Furniture Refinishing reviews in Folsom

    Wood & Hand Artisans
Stephen is an artist in his profession. Our kitchen table has a unique colored finish where nothing conventional was going to blend to try and fix the table. After being told by Furniture Restorations in our area that they couldn't do an in home fix, that resurfaving the whole 54and quot; square table was our only option... I tried Wood and Hand Artisans. I sent pictures of the damage online and Stephen was at our home on a Saturday with his coloring toolkit to do the job on site. He used at least a mix of 6 different pigments and hand painted them in layers until he had the exact match to the table completed. Sprayed the finish to match the sheen of the table perfectly. You cannot tell the table had been damaged. We are 100 percent pleased. Took less than 40 minutes to complete.

    ReMarkable Refinishing
I thought their prices were very much on the high side, but I wanted to use them for the table because it was an antique. I wanted it RESTORED, not refinished, which I explained to the owner. We even had a discussion about the difference between the two terms. Both the table and the chair were refinished and it was a beautiful job. The antique value of the table, however, was pretty much demolished. When I explained my disappointment, no refund or even discount was offered. The quality of the refinishing job was superb, and they were very professional. My only reason for a markdown grade was, as explained above, that my antique table was refinished rather than restored to its original antique presentation.

    Cabinet Doctors Inc
They installed a 10-foot customized cabinetry in the Sunroom and a stand-alone cabinet in the Kitchen. As far as scheduling is concerned, they were very prompt from day one and finished the project on time. Lisa was very accommodating when we visited their showroom. She helped us choose the type of wood best suited for our Sunroom cabinets.  Kent was very professional in explaining to us  a lot of things that we did not quite understand when we first designed the project ourselves.  He offered a few suggestions that turned out to be real nice and practical. The whole job is worth Angies List's A-rating for this company.

    FURNITURE MENDERS
The project went very well.  Gary Churchwell, the restoration specialist and co-owner is a perfectionist, and is very easy to work with. He initially met with us in our home to explain the options that we should consider.  This included selection of products (wood type, stain color, hardware options).  Later he returned to remove the vanity from the bath to take to his shop.  The refurbishing was done on time, as promised.  He cheerfully stored the vanity in his shop for awhile in order to allow the bath remodel to reach the stage where it was ready to accept the re-installation of the vanity. Gary did not want the new vanity to be installed while demolition, texturing of walls, etc., was being performed.
We now have a vanity that seems brand new and luxurious.
We were totally happy with Furniture Menders and would use them again.

    NHANCE REVOLUTIONARY WOOD RNWL
A few days after the process was completed I noticed that the "color" was peeling off in some places as if the cabinet had not been properly prepped and the Stain was just peeling off. I called Home Depot and they in turn called the company and the original person came out to touch up the problem areas. He gave me a bottle With a small amount of the "stain" and told me that I could always touch up any problem area should the problem arise again. After several months the original cabinet was again showing through in spots. I tried to touch up the problem areas but the paint or stain would not adhere to the surface. Then one day out of the blue I received a phone call about a survey they were taking regarding Nhance. I explained all of my concerns to the interviewer. A couple of weeks later I received a call from the head office of and Nhance asking me what concerns I had and suggesting that I send photos of the problem areas. I did this immediately and to this day which is actually about eight months I have heard nothing back from them even though I have called twice and sent two emails. Interestingly enough, I never ever received a phone call from the original person who did the work and unfortunately I had lost the paper work with his number on it. This product is Advertised at Home Depot but they have told me that they do not stand behind the product at all. Therefore all I can say is "buyer beware".!

    CRAFTSMAN FURNITURE SERVICE
Great! Took pictures of all the furniture, sent measurements and Craftsman sent back a quote. They were so busy I couldn't get the furniture in for almost 3 weeks. However, we got the furniture in a couple days early and the whole job took about 10 business days. I couldn't pick the furniture up during the week, so they had someone come and open up the shop on a Saturday for me. The furniture is very beautiful and we now have all the furniture in the master bedroom.

His name is Terrell Williams and he is really a good person. He is a general contractor but we have basically used him as a carpenter. He has a list of things that he can do and it is a huge list. He has a website.

Terrell was very professional and did a great job repairing my reclining soft - the metal bars were all bent and no longer functioned. I would hire Terrell again, no hesitation.
