ARemodel Works Bath & KitchenKitchen remodel started November 9th, 2020 and was scheduled for six weeks. They finished early, which was a major plus. From the first phone call to the last day of the project, Remodel Works was highly engaged and supportive. For instance, we wanted a new Kitchen but did not have an idea of what to do. John De Luca designed a kitchen that exceeded our expectations. Ryan the project manager was straight forward, communicated well and got the job on time. Our new kitchen has made it the center of our house. Prior to the remodel, the family would seldom utilize the Kitchen unless it was for cooking. Now it has become the hub our home. Friends and family are amazed at our new kitchen. We constantly receive positive feedback about the design and color schemes. Remodel Works is a professional company, and I will utilize them again for any house remodels.- Patrick G.

ADana KingThis was such a pleasant process from beginning to end! Dana King - Design Build Remodeling has helped us with other areas of our home, and this time we focused on our family room. Dana gave us lots of design advice including arrangement, furniture and artwork purchasing advice, drew up detailed plans for a complete remodel of our fireplace and also recommended paint color and flooring. ARemodel Works Bath & KitchenWe love Remodel Works! After discovering harmful mold and mold byproducts in our home, we had to have many areas (namely the kitchen and 2 bathrooms) torn out. Needless to say we were completely shocked at the level of repair needed. Enter John DeLuca, designer du jour. He helped my mom design the kitchen of her dreams, as well as update the master and guest bathrooms which had been torn down to studs. John was always available for a phone call or text with any questions, even to help us choose paint colors outside of the areas he designed. The construction is still in process, but Lance has been amazing and everything is coming together beautifully. He has kept us updated each step of the way, and has a very calming demeanor (which is always appreciated during construction projects!). Brett has been great as well, always working hard with a big smile when we stop by to check on progress. Both have gone above and beyond in keeping the place in order (we are not staying in the home during this work). They both could have easily just stuck to the project they were hired for, but have done extra detective work in helping us figure out issue after issue with our older home. We know we are in good hands. This process has been emotional, as a remodel was initially something my mom and dad were planning together, but my dad ended up passing away suddenly just over a year ago. It has been such a blessing to be so taken care of by Remodel Works during a rough time. ARemodel Works Bath & KitchenWe had a wonderful experience remodeling our kitchen with Remodel Works. Our neighbors had used Remodel Works a few years ago for their kitchen remodel, and it was gorgeous. That convinced us to use them for our kitchen remodel also. We were very pleased. We worked with a great design team, Mary and John. They helped us come up with a good plan for much better utilization of our kitchen space. Remodel Works listened to our needs and made the process fun. Their computer graphics generated a scaled layout so we could visualize the design, how all the cabinets and appliances fit, and compare any alternatives. We selected our cabinets, counter-tops, backsplash, and other needs from their extensive showroom. Jeff, the project manager, was great and kept everything running smoothly. They gave us a detailed work schedule so we knew what was going to be done each day, and they stayed on schedule. All the contractors and workers were friendly, helpful, and considerate. They showed up on time and cleaned up afterwards. Several times they made suggestions such as adding trim. A day or so before the end of the project, the range hood installer noticed a slight defect in the hood that would prevent it from working well. They postponed the final payment for three weeks so the new hood could be installed, inspected, and approved. Even though the kitchen is the same size, we have better use of the available room and more cupboard space because of the efficiency of the design. Five out of five stars! AChris Alan DesignThere is no way to fully express how happy I am to have the good fortune of hiring Chris Alan Design for a remodel of a 30+ year old house. I inherited a house in Oceanside that needed a lot of work, but is occupied by a disabled sibling who did not want to move, even on a temporary basis. Complicating the situation is that I am a Texas resident and was concerned how I would handle such a project from afar. When mold was discovered in the house, I recognized that I needed to move forward with the remodel. I learned of Chris Alan Design through online reviews such as this. I gave Chris a call, we agreed to meet and did so this past February. He met my sibling, understood the disability and reassured us that no move out was needed. Additionally, he assured me that he would handle the entire remodel working with his experienced team. Short story, he delivered! He kept me informed every step of the way, sending me pictures of the progress as well as pics of selected colors, appliances, flooring, bathroom tile, plumbing fixtures, and calling to inform me when we needed to consider alternatives to the plan. My sibling had no complaints and enjoyed interacting with Chris’s team . . . and, he came in on budget. A+ is my rating and I encourage those who in are need of such services to give him call.- Steve A.

AChris Alan DesignAt our first meeting with Chris Alan, we followed our instincts and decided to hire him as our designer and project manager for a refreshening of our Mt. Helix home. He took a tour through our house, filled us with ideas, and came across as someone who was not only likeable but as someone who came with much wisdom, experience, and good ideas. We have recently completed this project which did not include any remodeling or construction per se. But things looked tired and out of date and he helped us update the look by adding hardwood floors, full house interior repainting, reworked wood/brick fireplace to new gas fireplace with stacked stone resurfacing and new mantel, new furnishings, lighting and light fixtures, and rearranged art and personal décor. We are very happy with the results. There are many positive things we can say about our experience with him. He is very "hands on" and does not leave you wondering what is happening next, nor does he leave any of his contractors without timely direction. The contractors he works with are reliable, prompt, and courteous, and in general the project was completed very efficiently. Although we began the project with an initial non-starter cost estimate to do everything he recommended we do, once we established a budget that we were comfortable with and drilled into the project details with him at the outset, he stayed respectful of our budget, helped us spend those dollars wisely, and stayed within the budget we established. Although he gave us a clear direction design-wise that he felt we should go, he listened to us about our objectives and concerns about the space we were creating and incorporated who we are into the final result. As a result, our home still feels like us but with a completely updated look that we are very happy with. We are happy to recommend Chris Alan.- Karen G.

