    Clear Environmental Services
After a shower leak, Rich came quickly and helped me navigate the daunting and overwhelming process of dealing with mold and asbestos. He's knowledgable, reliable, responsive and a great resource for referrals to handle the repairs.

Job went well, despite having to reschedule a followup with a week delay. Crew was hard working, punctual. Cleanup was very good. Marlon was informative. Job was the lowest bid. Good closure by Marlon for final details. Work delivered as expected.

They came out right away and were honest in saying they couldn't find any mold. He was quite thorough and checked everything. He didn't shortcut anything. They didn't even charge me a service fee. My allergist was so impressed and wanted the name of the company because they were honest and a lot of his patients need someone to check for that type of thing. I would refer him to others as well.

    Absolute Maintenance & Consulting
Miguel and Tony did the work and they were very conscientious, knowledgeable, neat, cared about the quality of their work, and took extra care while working in our house.  They arrived every morning on time, worked constantly the whole day, and cleaned up each evening before they went home. We couldn't have asked for better workers to come in to our house and trust our repairs to.  Cameron was very knowledgeable and responsive throughout the experience.  We thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone at AMC and we highly recommend them to all of our friends and family.

I called GEG to clear out the rats in our attic. The guy who pitched the estimate was great and knew how to talk. It was only when the workers came in that I saw a lot of carelessness from this co. 1.they were not punctual. I have work, so if they're late then I am late. 2. when cleaning out the attic they forgot to close the air ducts creating a mess of dust and insulation debris that landed on the bed in the master bedroom.. 3. they made countless holes in my ceiling; though they patched it up. 4. when the workers were cleaning out the attic, they noticed that the asbestos had been exposed because the rat chewed through it.. Knowing that breathing that kind of stuff was dangerous, I quickly agreed to it. The total amount they charged us was ridiculously expensive. When I researched in comparison to other companies this companies fees were sky high! 5. The week after they came back to check the attic and said there were no more rats. But they're still here- called 2x no return call.

    PRC Restoration & Construction Inc
We just had some plumbing and carpentry work done and it was started by PRC Restoration. I was concerned about what appeared to be a leak on the bathroom floor in the master bedroom. It was one of those kinds of leaks that you could argue was from the shower, so I didn't pay a lot of attention to it until it got to the point where the floor was wet. I called the plumber and they came out and said that the work that needed to be done was not something that they did and so they recommended PRC Restoration in Signal Hill and I had them come out. They brought in a crew of people that took the bathroom apart, found out where all the leaks were, and brought in their equipment and set it all up which included some heaters, some dryers, and some evaporators. They put up an enclosure in the master bathroom and ran their equipment for 4 days 24/7. At the very beginning the guy that's running this crew (who's name I didn't keep) brought out a contract for me to look at and sign. He just pointed out and said sign here, sign here, and sign here. I'm concerned about the leak so I'm not really completely paying attention to what I signed, but he verbalized what the crew would do, get rid of the moisture and the mold and then restore the bathroom to an operating condition. Well in fact it didn't say that on the contract. All it said on the contract was that they would take care of the mold and the moisture and leave me with deciding whether or not to use them to restore the bathroom to the previous condition before the leak started. Well, they charged me for that work which included two guys coming in and building an enclosure, taking wallboard out to find out where it was leaking, and ripping up the fascia board off the bottom of the wall. They charged me $1,500 and they were there for about 2 hours. When I asked them about restoring the bathroom based on their verbalization they said, "Well wait a minute, that's not in the contract. This is what's here and you are paying us $1,500 for 2 hours worth of work and taking care of your mold and your leak." I said to them, "Look this was really nice and it's really swell that you did the work and you certainly did solve the problem of the leak and took the mold out (if it was any mold there), but I don't think that $1,500 is worth it." They got kind of angry with me and I finally said, "Look, I'm not going to argue with you. I'll pay the bill, but I will never ever give you a referral and besides that there's a big deal going around these days about companies like yours, PRC, taking advantage of elderly people and based on my age and my wife's age we're elderly people. And so they gave me a $250 deduction, really swell, so I paid out $1,250 for something that was maybe worth $500. And then lastly they said well now we would love to come in and redo your bathroom and I thought to myself that this was going to be another $5,000, so I just called my brother who is a licensed contractor and he came down and fixed it. I had no way to tell on the pricing whether it was good or bad or indifferent. I've just learned since then that there are a lot of different companies that take advantage of people because of water and mold problems and they really rake you over the coals. It's not something that's targeted at one particular group that does that and it just seems to be this issue with mold and leaking that's become a license to steal. Yeah they did the work, but when my brother finally came in to fix it and put up the new wallboard he just said to me that there was things that this restoration company did that they didn't have to do. All they did was run dryers, evaporators, and took the moisture out. When they were done it left a hole in the floor where the toilet was, and the toilet had to be replaced, and dried out wood and linoleum. All the work to make it a bathroom again my brother did. I was very dissatisfied with what they did and how they did it. They came out right away as a result of the plumber calling them and when I wanted them to come back it took them 5 days to get back.

He did come and cover our leaky roof with a tarp and nailed it down until the insurance people could come out to inspect it . He is young. He is also very dependable and helpful.  He is a great guy. He is very nice and friendly. He is also insured.

Ernie was the scheduler and educator. He came to our home and taught us what we needed to know about getting the home ready for them. We wound up living in a motel down the street from our home for over a month while we replaced many windows, and while the ceilings were scraped, plastered, and painted, and while the house interior was plastered and painted, and while tile and carpet were put throughout the house. After the windows, Sirris did their work and we have no complaints about their work, and recommend them highly.
