Hardwood Flooring reviews in Garden Grove

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Anthony (flooring technician) provided excellant service and clearly explained all the steps that were
done to provided future results.  Anthony explained how each process would benefit the flooring
during and after completion.  This convinced us that we had selected the correct professional company
that has provided other customers with the same high level of satisfaction.

We agreed that Anthony at 1-Day Flooring will be used for other flooring projects going forward.  Other
family members have reviewed the completed wood flooring process and when their homes require
flooring needs 1-Day Flooring is at the top of their list.

  • be careful be very careful of this guy Geovanny!  He will take your money.  Just check his surety bond companies he had in the past.  4 in 4 years. Basically this guy took 20k in advance and ask me to fire him and did everythings wrong and none are completed.  Be Very Careful he has a pattern of take money in full and not finishing the job.  Will ask you to leave and will put everything not the way you discussed and agreed upon.  I have ten entry filed a complaint with the district attorney so safe guard yourself from crooks like this and stay away from him.

  • We had a great experience with Simon. He was able to do a good job at our house remodeling the bathroom and bedroom of our kids.
The bathroom that they remodeled is jack and jill that has a shower/tub with large vanity. Simon removed all the old tiles and install new ones, new shower handles, Paint and new vanity with sink and faucet.
The bedroom needed to have new wood floor,  paint and closet doors. Simon worked with his workers on this project and the remodeling came out very good.

  • On 2/18/15, Ross Sealy, owner of Ross Wood Flooring came to the house to assess what needed to be done and give me an estimate for installing a new wood floor in the living room, family room, and kitchen. After giving my approval on the pricing, Ross came back on 3/15/15 with one of his helpers, Fidel, who began to remove the carpeting and kitchen tile. The following day, the wood flooring installation began which lasted throughout the next 4 days. Tad, the guy who did the installation, was very professional and showed up precisely at 8am each day. He was a very hard worker and consistently worked from the time he arrived until around 4-5pm each day. He did a fantastic job and everyone who has come over to the house has complimented the overall appearance of the wood floors. I would definitely recommend Ross Wood Flooring to anyone who's looking for high quality work at a reasonable price.

  • My husband and I had planned a remodel that included many things, most
of all, our master bathroom. Our 1950?s master bathroom still had the same
footprint it had when we moved in in 1976. The bathroom had a tiny cubicle
shower about 2 ½ by 3 foot, with a toilet and a tiny single vanity with a sink.
We knew we wanted to enlarge the room by moving a wall into our 4th
bedroom we used as an office. We joined Angie?s List to get some design help
and to find a good contractor we could trust. In 2005 we had a bad experience
with our kitchen remodel. We had chosen a contractor we had met through a Home
Show in Anaheim. It took almost a year to complete and was not ever finished
    completely to our satisfaction.

Regal Construction and Remodeling from Canoga Park had a design offer so
we spent the $29 for a design consultation and 3D rendering. That was a good
way to begin. Asaf Kofler, the project manager was the one who came out for our
meeting, in October, 2014. He had great ideas but listened to what we thought
we wanted to do. He was creative, and easy to talk with. He was not a high
pressure salesman. We were very pleased with the product, but wanted to talk to
at least one more company. We wanted to compare the companies, not just look
for a better price. This job was to be our long-awaited splurge. We met with
another Angie?s List contactor but were pressured to make a decision to go with
them on the spot. There was no comparison. Regal and Asaf had our business.

We wanted to begin our project in January so we could have a quiet
holiday season. We chose January 12, 2015 as our start date. That would give us
time to look around for some of the fixtures we needed. Asaf went with us, at
our request, to help us choose the best products. He has very good taste and listens
to what you want and tailors his suggestions to your desires. Along with
getting us great prices, we were able to order all of the products we needed to
have on hand before we began. Our only other discussions were about the tile
and the engineered hardwood we needed. We already knew we wanted to work with
Pella windows to match the others in our home. They were happy to work with
each other. Since we had very little experience with selecting tile, Asaf, took
us to a tile company and helped us choose our tile and trim colors. I didn?t
want much grout to clean in the bathroom so we chose to upgrade from tile to
slabs in the shower. It was the right choice for us. It is easy to clean,
beautiful and luxurious. We upgraded here and there and had Regal make a custom
vanity for us. We couldn?t find a pre-made
one that we liked. We gave them a picture and it turned out beautiful and just
    what we wanted.

