    Lebec Automotive
I've been taking our vehicles to Jeff at Lebec Automotive for years, Jeff came highly recommended by the locals when we first moved here. I had had work done by another shop in the area which resulted in major problems so was in search of a qualified mechanic who we could trust.
Jeff has done simple oil changes, tire rotations to major work, like timing belts, water pumps and air conditioning work. All done for what we felt lower costs than the dealer and other major shop. Jeff welcomes customers who bring their own parts they can buy at much lower prices and only charges for labor.
Work is always done on time, neatly and professionally. One look at his shop which is meticulously clean and organized is just one example of how Jeff works.
We recommend Lebec Automotive and take all our vehicles to Jeff

    ATG AUTOMOTIVE SPECIALISTS
Took a little extra time, because they were swamped & understaffed because of an illness with a couple of mechanics, but still were able to get the job done in a timely fashion.  They were courteous & professional, and the work done was top-notch.  They have worked on every car my family owns, and many of our friends' vehicles as well.  We live in a small town, so word of mouth is essential for any business to succeed.  There is a reason they were swamped, in addition to the ill mechanics, because people in our area trust that they will be treated fairly, in addition to receiving great service & reliable work.

Absolutely terrible. This ordeal started in Feb. of 2010. I won't go into all the gory details, but I will say that after paying almost $5000 to replace the engine, I received the truck back months later, & it only lasted 3 weeks before it started going south. It was running rough, spewing smoke, leaking oil, etc. In other words, the job was NOT done correctly. I returned the truck to them, it was still under warranty, so that they could fix whatever had not been done correctly in the first place. They kept the truck & didn't do anything for weeks, then just after the warranty expired, the mechanic said that there was a bad hose that he replaced & the truck was now fine. It did run fine at this point, for about four days. I returned it again, but now they said the warranty was expired & it was going to cost me another $2300 to get the truck up & running properly. At this point, I took the truck home & got the Better Business Bureau involved, weeks went by with us exchanging letters to the BBB, however, nothing was being accomplished. I then went to the Bureau of Automotive Repair & told them what had gone on. Finally, the mechanic agreed to do the necessary repairs, which I had already paid for, for no additional cost, at least that's what he told the BAR. When they came to take the truck & do the repairs however, I was informed that it was going to cost me $980 to get the truck fixed, & that was the best they could do. I told them to forget it. I then got back in touch with the BAR & let them know what had transpired. The representative from the Bureau of Automotive Repair then got back in touch with the shop & let them know that the agreement that they had made, about doing the repairs for no additional cost to me, was legally binding. I was contacted the next day by the mechanic, they came & got the truck that day. Four more weeks went by, & I finally got my truck back. So far, knock on wood, I haven't had any more trouble with the truck. So, to summarize, to get the engine replaced in my truck, it only took $4900, 8 months, about 20 letters, 35 phone calls, and countless Tylenol. Oh, and by the way, the oil pressure gauge still doesn't work. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place to have his air pressure checked.
