    CENTURY ROOFING
Awful. Rick gets an A+ for BAD attitude. First, he did not show up on first appointment. Called him back. He then came at the set time with a rickety ladder. Before he even saw the roof he made some derogatory comments, I told him they were not professional. He looked at the roof. Said terrible things about it. (That's WHY we need it replaced.) He said that he was in business for fifty years and knew what there was about roofing. As he was going to his vehicle I asked him if his workers would have better ladders. Smiling he replied that he was not going to do the job. I asked him, "Why?" Still smiling he said that he just did not want to. Because of the weather I guess that he can "cherry pick" what roofs he will do and be mean at the same time. SO NOT PROFESSIONAL!

    JIM ROSEWITZ ROOFING
Jim was right on time. Explained what work he intended to do and Wrote up a proposal. There was a lot of work to be done, Jim and his helper were very fast and efficient. Did a beautiful job of replacing the Facia boards and replacing a lot of damages..I would absolutely hire Jim again. Nice guy and actually loves roofing!

    Chandler's Roofing
This is an update to a previous review where I gave the company an F rating for lack of response and updates to scheduling of my work after a deposit was given. Following my complaint, the company president reached out with an apology for the misunderstanding and was able to get my work scheduled and completed in a very timely fashion. My estimator and the crew that came out were great. No issues or complaints about the price or professionalism of the team that worked on site. I feel like they did a good job, although I'll have to wait for the next rain to make sure the leak is fixed. Barring the office staff that could definitely work on communication and responsiveness, I would definitely use Chandler's Roofing again. This was only a repair as a short term solution and I will be looking to do a full roof replacement once I complete the addition to the house in 18 months. I hope to give Chandler's Roofing another opportunity.

    Concept Renovations, Inc.
I had a great experience with this company Concept Renovations. My brother in law who is as old as I am recommended them and said they were the company to go with. glad I did. My roof is great and every time I asked a question if something could be done it was always "not a problem".

    Vista Home Improvements
I have a 98 year old aunt in MA. She complained of leaks. House was built in 1880. There were two small roof over doorways maybe 3 feet square, my uncle used to repair. I had them inspect. First thing they did was tried to sell me an entire roof, which we didn't need. They did send photos I asked which proved there were some problems. So, I signed the contract with them to do some repairs which included flashing around the chimney and two small roof and I asked them to seal 13 or 14 windows that we previously had installed. It was getting drafty around the house. The installer didn't put a proper seal around them. That part of the project they did well (sealing windows) it was more than adequate. They wanted part of the money up front and I gave it to them. Then it was two or three months before they fixed the roof because they said the temperature has to be above a certain degree. Which I understand, I have a physics degree. They didn't get around to it for some time. They sent me photos of it that looked like it had been properly flashed. I went in September to physically look and what they charged us thousands of dollars to do, to this lady that lives on social security checks and a little bit of savings, it was the sloppiest job I think I have ever seen in my life. I haven't even answered a call from them. It's done. It's over. As soon as the weather changes, I will go back and have someone and fix it properly. The owner, I think his name is Brian Adams, makes a big deal about making things right. When they went out to do the job, they forgot to do half of it on a small roof. It was a month later and then said, "we're sorry". When I called them, I got one message from the scheduler who said "we thought that was done". He gave me the phone number of the project mgr who called me and said "Oh gosh, we did screw up and we'll get out and fix it." Then I get a call from the owner that said "We did everything right. We are a quality operation".blah, blah, blah, talking points. It was just noise and really didn't signify anything. I won't use that company again.  I have negotiated tons of contracts for the Air Force and Boeing and we just wanted to get something done. When I went to see my aunt in September, I was upset. The work they did on flashing the chimney was fine. It was the two small roofs that were the problem. They slapped something down and put some metal around the edge of it. Then put some binder to seal to original structure and the fact that there were two roofs in the bid, they only did one and had to be reminded to come back and repair the other. That's not an indication of people that, you know. Maybe all their other jobs were bigger than that and this was just inconsequential thing to them. It's not like they were far way, perhaps 35 miles. When I call and ask for an explanation, I get 3 different answers from them. That doesn't pass the smell test. There was not a problem with being polite or attitude. It was also in the contract that they would take care of any permits needed. Before final payment, I asked them to show me copies of permits obtained. I knew the town requires permits to do the window work. They thought it was unreasonable for me to ask such a thing. They made the attempt to be professional. Absolutely, will not, heck no, I will not use them again.

Jim was very conscientious and helpful to us doing this project. He provided a free estimate and answered all our questions. He showed up on time, took care not to damage our plants, and cleaned up the area when the work was completed. He takes pride in his work and strives to do a good job for his customers. MPM Enterprises Inc.
All of the work at the home went perfect and without delays.  The contractor and workers showed up when they said they would and cleaned up after they were finished which to me is very  important.  We knew there was a lot of damage to the home however we did not know how much until we actually walked around looking at the damage.  The house was built in the 60's and had not had any upgrades or any work like this done before so going into it we knew it would be a lot of work but thought it would be more costly and take more time.  We were very happy with the work.  Some of the damage was not visible to the eye but if you took a screwdriver it would just go right in.  Since dryrot spreads there was no sense in waiting so we went ahead and hired MPM to do the job.
This was not our first time using the services of MPM.  I first contacted them after they were recommended to me when we were thinking about having a patio cover added to another home we own in the same city.  I made calls and got estimates, however it was a little time consuiming because there was one company that didn't show up and another that kept rescheduling for one reason or another.  We decided to go with MPN because he was very personable, honest and up front,  was there on time, and provided a very reasonable estimate.   He actually helped us design the cover because this was new to us and my husband and I were not qutie in agrement as to whether it should be an open cover or a closed cover with lighting.  Bryan of MPM helped us out, we compromised and the patio cover tured out beautiful.  We love having the beautiful outdoor living space and are looking forward to the warm weather when we can spend even more time outside enjoying it.

    A-Flow Seamless Rain Gutters
Paul came within days of my calls to give an estimate, and obviously was overwhelmed with requests due to the up-coming el nino weather.  A couple of weeks later, I accepted his bid, and he said he would schedule me in when he had an opening.  A week or so later, he called to say he could come and on the designated day, 3-4 workmen came and did the work.  They were friendly and thorough.  They took care in the work, which was quality work.  I felt very lucky that Paul scheduled me in, and the price was very reasonable compared to the one other bid I received.  I would recommend them to anyone.  One small gripe: they left the old gutters in our garbage receptacle instead of carting them away.

    Above It All Roofing, Inc
David Brunn was our contact at Above It All Roofing. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. He addressed our concerns and dealt with our requests. We were scheduled to begin work on this house in a few days when I changed my mind on the materials to be used. I picked a shingle that was a special order from back East and would take a couple of weeks to be shipped to our site. No problem for Dave. Excellent customer satisfaction was his priority. Job was rescheduled with no complaints or pressure.
Helio was the job site foreman. He and his men did efficient, quality work. This work was done on a home built in 1964 and required a lot of repairs before the paper went down.
The house originally had no fascia. After installing, this brought the roof line down, making the front of the house look out of scale. Even though Helio and his men were under pressure to complete repairs on the roof so that the inspector could sign off and paper could be applied, Helio immediately agreed that it didn't look right. They removed the fascia, cut back the rafters and raised the roof line about one foot. Looked much better.
This was the second house that I had Above It All Roofing replace within a few weeks. The first one was on a rental that I plan on keeping long term and this was on my home. Very happy with the results on both. All wood was supplied by a reputable lumber yard. Bring on the rain.
