    A Quality Construction
A Quality Construction service was absolutely excellent. We hired them 2 months ago to remodel our 2 bathrooms. The work was completed last week and the two bathrooms came out perfect and with no problem of any kind. David who was our project manage fulfilled everything he promised and even more. His part of the work was of a perfectionist person and his team of people made it happen. The time frame of the remodeling was very reasonable and the work was finished as he promised. We will hire him and his team again for any future remodeling projects.

    SOD Builders
We enjoyed very much working with Avi, Sari and their crew at SOD builders to remodel our master bathroom/bedroom and guest bathroom. During the remodeling project, the communications between us and the people who been at the house was very good and in fact it really helped with most of the stress that we had during the remodeling. The quality of each one of the crew was top notch and we were really surprised when we saw how they work. Each one of them always wanted to be sure that we were happy. Sari and Avi were fun and easy people to work with in the design and implementation stages. They were a huge help for us since we our design knowledge was not big. They kept listing to what we likes and dislikes and help us to find the perfect products for our remodeling. At the end of the work, everything looks very beautiful and all of our questions were addressed and solved to our satisfaction. We dont see ourselves happier with the results of how our remodeling project came out.

    Home Team Services
They had to come 2 times. First to evaluate the existing configuration of the space and the duct. They found I needed a different model. The second time was to install the new one and modified the existing ducts. It costed $500 addition.

    SOD Builders
After we met and spoke to many construction and home improvement companies, we came to a conclusion to hire Gal and his team of professionals at SOD builders for our large scale remodeling which was to remodel more than half of our house including: The kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and our 2 cars garage. All the remodeling spaces we tore down and rebuilt based on the new design that was done by Gal after our meetings where we shared our vision, ideas and goals with him. During the work at the house, all of the involved people that did the actual work and Gal who managed them, they were all very skilled, hardworking people and professionals. All of their work turned out to be perfect. In this review we want to express our satisfaction and thanks to Gal mainly as he always heard to our concerns, questions and made sure that all of them will be nothing else than just easy issues that were solved professionally. We highly recommend all of them including SOD builders.

They're prices were reasonable, they came promptly, and called me ahead of time to confirm that they were on their way. They explained everything to me. I purchased another service from them that I thought was reasonable.

Valley Heating, Cooling, Electrical and Solar
They were very professional and very good. If there was anything that didn't look right, they took care of it. Actually on Friday, the city inspector is coming over and Valley Heating is sending one of their people along at the same time. The inspector requested it and they were willing to handle it. I think their pricing was pretty middle. They were not cheap, they were not expensive as far as the estimates I got from other places.

Great. Service guy was very friendly. Walked me through services to be performed and then went off to do the job.
The vacuum hose was solid black so I was unable to see  how much dust/dirt actually was cleaned out of the ducts. I'd just assumed that the duct cleaning would use a clear tube/hose to show the client how much was getting cleaned. Unfortunately not. So I just have to trust that the ducts were completely cleaned.
Only con: Once the vacuum hose was hooked up to one of the vents, the guy then walks around with an air gun to all the other vents and sprays them with air to kick up the dust inside the duct. The dust in the duct then gets pulled to the one vent with the large vacuum attached. A by-product of this, though, resulted in dust getting left behind on my carpet directly in front of the vents. The dust-bunnies were large enough to the visible eye. Yes, it's because the external surface of the vents were dusty, but it would have great if the guy had a small hand-held vac to clean up the visible dust left behind. After he left I then had to go around to 3 or 4 vents with the hand-held vac to perform the quick cleanup.

    ABC Cooling & Heating
When my house smelled smokey after running the heater for a couple of hours, I wanted to be sure nothing was wrong (or if something was wrong, that it get fixed right away since it's been cold). I wasn't hopeful given it was New Year's eve, but I checked Angie's list and found ABC which had a lot of great reviews. I gave them  a call and they said they would have someone out between 12pm and 4pm. Ben showed up a little before 4pm and checked everything out. I loved Ben and would ask for him again! He was so nice, professional, and explained in detail about the furnace and how it works. Luckily, he did not find anything wrong and when the furnace was turned back on, it no longer smelled like smoke. At a cost of just $59, I felt it was totally worth having him out. A great experience overall.

The technician (Charles) called before arriving, and then appeared within the promised time window.  He was courteous and thorough in his inspection of my furnace. He also checked all the vents in the house to make sure the airflow was as it should be.  He checked my thermostat also, and much to my surprise, told me the batteries were dead in it.  i didn't even know it had batteries!   He left me with a pair of new furnace filters also!  Very happy with the visit.

    Apollo Heating And Ventilating
Our tenants in San Mateo contacted us early Saturday morning saying that they weren't getting enough heat even though the heater was on all night.
We got two different places on the Peninsula to come out Saturday and take a look.  One said: Bad design with the ductwork by builder (agree on that) and furnace is not powerful enough for that size house (possibly).  Options? Big fix (install new furnace for $2,400) or quick fix (install new ductwork for $600). The other business said: It's not the circuits, but can't tell what it is without full diagnosis.  Gave us a reference for another guy who wouldn't be available until Tuesday the earliest to diagnose.
Since nothing was going to be done before Monday anyway, started scouring the Internet for other well-reviewed places and happened upon Apollo.  Even though it seemed that they mainly serviced San Francisco clients, I called anyway first thing Monday morning and I was able to schedule an appointment for later in the afternoon.
Manny Jr. came within the one-hour scheduled window , went up into the attic for about 25 minutes, came back down and said problem was resolved.  The strap to the cold air duct had come loose and the duct had collapsed into itself thereby trapping the air.  He said the screw used to hold the strap down was too short and thus used a longer screw, which should prevent this from happpening again.  Did he think we needed a new furnace? No, should last another 10, 15 years.Thank goodness for Apollo.  For the price of a service call, saved us from paying hundreds or even thousands for something we didn't need.
