    Went well as there was a lot of work to do. They ended up cutting a lot, but left a lot still on the ground when they left. I would suggest mentioning not to cut more than they can haul and load to take away. They also left a big pile of limbs that I had to pay someone else to haul off. They did not bring a chipper as advertised.

    His professional crew was punctual and worked very efficiently. They left the work area spotless when they finished. His price was very competitive. I had used him 5 years ago for a similar job and have been very satisfied with his work.

    Very hard workers.  Got everything done and did an excellent job.  Spread the chipped material around by rotating the exhaust nozzle - making my future efforts easier.  I couldn't have expected more.

    They are very expensive but I had a lot of work that needed to be done. They are very good. They seem to be very knowledgeable and did a really good job. I have a lot of trees. They were here from early morning to late evening.

    Have had owner and crew out three times since 2007. They have cut and removed a total of five trees that were around hundred feet tall from the property did a great job and leaving me firewood. And they have consistently been the most reasonable priced along with the best quality as I have used in the past another tree service. That's why I have been a customer since 2007 and I wouldn't think of having anybody else take care of the trees on my property now or in the future

    Highly recommended! We worked out a price that worked for both of us. They removed the trees that we agreed upon and instead of taking the wood I asked to keep the wood for our fireplace. They not only cut the wood into fireplace sizes they also stacked the wood along the fence. Clean up was great! Will definitely use them again and highly recommend them!

    We purchased the coupon for trimming trees. The agent came out and gave us a quote. We thought we could get all the trees trimmed for the price of the coupon which is what we paid last year from a local company. The quote was triple the coupon price. The agent was very professional and honest about the quote. The price was just too high for us.

    We called for an estimate on the trimming of our palm trees.  Paul had to reschedule the first visit, but contacted us the day before to do so.  When we rescheduled, Jim came out and gave us the bid, then set up the work for an appropriate day.  They arrived on time and worked efficiently, and they accepted the 10% Angie's List discount coupon even though we'd forgotten to give it to them at the time of the bid.  Everything was handled in a friendly and professional manner from start to finish, and we will surely use them many times in the future.

    I called them to set up an appointment and left a message. Very quickly they called me back and informed me that they do not service my area. They were very friendly and encouraged me to get a refund from Angie's List which is what I'm doing.

    Brian the owner seemed very prompt and attentive at first, but then was difficult to reach, after we accepted the bid. The bid was given an a Monday with work to be performed that Friday.
    What you should know first is that we are a military family who was stationed in Hawaii at the time, and we couldn't go out to the house in California and perform the work ourselves. That also limited us to how we would find someone to do the work in that area, without being there. We saw Bishop's and quot;Aand quot; rating on Angie's List, and took that as gold. Our realtor went out there and stayed while the work was done. Of course, before we agreed to the work, we asked Brian if he wanted to bill us for this or if we could send a check overnight, or we could wire the money to him. But I explained that the bank would pull our credit one more time before the loan closed, and this would be considered a and quot;big purchaseand quot; on our credit card, so we wanted to pay via a method other than credit card. He said that a check was fine.
    While the work was being performed, their office manager, April, called me to say that we couldn't send a check, that we needed to wire the money THAT DAY because they needed to and quot;make payrolland quot;. Really? I couldn't believe what I was hearing. But they had us over a barrel because they were still not finished, and we needed the work done so that the inspection by the appraiser for the VA would pass the loan requirements. So I told her to give me the wiring instructions. She said she had another call and would have to call me back. I reminded her that we were on Hawaii time and our bank's headquarters was on east coast time (6 hour difference) and that she would need to hurry and call me back with the info in order to get it in that day and and quot;make payrolland quot;. THREE hours went by before she called me back. As soon as she did, I had to make a trip down to the local branch of our bank because the amount was too much to wire via phone. Of course they did not get it that day. They got it on Monday because it was too late.
    We had other trouble getting some other contractors to perform, so I made a trip our to California to handle that. I saw the work that Bishop's had done. I was horrified. After they ground the stumps, they left all the stump pieces in the planter boxes. They were supposed to be removed so that the stucco guys could get to the exterior walls. The Giant Bird of Paradise plants out front were NOT ground down, they were sticking up and still stuck to the house. Bishop's said that it was too close to the house to get. Then that tree that was supposed to be removed... they left a good portion of the trunk/roots showing. They were told to grind it and take it out. They left a big mess wherever they did the work. They also left their tree/branch grinder at the house... for days! And the tenting needed to start... but their equipment was in the way. I had to call and remind them to pick it up.
    They insisted that the work was done to specifications. It was not. I began trying to clear out all that debris myself, that was left in the planters so the stucco guys could get to the exterior walls to repair the stucco, but it was too much for me to do. I finally called Ramirez Landscaping, and Fernando Ramirez came out and saw their work. He said that no one should ever leave a client's home with it looking like that. He also said that he would have charged only $800 for all the work that we paid over $1,500 for, just a week earlier. I paid Ramirez Landscape $300 to clear out the planter boxes. He also did manage to grind the stumps for the tree on the east side of the house, as well as the Giant Bird of Paradise in the front two planter boxes. He cleaned up the mess, and billed us for the work. I offered to pay right then, but he said, and quot;No, we bill our clients.and quot;
    I purposely waited until now to put this report on Angie's List because I was still fuming up until a week or so ago. I get pretty angry when I pay serious money for a service and it's not done correctly. And to insist that we wire the money that day so they could and quot;make payrolland quot; made me a little more upset. When I drive through downtown Fallbrook and see their multitude of large trucks sitting in the parking area, I think that they must have needed that money to pay for all their equipment!

    We will never use them again, nor would we ever recommend them to anyone we know. That whole thing was so bizarre, and we are so glad we found Ramirez.
