Hardwood Flooring reviews in Fremont

    Everlast Construction
Ariel and Everlast Construction are the best. I bought a condo in downtown Fremont and wanted to renovate everything. Ari and his team helped me to completely redo my kitchen (custom cabinets, backsplash, island, etc.) and two bathrooms (marble countertops, new tiles, glass shower/bathtub doors, etc.). They also took care of all the electrical and plumbing aspects (dimmers in bathrooms are a MUST!). The project coordinator Itay was very professional, honest, and responsive. We were in touch almost every day and he kept me up to date on the status of everything. The renovation process was very long and there were unexpected complications but Itay made sure everything worked out and I could tell he genuinely cared. Everyone that comes over to my place LOVES how everything turned out, especially the exquisite tile work in the bathrooms. I've recommended Everlast to so many of my friends and will continue to do so because they are amazing.

    HomeTech Construction & Design
We worked with Moses to upgrade our 30 year old home. He had some great ideas and made our "Old House" into a brand "New House" that we can proudly invite guests into and enjoy. The kitchen remodel is amazing and gave us much more needed counter space. I now have a "Five Star" bathroom and the "Piece-de-Resistance" is the new mantle over the fireplace!!! Moses was helpful with all the details and pretty much available 24/7 (I did call him on a Holiday and he actually answered the phone!). He definitely took care of us and was great to work with!!

    Everlast Construction
I am an engineer in Silicon Valley and as such have been known to be direct, and some would say abrasive. Dealing with oversensitive people has always been a problem for me as I have trouble communicating succinctly simple issues without polite social protocol getting in the way. I have read a lot of the reviews here about Everlast sales people, and project managers being the same. I personally found this refreshing. Working together, we got a lot done in short order. I knew exactly what I wanted, and a good feel for how do to it. We were able to get to the heart of matters quickly and didn?t worry about any distracting conversational pleasantries. In fact, I found their employees delightful in this way. I chose Everlast because of their aggressive sales representatives and the upfront honesty I perceived in them. They could deal with me and me with them. From this beginning, I formed a relationship of trust with the employees of Everlast. We both understood each other. If, at times I perceived the construction work was not proceeding as planned, l learned the most important lesson when dealing with Everlast was this trust and patients. As time went on, Guy Hagai became my project manager and go to person at Everlast. I found him attentive to my queries, very easy to work with, and detail oriented. He kept me updated regularly with the progress of project and made me aware of a lot of the things I had overlooked ? thankfully. His management of this project relieved me of a lot of the stress I otherwise would have suffered through because this was the first time I had ever undertaken such a large project and was not knowledgeable of all aspects of its scope. Because of his years of experience in this field, with customers like me, and dealing with the many issues related to City permitting, scheduling, material selection and so on, things progressed smoothly because of his stewardship. The initial quote for the work to be done was $80K. It was to include 3 new bathrooms, new kitchen, new master bedroom, installation of tile floors, new ceilings, all new electrical, 14 new doors, complete interior painting, installation of recessed LED lights (and a lot of other incidentals ? too long to list). I was told that their best estimate for completion was to be 3 months. By the fourth month, job was not complete. I caught myself getting impatient and inquired why. Everlast informed me that due to new building code requirements, (added window egress required for new master bedroom and extra peering under removed load bearing wall) these delays were the result of City engineers being back logged for weeks as a result of the booming construction being done in the area. The delay was caused by circumstances beyond their control. What they didn?t tell me was that because of these changed code requirements, they were obligated to modify the structural design drawings, and re-submit them to the City of Fremont ? twice. They did this work without charging me extra. I know how much it costs to have this done ? between $2000 to $3000. Again, they did it without extra cost to me. But dealing with the city caused a 6 week delay ? not their fault. I can attest to this because I have dealt with the city of Fremont as well and understand how impacted they are. Everlast used the time to add features to the house I had not planned on getting - for free. I estimate the cost of these added extras to be in excess of $30K as I had long ago gotten quotes from other companies to have them done individually. In total, this amount would far exceed the loss in rent I suffered from a vacant house and delayed completion. Even after the City approved the modified plans Everlast continued to add features they felt ?should? be done. They did these things without asking me for more than the agreed on $80. Everlast did these they are conscientious, trust worthy, and were interested in doing a professional, thorough job which would satisfy me ? the customer. They accomplished this and more. All I had to do was be patient. The list of ?no added cost? additional improvements Everlast made to my property which were not included in the original quote of $80K are as follows: 1. Removal of load bearing wall and installation of glue-laminate beam and under house peering. 2. Construction of ?pass through? opening from the kitchen to the dining room for convenient inter-room access. 3. Adding motion detection LED lights in all bedroom closets. 4. Installing cedar wood flooring in all closets. 5. Wiring and installing ceiling fans in all bedrooms. 6. Installing 2 new windows to allow for egress code compliance. 7. Refinishing of all the existing wood floors in the house. 8. Refinishing of all the existing tiles floors in the house. 9. Installation of glass brick shower stalls, and entry way walls. 10. Replacing all ?under house? sewer lines from all bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry room all the way up to the city line. This alone would have been a $6000 expense. They did a beautiful job under there. 11. Re-routing of kitchen gas range hood exhaust flue through attic/roof in order to accommodate an enlarged diameter pipe. 12. Removal of many walled structures within the house which wasted a lot of floor space and once removed opened up the architecture significantly. 13. Purchase and installation of hardwired carbon dioxide/monoxide detectors in every room. I found the employees of Everlast to be very easy to work with. They always had my interests in mind. I got way more than I expected and would recommend this company to anyone in need of such services. Three days after Everlast completed construction, I received multiple requests to rent the property. All who saw it thought it was beautiful. By the fourth day a rental agreement lease was signed. If I could give Calvin Hoang an A+ rating I would.  Calvin Hoang runs a one man operation and he did an exceptional job refinishing and repairing my Kahrs engineered oak floors.
I suffered a slow leak in the copper water pipe connected to my refrigerator and by the time I realized it, the floors underneath and in front of the refrigerator was in terrible shape.   Compounding this situation was that I only had one small board of the engineered flooring and Kahrs no longer manufactured that product; plus my floor was refinished (very poorly) 10 years ago and  I wasn't sure if the floor could even be refinished or fixed.
I contacted Calvin Hoang.   He promptly returned my calls and scheduled an appointment to look at the floor.  Calvin arrived on-time for the appointment.  He indicated I could replace the flooring underneath the fridge with a similar product  - it wouldn't match, but no one would see it as it would be underneath the fridge.  He could make the repairs in the floor that would be visible with my one wood board.  In addition, Calvin recommended using an oil based polyurethane finish rather than a water based one as the board would be very thin after sanding.  He anticipated that the project would take 5 days.    Everything went wonderfully with the project.  Calvin was always prompt, kept me informed and cleaned up each day.   He is a master at his craft -- there were a couple of problem areas due to the poor job with the first refinish 10 years ago, but Calvin made them barely noticeable.   He is meticulous, doesn't rush through the work and does a top-notch job.

