Interior Painting reviews in Fremont

  • At the time of the work a little over two years ago, we worked with Tom Levi with Goodfellas Construction to have our work done. Now, some of the work they did (copper repiping and bathroom shower/bath remodel) has failed and we have a water leak in the second story bathroom shower wall that they constructed. The water is leaking down through the floor into the first floor half bath. I called Goodfellas in San Jose on August 30 and the receptionist told me the company had been sold to American Home Builders and that my name was not on a list of clients, therefore they would not help me. I asked for a name of an individual to talk to and/or the manager of the firm, and the receptionist refused to provide it. Then I called Goodfellas in Calabasas and spoke to the receptionist there "Lisa" who told me she would have "Lorena" call me back. I have received no call back.

  • There was water damage on the wood molding above our dishwasher. Then the dishwasher broke. I called several handyman services, either got no response or they wanted an unreasonably high fee. I remembered Fuller Handyman service had done work for us before. I called them, they removed the dishwasher, inspected the area and gave me advice on how to proceed. We'll have them come back to install the new dishwasher once we get the repair work done. Fuller Handyman service is great!

  • We did a remodeling project for our house. Luxcess Home by SOD Builders was very knowledgeable, skilled, did met all the deadlines of many topics related to the remodeling project, communicated with us very often and met the budget very good. The office staff and the project manager were sharp, knowledgeable and always responded punctually to us. The communication was critical during the remodeling process. The painting team did a very detailed job and made sure to cover everything before they even started to paint. After the work was finished, our supervisor came over and checked everything at the house. All his corrections were fixed by Luxcess Home by SOD Builders people on a the same week. Luxcess Home by SOD Builders did the remodeling job done very professionally and to our best satisfaction.

  • George and his team always made an effort to go out of their way to show up early and finish on schedule. George was also very helpful in advising and suggesting colors, giving strong reasons and showing his experience. The paint job was very clean and well done throughout. It was clear that they paid close attention to detail and really didn't skimp on the paint coats. They fixed all of the scratches and dents that were made by our other contractors that occurred after the initial paint job without hesitation. The end result came out better than I had expected. I would hire him again for any other jobs in an instant!

  • We always had concerns and fears in hiring any contractor for any type of remodeling project to our house because so many horror stories that we heard from others. However when we contacted EZ builders we felt from our first meeting with their representative Vitaly that this company is a completely different style of people and we had a very good feeling about them. The on-site crews were very friendly, hard workers and efficient with lots of patience with us. Vitaly the project manager was very communicative person and always returned our calls. The completed kitchen remodeling project was stunning and we couldn’t be happier. We will hire them again for any new projects we may have in the future and we do recommend them to others. We give EZ builders a truly A+ rating.

  • We worked with Moses to upgrade our 30 year old home. He had some great ideas and made our "Old House" into a brand "New House" that we can proudly invite guests into and enjoy. The kitchen remodel is amazing and gave us much more needed counter space. I now have a "Five Star" bathroom and the "Piece-de-Resistance" is the new mantle over the fireplace!!! Moses was helpful with all the details and pretty much available 24/7 (I did call him on a Holiday and he actually answered the phone!). He definitely took care of us and was great to work with!!

  • Both steps were extremely well done by the popcorn removal contractor and then by the painter. I would definitely use this company again. They were responsive, punctual, friendly, and did an amazing job!

  • Buyer Beware! Make sure you check the estimate and contract very closely. The job came out beautifully but that was due to the subcontract – Armando Martinez and his guys taking over directly and doing an absolutely incredible job. They are the sole reason that the job was a success. However: • I ended up paying over 30% more than I was expecting to pay due the higher prices of fixtures, materials and other things that I didn’t realize. • Our contract was for labor and clearly stated the fixtures I was responsible for purchasing – tubs, vanities, glass for shower, toilets, etc. What I didn’t think about and what wasn’t in the contract was electrical boxes, switches, molding, and much much more. I ended up paying for things that I thought were in the price of the job contract but weren’t. • Ofer called several times trying to add items outside the contract, which caused come conflict and stress. Every time I spoke with Ofer the common theme was that he wasn’t making money on my job. • At the end of the contract – I made the last payment and quickly received texts from Ofer that I owed more money and that I needed to pay him what he stated and if there was an overage – he would refund me my overage. I spent several hours going through my checking account and sent a recap of all the payments, who they were made to and the dates they cleared my account. I send to Ofer and never received a response back. Several other things happened that I won’t bore you with – but just want to reiterate – Read the contract closely! • Do your research beforehand on materials you will want so that you accurately know what you are paying – quality fixtures are more than you realize. • READ the contract and make sure you mention incidentals – look around at your current room and make a list of small things you see – start from the floor and work your way up. Again, the bathrooms are beautiful - but the process was grueling.
