    . Thank you to everyone we dealt with at Metropolitan! They replaced 10 Anlin windows plus 1 French door to replace windows built in the 80s. Before the new windows our house was so loud (we live Near an airport) and drafty but now we can barely hear outside and are already saving on our energy bills. Installation team was professional and cleaned up after themselves, I didn���t have any complaints from neighbors like some people do when they have work done on their homes. Getting replacement windows was a great investment and worth every penny. Metropolitan definitely lived up to their high reviews.

    AAA Superior Sliding Glass Doors
    Scott and his team arrived right on time. They did not waste any time getting the door off the rail. Scott showed me the reason why the door was so difficult. They replaced the rail and worn wheel cartridges. They took less that a half an hour to repair the door. Now I can open the door with as little as one finger whereas before, I needed both hands and full body weight to open the thing. Thank you Scott and your team!!

    Excellent workmanship and very patient. Paul helped me select the security door at home depot and then we transported the door back to my house. Upon realizing the door would be better in an off-white color he helped me refund the door and get the better color. We came back and he fitted the door to perfection. Paul quoted me a great price and he will be doing alot more work for me in the near future.

    If We Cant, We Won't...
    Every time I have an issue that requires maintenance I only go to "If We Can't, We Won't!" "Mo" shows up on time and get's right to work! Very kind and listens to your issue and goes over his plan for repair. Doesn't waste time with any unnecessary chit chat. Very knowledgeable professional and thorough. I would definitely use "If We Can't, We Won't" again accept I have grown confident watching "Mo" over the years that I became a DIY'r myself. No job is to big or too small so don't hesitate to call.     My appointment was purposely scheduled for their first available time that coincided with a time when I was going to be home. I have to work Mon-Fri and they do work on the weekends so the appointment was for a Saturday between 12 & 2. When I spoke to Kris to schedule the appointment I told him that although I had purchased the Garage Door Tune Up, I knew that I would also need a weatherstrip installed.
    Saturday arrives and the technician shows up just a couple minutes past 2 (no big deal really) but then he tells me that the person that was supposed to come to my house called in sick so they sent him instead but that he had already used his weatherstrip on another job so he didn't have the supplies to do mine. He said they would also just do the Garage Door Tune Up when they came back since they have to come back anyway. So now my question is...if your original guy is sick and there isn't a substitute that has the necessary supplies, why not call me to reschedule for another time convenient for both of us instead of having me waste my day sitting here waiting for a service that isn't going to happen? Worse even, when I tried to reschedule something with the technician (Dan I believe was his name, I didn't get a business card even), I was told that Kris would want him to come back since he lives closer to me than Kris does and that he could only come back on Wednesday. Period - that was my option. I tried to provide other times...how about Tuesday, I already have the afternoon off - no they couldn't accommodate that, how about next Saturday, no they couldn't accommodate that...so now I am stuck having to make arrangements for them to come back to my house during a time that is completely inconvenient to me because I had already paid for a service and scheduled an appointment that they showed up unprepared for!
    So I ask Dan (?)...since you have to come back anyway, wouldn't it make sense for you to at least inspect the garage door now just in case it needs other things that I am unaware of, this way you can make sure to bring them with you when you return? He agrees. Asks me if I have any issues with the door and I tell him that sometimes when you close it, it starts to close and then reopens but will always end up closing once you try again. So he tells me it is either the motor or circuit board in the base or the sensors. He will take a look BUT do I have a ladder? Are you kidding me? They go to homes to work on garage doors but if homeowners don't have ladders then...??? So he tests the motor by disconnecting and reconnecting the door several times from the base - motor and base seem to be fine. He reconnects the door for the final time and now it stops short of closing by a few inches and stays there - this has never happened before. He is looking, doesn't know why it is now doing this so I say to him, I think you reconnected the door in the wrong place. He says no, I connected it from where I disconnected it, didn't I? So now I'm showing him where I think he disconnected the door and where he then should have reconnected it. He says, oh, I see. I think you are right. He changes it and, of course, the door closes. Are you kidding me? Who is the professional here? So now he starts to check the sensors to see if those are the problem and he asks me - do you have something I can clean these sensors with, like a brush? I am dumbfounded at this point! No, I don't have a brush you can clean sensors with! Don't you? Clearly not so I offer him a paper towel which is what he uses to "professionally" clean off and test the sensors! So with all of that said, he never figured out what was wrong and I just agreed that I would live with having to sometimes close the door multiple times.
    As he is leaving I ask him if his office will call me to confirm the appointment and he says, yes and that I will hear from them on Monday. I do not. On Tuesday I call and speak to Kris to let him know that no one has contacted me about the rescheduled appointment due to their not being prepared on Saturday. I thought maybe he would care but he gives me the impression that I am wasting his time when he tells me that, yes, my appointment is for the next day. 
    Wednesday comes and I couldn't be here so my mother came to sit at my house to accommodate this appointment. He came and did the weatherstrip which appears to be fine (and I did pay them extra for this service since it wasn't part of the tune up) and I suppose they did the tune up BUT part of the tune up was to replace the ball bearings and lube the track and I feel like if that had been done (or done correctly), my garage door wouldn't still be squeaking when opening and closing. But guess what...it is! The whole reason I wanted a tune up was to fix the squeaking, make the door close when attempted and replace the weatherstrip. Even if it required my paying extra (because I understood that the tune up was what it was) I wanted the garage door fixed but instead for $170 a got a weatherstrip, a door that functions the same as it always did and a case of irritation.

