was very difficult to talk to, as he did not pay attention to the instructions.

    He came back and I showed him the work I needed fixed.  He asked who did the damage and I told him, but asked him to not contact him.  He contacted them anyway and then was no longer responsive to me.

    He does not show up for his estimate and when he does he does not communicate well.

    The owner, Bill, was a pleasure to work with; he was timely in his responses to us, and very knowledgeable.  The crew at PacWest Painting was consistently on time, polite and organized.   It was obvious the talented 5 member crew had worked together over many years as Bill had told us early on in quote process. The crew proactively asked us "fine-tune" kinds of questions when they were unsure about a decision, for example, the color to be used to paint our chimney caps.  All of the work was completed efficiently in 5 working days with no damage to our house, adjacent shrubs or paint spillage.  The price we were charged for painting and additional work was fair comparing against 4 other competitive quotes we obtained.  Overall, this was the best experience with a contractor for us in our 14 years of home ownership.  Additionally, 4 of our neighbors gave us positive feedback on the painting work and were impressed with the speed of completion of the job.

    We had faux beams removed from the ceiling which left a lot of holes.  After new dry wall was fitted into those voids, new plaster was applied to the ceiling and to all of the living room walls. 

    They did a great job and I hope to have them back when I continue with the remodel of the dining room and kitchen.

    We had a major puddle when our washing machine emptied out onto the floor.  The  washer repair man found it was caused by the drain pipe in the wall breaking off, and not just from a bad washing machine hose.  It had apparently been leaking a bit before that because there was quite a bit of mold in the wall behind the machine.  The laundry room backed onto the family room so that there was a fair amount of drywall that the mold remediation company had to remove.  We had used Your Handyman before and had found that they did an excellent job.  And, because we knew that we were going to be gone most of the time that the work was being done, we knew that we could trust Jeff.  The work involved replacing and painting drywall & trim, replacing the guilty drain pipe, putting the wiring back and replacing the floor and wall of our under-sink cabinet.  It was easy to work out with Jeff what he would do and what we would do ourselves. We were delighted to return and find everything looking better than it had before the leak and that he had even put back our washer and dryer. We're very happy with everything he did.Mark and Jeff are punctual, friendly and professional.  We plan to hire them again for a couple of upcoming projects.

    We called Chris based upon a positive experience in the past to do some repair work on one of our rentals. Unbeknownst to us, Chris subcontracted the work to someone else who then brought in an unexperienced kid to do the work. They ruined everything they touched. Everything had to be completely redone and the $700 in materials we purchased was all wasted. Contractors we brought in later to clean up their mess strongly suggested we turn them into the contractor's board, it was THAT bad.

    Throughout the whole experience, Chris provided us with nothing but excuses, never took responsibility for what went wrong, blamed other people (including my tenants) and outright lied. The best was when, even after we paid him $1500 to "cover his expenses", we got sent a bill from the plumber. When we called him out on it, he sent the following response: "It was my understanding we had an agreement at $1500 to be done with everything we did on this project and that was because everything we did went wrong for one reason or another. As far as I'm concerned the toilet installation was the one thing that was done right . . . If you want to split their bill I would be willing as a matter of good faith with you . . . but it's my opinion it really wasn't our responsibility. . . Therefore it was not our bill. If you disagree let me know and I'll split it, but not because we are taking responsibility for it." 

    Stay FAR, FAR, FAR away.  I cannot say enough bad things about this whole experience and my dealings with them.