AJACKSON DESIGN & REMODELINGOn March 23rd 2019 our family home of 30+ years was completely destroyed by a garage fire. This was one of the most tragic and devastating events in our family’s history. Among the irreplaceable possessions and countless memories, we also lost 2 of our furry family members. This entire event tore a massive hole in our lives larger than words I feel can describe. Fortunately, we were insured which allowed us the ability to rebuild, however; the thought of rebuilding what was lost was an enormously daunting task. It seemed as though it would be impossible to recreate a place that we felt was truly “our home”. In mid-April, we walked into Jackson Design and Remodeling where we met with Jim Groen and Todd Jackson. From the moment we walked through the doors of their beautiful showroom and met Mr. Jackson we knew this was the right place. The exceptional care, respect and professionalism they showed regarding the tragedy we had just gone through was beyond comforting. After our initial introductions, we were set to meet with Jennifer Rosenthal and Jaclyn Dunbaugh, our “Design Team”. Both of these ladies were able to envision exactly what we loved about the home we lost and helped us transition that vision into something beautiful and brand new. It was such an easy process with such an amazingly talented team. We were fortunate enough to work with architect David Hall, who implemented amazing innovation, speed and accuracy to bring the exterior of our new home to a more beautiful version of the old exterior. By the end of July, insurance processes had been completed and we were ready to break ground. Though we were not able to live in our home while it was rebuilt, we remained close by and made many trips to see the progress. At this point, our wonderful Project Manager, Joey DuPlante, took over to begin building, which became an unexpectedly simple and expeditious process. Every time we went to the property it was clean and there was visible progress and ongoing work. It truly changed our perspective on how daunting the process had seemed at the beginning. Our design team continued to work with us through the entire construction process, making selections a piece of cake! Jackson Design and Remodeling had our house completed and move-in ready one week before Christmas. This was something we had hoped for but had seemed impossible when we started. The first week in our “new home” was surreal. Everything was different and new, yet it somehow felt immediately like our home. We truly believe that Jackson Design and Remodeling did the impossible and made our lives complete again. Jackson Design and Remodeling not only rebuilt a house, they created our home and have forever touched our lives. We went from the hardest moment we had experienced to sitting at the end of the project, in our new living room with the Team of our dreams who made it happen. We cannot thank Todd Jackson and his team enough. This group of incredible individuals who came together to go above and beyond for us and made our dreams come true. ARemodel Works Bath & KitchenI was able to work with an excellent designer (Mary Jennings) and a very competent contractor (Jeff Aldridge) and my project went well and I am happy with the results. Mary understood my need to have the remodel blend with the rest of my 1924 Spanish house and also my budget. She provided detailed drawings so that I could see what the finished project would look like and offered good advice about the shower, faucets, vanities, and flooring. Jeff was terrific to work with also--he and his technicians were always professional and polite. The project was not rushed but completed in a reasonable amount of time. Any problems/concerns I had were addressed in a timely way and everything was resolved to my satisfaction. I would definitely work with Remodel Works again.- Jeana P.

AFirstly, I have to inform the reader that this is a long overdue review and that I have not seen Gio in 4 years. However, due to my religious beliefs I have to keep my promise and write a review albeit a bit late. Gio and his botanical expert Courtney were as good as it gets, definitely top notch. Gio went the extra mile to study and meet all our HOA's complicated requirements. He was a very good sport about it, as he had promised us upfront he would do that and he delivered. Despite ending up with a disappointing contractor (which he did NOT recommend) because his design was so impressive, we still get a lot of compliments about our backyard. He designed it from scratch as our house was a new construction. I am still impressed by the way he was able to integrate almost everything we were wishing for while meeting the HOA requirements. He was even able to show us 3D conceptual pictures of our future backyard, based on his design which, in retrospect, turned out to be pretty accurate. I do not know why there's a scarcity of recent reviews on ALS here, but I sure they are still in business because this is the number I would call in the future if I need any landscaping design service whatsoever.

AThey did an excellent job. We now have automatic shades and can close them to keep the room cool during the day or to make it darker at night. About 6 or 8 months in, one of the shades broke, likely due to a roof replacement we did on that part of the house. (The roofers removed the skylights and reseated them.) I called Reseda Shade Co. to repair it and to my surprise, they completely replaced it, free of charge, and also replaced another one they thought might have the same issue, but which hadn't broken yet! No charge for either replacement! They were polite and cleaned up after themselves. Would definitely hire again.

AMichaeline and Jessie were more fabulous than we could have ever hoped for! Michaeline gently taught and listened as we worked through what we wanted for our cabinet refinishing. Michaeline and Jessie work so well as a team... and so hard! It was a pleasure to have them in our home. They took great care while prepping, spraying, reassembling and cleaning. The finished laquered cabinets are just beautiful! Better than I could've imagained. MIchaeline and Jessie are extremely professional, honest and kind. Obviously, we are thrilled that they were willing to do our project and we are extrmely satisfied with the outcome.