    Paul was on time for our scheduled appointment.
    Prior to his arrival  for our appointment he went over the estimate with my wife and asked if she could purchase wood screws and wood caulking and filler.  I did not understand why the cost of these materials was not included in the total estimate so I later asks if he could purchase them.  I would have thought these items would be something a handymen would readily have available. He started and completed the job and did move all the items from underneath my bathroom sinks because I had forgotten to, but he was not very tidy in clean up after he was done with the faucet installation.  He did not remove the debris that came from the pipes. He stepped in the shower with his boots on and left it dirty.  He did not clean up around the sink or the floor area.  With the kitchen sink floor repair  we had to ask him to lay down a tarp that he had with him so he would not damage our marble floor.  He rolled his large tool table across my living room and proceeded to pull out a saw and saw wood in my kitchen.  I gave Paul high marks on everything from price to quality of work, but professionalism is were I think he could improve.

    I called the morning of the day the work was done. The company responded immediately, told me they could have someone there that afternoon, and the repairman was on time. By door is only 2 1/2 years old, but was apparently not installed correctly. Eventually, the cables would come of the wheels during each use. The repairman explained that the torsion spring had bent all of the support brackets out of shape. He replaced/reinforced each bracket, lubed the moving parts, and also reinforced the lower portion of the door to deal with the high winds. It closes perfectly now. You can tell when someone cares about their work. I couldn't be happier with this experience.

    Rick came out and gave me a demo of the windows they had to offer. I had spoken to several companies and found him to be the most down to earth and sincere. I liked working with a small company that catered to my needs. I wasn't quite ready $$ wise and I explained that to him. No pressure, he said for me to let him know when I was ready. In about 4 weeks I had the money together and called. He sent someone within two days to get the exact measurements and ordered my windows. I was told the delivery would be around 4 weeks but they actually showed up in 2! We made the appointment for install to meet my schedule. Besides replacing many of my single pane windows I also had them remove and close up a single door to the back yard and add a sliding door where a window on that same wall used to be. It is great and really adds light without heat from the sun. The entire crew was great. Friendly, personable and responsive. Every scheduled appointment and delivery was prompt and I have nothing negative to say. For me that's unusual, I'm very picky. When I decide to finish my window replacement it will be Rick I call.

    My sliding glass door was extremely difficult to slide. My wife and I had to use both arms and our entire body to get it open. Scott came in with a couple colleagues, and they were in and out in 20 minutes. The door works like brand new. Scott and his crew was courteous, professional, and easy-going. He explained what the problem was, and showed us the old broken tracking wheels. Now the door slides effortlessly!
