    West Hills Masonry
West Hills Masonry review Working with West Hills Masonry has been a pleasure from the beginning planning stages through the finishing touches. Shout out to Carlos and Angel for doing great work on-site, dealing with a few last minute adjustments, following through on my requests to get things done a certain way, and all the workers who exhibited overall high quality workmanship. For example, on day 1 of the project I decided Id like the site of a future shed to have an outlet as well as a power source for low voltage landscape lighting. Carlos discussed options with me, ranging from them taking care of the complete installation of the electrical and landscape lighting, to various options involving me doing more of the work, to the degree that I am comfortable. We settled on a very reasonable option that met my goals to keep costs as low as we could. And it might not sound like much, but I appreciated the small things, like that our yard was cleaned up at the end of each day. I had easy access to the project managers via text message, so that I could get status updates and communicate any changes that were needed if something did not seem quite right. They were always flexible and courteous with any change requests I made. Lastly, I wanted to mention that they handled the unexpected hiccups along the way very well. Things that to me seemed complicated and challenging were handled very smoothly, like my AC unit needed to move slightly, or how to create a pleasing transition from existing concrete to the new pavers along a walkway extension that was added in the middle of the project. Thank you West Hills Masonry!

    FALKON CONCRETE-MASONRY-PAVERS
Val quoted the front (driveway and porch) well below the 2 other bids received, so had him do an area in the backyard (700 sq ft) and it still came out less than the other bidders. Took about 8 working days to demo and install the paver system. Looks fantastic. Added a sealer when the job was done to protect my investment that requires a 3 day cure time. Couldn't be more pleased with the work, the team and the overall experience. Shop around before making your decision. You can't beat Falkon!

    VEGA LANDSCAPE
Nick arrived when he said he would and completed the job on time. I was very pleased with the speed and efficiency with which Nick's team worked. To install the wall it was necessary to put some rosebushes into containers and a lot of that sort of details. Nick's folks took care of those details very quickly. There was a 4 foot section of wood fence which I agreed to remove and replace when they completed the job. I removed the section of fence and was pleasantly surprised to find that, after they had completed the retaining wall, they had replaced the 4 foot section of fence, even properly cutting it to fit the new retaining wall. A job well done Nick!

    DiBara Masonry
Matthew was so helpful in upgrading our exterior features and adding a fire pit to our backyard. They were very professional and courteous, and the tenants barely noticed that they were there. The job went as well as it possibly could have and everything looks great. I'll definitely use them again in the future with my other rental properties and couldn't recommend them more to my friends and clients.

These guys are great. The finished product looks amazing and prospective tenants keep marveling about the fireplace renovation. When they were working here, they kept the place clean and cleaned up after themselves. The tenants who live here had no complaints about the work in progress throughout the home.

    In-Line General Construction
The work that Steves in-line const did was of the highest quality. His contractors did an amazing job. They all did there work in a professional manor. I could not be happer about the results.
Steve in particular was a great help with his expertise in our planing and stayed with us when we went and picked out the materials, cabinet, toilet, tub and he went and picked up everything else that we needed to finish the job.
The shower now has a poney wall next to the tub. we have a glass enclosure on the wall with a glass door next to that. The walls as high as the powney wall are tiled and the floor is tiled in a diamond shape to offset the complete look. the entire bathroom. walls and celling were glazed over and painted. looks great!
I,am looking forward to having them come and do my kitchen complete. in th near future.

    FALKON CONCRETE-MASONRY-PAVERS
We received immediate response from the owner (Val) and made an appointment for the following day for Val to come out to provide an estimate. The quote was pretty much what we expected. We received a detailed estimate within a few days and scheduled the job for two weeks later. His crew always arrived on time and always put in a full days work and the job sight was always left clean at the end of the day. Val shared that he and Charlie, his "expert" on the job, spent a good part of the first day planning the design of the drive and how to layout the ribbons (with the circular drive, we have a lot of odd angles). Val phoned on a regular basis to keep me posted on the project and to seek my input regarding questions or concerns that arose, and always had great suggestions to resolve the issues. Email inquiries were answered promptly.  We requested two change-orders (the added walkway and adding the bricked-in section) which were no problem for the Falkon group. Job was completed on time even though we added the two extra items. Val was a pleasure to work with and Charlie is a true artist of his craft - his workmanship and the finer details of cutting brick to fit curves etc, is simply exquisite. We couldn't be happier and we truly feel we had the best crew for this job.

    Kyle Beym Home Improvement
In August, 2013, I travelled from Sacramento to Fullerton to help my mother in law find a contractor who could repair some dry rot problems that had been an issue for perhaps fifteen years. Her husband (my father in law) had died in February, and she was not used to taking charge of such projects.
I purchased an additional city on my Angies List that allowed me to search in Fullerton, and we discovered Kyle. In fact, we had three different contractors come and prepare a bid, but Memi felt most comfortable with Kyle mainly because she could talk with him, and he listened.
She was born in Japan and came to San Francisco at sixteen. She has always been very self-conscious about her English, but almost immediately she felt at ease with Kyle. She ultimately hired him to do the work and has just gushed about him and his workers ever since. He did everything he said he would do, the results are perfect, the price was exactly what he said it would be, and she is so happy. When I asked her what she most liked about Kyle, she said that he really knows how to listen, he is so patient, and he is so polite. She said that she was able to ask him questions and to point out things that concerned her, and he never once showed any sign of impatience. He was there to help her, and she is so appreciative.
Being back in Sacramento when the work was done, I was pleased myself that Kyle was keeping me informed. But above all he was keeping in close communication with Memi. It would be very easy for a contractor to give a 91-year-old woman from Japan the run around, but he did not. I can't say enough about this. I appreciate his professionalism and his ethical behavior. He is a young man, but he has a bright future!
I haven't seen the finished product, but Memi is just pleased as she can be. She loves the patio, and she is relieved that the dry rot in six of her windows is repaired and nicely painted (the front corbel is also repaired). Kyle and his crew should feel proud for their contribution to her at this stage of her life. It could have been a disaster, but it was a great experience. Thanks so much, Kyle! All the best to you in the future!

    CALIFORNIA CUSTOM LANDSCAPE
The work was accomplished in an amazingly short time?approximately two weeks. The crew was always in touch with Henry, who came by frequently to make sure that all the changes we sought were incorporated into the redesign. When the work was done, we were left with a clean and elegant landscape design that provided a generous 5? wide planter around the perimeter of the yard, a lawn that continues to thrive, a watering system that includes 5 separate circuits and a neat area for our vegetable garden boxes, surrounded by distressed granite. This has been a real improvement for our home, one that we continue to enjoy as we look out at the green lawn, flowers, and trees. To top it all off, the work is guaranteed for a year, with the reassurance that Henry will respond to any concerns we have if anything seems amiss. We can therefore, without a doubt, give our recommendations for the work done by California Custom Landscape, thanks to Henry and Anna, his gracious wife and business partner, for the good work they do!
