    Orion Flooring Inc
We visited Orion Flooring after having visited and had estimates from approximately 10 other flooring and kitchen cabinet installation companies. After the initial meeting with Sam, the owner of Orion, we knew that we would look no further for the services we needed. Sam exhibited a very respectful, pleasant, and welcoming demeanor. He took the time to inform us on all aspects of our concerns. He did not push us in any direction and he allowed us to make our decision in our time. His installers are excellent, especially Lyo, the flooring installer. The installers for our flooring and kitchen were punctual and did excellent work. They took time to answer our questions, without making it appears as though we were a bother. We are extremely happy with the results of our floor and kitchen and feel a high level of pride each time we look at them.

    Guzman Contractors
Carlos was the only contractor that responded to work with REMNANT pieces of granite.  (They were big, but due to the fragility of the slabs, most contractors do not want to take the risk of the many potential problems.)  He came and gave us a bid, and we set up a date.  (This was actually stored at my home, but was to be installed at my place of business.)  There was some confusion about where the slabs were, and where to meet, but cell phones worked it all out just fine.  The first problem that came up, was the remnants were sun faded in an uneven manner, even though it was stored in shade.  (Time got away from me, and it had been FIVE YEARS since this original slab was installed!)   The part that was underneath, shaded, was all shiny, but the rest was very dull.  Carlos' guys polished it all to dull, then added a sealer to make it all shine evenly.  This was above the call of duty in my opinion.  (I had no idea it was sun damaged until we got them out and cleaned up.)  Next, there was a small crack developing in a strategic place that couldn't be avoided.  They put a glue/epoxy that held it together.  I was shocked at how nice it turned out.  They did a great job.  That said, if you are working with remnents, I recommend his team, but you need to realize there is risk involved, and be willing to bear the burden of that risk.  (Use your remnents asap!)

    The Kitchen Post

Even from the initial contact, Randy was very professional and nice. He provided me price comparisons on the options, and sent me to the store where the granite countertop was going to be purchased. The lady at that store was also very friendly and professional, and I gained a lot of information about the kitchen installation process.

The installers arrived on time come installation day, and they did a good job. I am very pleased with the way my kitchen remodel turned out. I have recommended them to co-workers living in my area, and will continue to do so.

    Solid Top Repair
It went very well. They were able to repair that and it didn't even look like it ever had been damaged. He quoted me $360 and when he came out and repair it, he told me he'll just charge me $300. I thought that was pretty deal. I had researched before I went into Angie's List. They did a great job.

    Phillips & Sons Handyman Services
This was Tom's second project at my house and once again I was very happy.  He and his assistants solved every glitch encountered when installing the new fixtures.  Again, he was a pleasure to work with and followed through on everything.  Since the work was completed I haven't have any problems at all with the installation.

    Advance Solutions Co
I had several contracters come out to quote remodeling the kitchen and master bath in my newly purchased home.  As an after thought I checked Angie’s list one more time and found Advance Solutions, I somehow had missed them.  Ray came out to meet me and offered to walk me around Arizona Tile to discuss what I should look for in materials when working with any contractor.  I took him up on his offer and found that he has a strong design background that really helps someone like me that could use someone to hold their hands while trying to get the materials to match and complement each other.  While of course this was a good sales pitch, it does build the confidence that someone needs when selecting a contractor.  Ray also only quotes the labor involved in the job.  Materials will be purchased by yourself, but he does help you get contractor prices.  (price above was complete job with materials and applicances).  I wasn’t sure what to think about this at first, but this really is the way to go if you want to know exactly what you’re paying.  Other contractors give you an allowance, so you never know the true cost of the materials.   Anyway, the job turned out great.  The most impressive part about his team was that no matter how messy a job might have been, they always cleaned up after themselves.  This was even more impressive since I held off moving into the house until the job was done, and they could have just as easily left  the messy for the next day’s work.   The only issue I could recommend is being sure that you know exactly how the materials are going to be used and how edges will be handled.  These are questions that you must ask while purchasing the materials.  Ask if the edges of the tiles with need trim piece or will they be covered another way?  Its small details like this that will help prevent having to go back to make changes.  Ray was willing to make any changes; it’s just one of those items that unless you ask, something might get missed.

My dad purchased a house that needed some TLC. Before moving in, we wanted the tile floors and kitchen counters. I spoke with the customer reps. several times because I had to reschedule. I must say that each person I spoke with was exceptionally nice and helpful! That was very surprising. Anyway, the house has the builder grade white tile countertops that were in pretty good shape minus some discoloration in a few areas and chipped tile in two areas. We plan on replacing it in the future but for now we wanted a good cleaning. The rep. quoted me about $347 for the floors ($301 with discount) and said the counters would be quoted onsite. My dad met them at the house and was quoted $150 for the counter. I thought that was a bit steep, but my dad agreed. Afterwards, my dad was pleased with the floors, but wasn't as impressed with the counters. It's not that they did a bad job, but the outcome wasn't as impressive as the floors. My dad said we could've done the same thing with some scrubbing and some bleach :) When I came by to look at the results, I agree with his assessment of the counters. The floors looked clean and the grout was pretty good as well. There were areas (i.e. the downstairs bathroom) where the grout was still dark, but the guy told my dad that was common as some areas get dirtier and are much more difficult to clean. I think the price was very high for the amount of tile we had and the results of the counters, but I might use them again for the floors. Again, all 3 reps I spoke with were great!!