    Number One Hardwood Floors
We chose Number One because of their reviews and because they had the best price and we are glad we did!  We had them remove old laminate floors in our Master Bedroom and Guest Bedroom and install Tigerwood pre-finished engineered floors. One room was nailed and one room floated and both are perfect. The workers were punctual, professional, courteous and, best of all, they cleaned up after the job was done.  We would definitely use them again.
We also want to give kudos to the saleman.  Not only was he helpful and very responsive, but he took the time to get us actual samples prior to the job starting so we could match some other woodwork we were having done to the floor.
Number One is definitely #1 with us.

    The Floor Center
We were moving into a new home and wanted the carpets and hardwood refinishing work complete before the movers arrive. The Floorcenter was the only company able to guarantee completion of the job under such strict timelines. We had also requested wool carpets and memory foam padding that require a special order, which made our short timelines even harder to meet. But William was very organized and told us upfront what we need to do to make this to happen. His guys started work immediately, worked through the weekend, and within 5 days everything was done! We now have beautiful wool carpets and hardwood floors and best of all, everything was done before the movers arrived!

After settling in, we contacted William once more because we needed to replace the vinyl floors in our laundry room with tile. Unbeknownst to us, there were actually TWO layers of tiles underneath the vinyl, which made stripping out the existing floor even more difficult. No matter, the Floorcenter came through and now we have beautiful floors in the laundry room to go with the rest of the house!

    Number One Hardwood Floors
I am happy with my new floors!    They showed up on time, did a great job of cleaning up at the end of each day and my floors are beautiful.   They taped up plastic over all of the areas that were exposed to dust and vacuumed before leavings.   I highly recommend this company.

    Gonzalez Painters & Contractors INC
Our house was in utter disrepair. We had offers for the required repairs from other companies. Thanks to Angie's List we were able to find Gonzalez Company. The manager Gregorio quickly replied to our email request and we met the next day. It was very easy for him to understand our needs. There and then he promised us that they "will give us a house like brand new". We are pleased to say that they did more than they promised and what we expected. Strange as it may look in this "dog eat dog" world they never demanded payment for the whole job until the last day i.e until they handed us the keys -  not even a deposit at or before the job started.
We were simply impressed with their professionalism and business courtesy. Their workers and supervisors (like Salomon) were very dependable, helpful and respectable. Every cent we paid for the job was worth more so much so that we were able to sell the house  quickly and higher than the properties in the neighborhood.

Conklin Bros Carpet and Floor Coverings

It worked out great. The ranking on Angies List were prettygood and it was nice andclose to home too. They were excellent. It ended up taking them longer than they thought and they were still able to finish it in one day. They pulled in another person to help out and it worked out great.

    Danville Hardwood Co Inc
I contacted several providers for a quote to remove carpet and install a hardwood floor in a bedroom and connecting hallway, and refinish the kitchen hardwood floor.
The person from Danville Hardwood Floor inspired the most confidence both in service and in knowledge and skill level, though the price was not the lowest. There were other quotes lower but I had little faith in the skill level and/or quality.
The work was done promptly. There was an issue with a large spot on the finished floor that required that it be resanded and refinished. This cost us time, but no money. In the kitchen, an additional hardwood register was added without cost.
I would use the provider again.