We had to remodel the bedroom we made smaller to enlarge the bathroom
and it turned out great. We had planned to only put engineered hardwood in that
bedroom and the kitchen/dining area to replace what the 2005 contractor had
done poorly. We liked it so much that we extended the wood all the way down the
    hallway.
Our head contractor, Asi, kept his
crews working and they were all very professional. From the framers, plumbers
and electricians to the painters, installers, and finishers, etc. all came on
time and kept the mess to a minimum. The project took 2 ½ months from start to
finish. I spoke or texted the project manager Asaf, almost daily. He let me
know what time to get up and get my pets secured, and who was coming the
following day. I never had to wonder what was going on. We had great
communication and the project flowed smoothly and quickly. I had every question
and concern immediately addressed. Cindy in the Regal office kept in contact
with us for the payment schedules and change order paperwork we needed to sign.
She was very friendly and efficient. We will miss Asaf and the guys. They
became part of the family. We had a slight issue with some partially related pool
plumbing at the end of the project. They came right out and immediately addressed
and fixed the problem no questions asked.
If we ever need something else done, Regal Construction and Remodeling,
and Asaf will be our first and only choice.

  • It went very well.  First off, what Glenn says he'll do, he does...because of the nature of his business, sometimes time schedules got messed up by a couple of hours, but that is to be expected at times.
The two workers arrived on time (I had at least 4 days worth of work), were very clear on what was going to be done, when, and how long it would take.
I was told by friends of mine that removing tile was a huge, dusty mess...it was, but the men cleaned up as they went.  I don't remember it being an issue when all was said and done.  It was LOUD, but that is to be expected. This was true with the sanding also-loud, but they were extremely conscientious and I never noticed any inordinate mess.
In the end, it was all worth it:  both floors are beautiful and done to our satisfaction...
    I highly recommend this company.

    P. S. Hey, Glenn, if you read this, you owe me an additional 5% coupon for the parkay floors when the time comes!

  • Gus was able to schedule us in very quickly and for a very fair price.  We initially only wanted one bedroom done, and Gus was courteous enough to let us know that adding another room (a much bigger room at that) and the hallway would only bump the price up by $150 or so, so we took that offer.  Gus called to confirm the time the day before.  The technician showed up right on time on the day of and got straight to work.  She worked quietly and diligently, only stopping to offer a bit of valuable advice.
My only complaint would be that she didn't really fill any of the nail or staple holes that were left from the ancient carpet installation, and in some areas it's quite noticeable.  However, because the condition of the carpet we were used to was so bad and the unfinished hardwoods were in such bad shape, this is a minor detail for us.  Overall the floors look lovely-- I won't say like new, but still MUCH better.  If such a detail is important to you, however, I would definitely make a point to remind him/her of the necessity to have the holes filled.

  • The office personnel were prompt, courteous, and professional on the phone. A company rep came to our house at the scheduled time, looked at what we had, and provided an estimate. The work started the next day with sanding, staining, and the first coat of polyurethane - a very long day! The next day the second coat was applied. On the third and last day the floor was lightly sanded, minor cracks filled, and the final coat of polyurethane applied. On the fourth day we got our house back and the floor is more beautiful than when it was installed!

  • WE ENDED UP HAVING THE WHOLE THING REDONE, SO THEY HAD TO FLOAT THE EXISTING FLOOR AND INSTALL THE NEW. IT LOOKS REALLY BEAUTIFUL. THE GUY 'CEASER' WAS VERY PATIENT AND EXPERIENCED, WE ENDED UP HAVING HIM DO THE MOLDING AS WELL.

  • It went really well my garage is now complete and it was well within my budget. I am a happy customer and i look forward to any future jobs that i might have.
