    Technician offered two choices: we could keep current system, with some minor repairs or upgrade. Originally, we were going to keep current system, but he offered an upgrade at half their normal labor cost. Appointments were kept, as scheduled, and technician arrived on time. Unlike our current provider, he provided a written estimate of the work. Changes to the original estimate were explained and were, actually, in our favor. They will be providing monthly monitoring at a lesser cost than our current provider We're very happy with the system.

    A salesman came the next day after I called the company. He thourghly explaned their system and what options were available to me. Together we selected a a system including options I required for my installation. I signed a contract for the agreed upon system and one year's monitoring service. The new system was installed and operational within two days. Upon completion, the installer sat down with me and went over the operation of the total system, my required interaction with the monitoring station and the operation of the equipment actually installed in my house. In addition to the cost of installation, the monitoring service is approximatly an additional $50 per month.

    Excellent! I would definitely recommend this alarm company if you dont mind putting up your own sensors. From first contacting them they have been brilliant. The system is perfect, has online features to manage your own account settings. Remote key fobs are a nice touch. Staff are very responsive and helpfull, the system is ace and I would recommend this company without any reservation.

    I've had Bay Alarm in my home for over 5 years.  I've never had a complaint or a problem with my service.  I originally compared several alarm companies and Bay Alarm came out on top in all areas: cost, responsiveness, professionalism, equipment, and ease of use.
    Since installation, I've asked Bay Alarm to come out and make modifications/upgrades and I've always been treated with respect and have never had an unpleasant experience.  They are easy to work with over the phone, appointment scheduling is a breeze, they are prompt to appointments, and are extremely professional when in my home.  They've always gone over and above in their service.

    They always call me. I used some other company and then ADT Fair Oaks kind of bought them, so I kind of inherited this company. They did not install the system; they are just monitoring it now at this point. They just called me last night after I accidentally set off my alarm and they called me right away. Their response time is wonderful. They are working with Sacramento county sheriff. I am synced in with their services. I have a monthly billing with them. Fortunately, I have not had to use them for a burglary or somebody breaking in, but as I said earlier I have accidentally set off my on alarm and they called me within seconds of my alarm going off as I found my phone ringing and it was them. They are pretty fast. If they do not find me at my home number the next call is to my cellphone. If they cannot get me on my cellphone then they call my backup person and if they cannot reach them then they call the sheriff. One time my alarm went off shortly after I left the house and I had just run over to the store and I left my cellphone at home, I was gone for about 15 minutes and when I came back I had the sheriff in my driveway. Their people with whom I have come in contact with have been pretty good. The people who are monitoring the alarm have always done what they are supposed to do. They have always communicated well over the phone with me. Their price is about average.

    After reading the review of this service, I expected it to be good, but it was fantastic.  A better system, incredible people at the other end of the phone, and less cost.  What more could you want?  I made a minor complaint in a survy about installation and they called me right away to follow up on it.  And, they were right!

    Installation was fine and monitoring was adequate. Problem arose when I decided to change to another alarm company: For almost 8 years Brinks never contacted me except to tell my the alarm was going off..no "how are we doing?", no "can we upgrade?", nothing. When I called to end their services, they told me I had to pay the final 2 months of monitoring, even if they weren't active because it was a "year to year" contract. Even worse, they said they had to come to my house to remove and take possession of the old system or they would have to charge me for it, even though I'd been "leasing" it for 8 years. They refused to just let me remove and dispose of the old system, but when they tech came out to take possession and I asked him what they were going to do with it, he said "We're just going to throw it away. It's too old and it isn't compatible to any of the new technology." Basically, they inconvenienced me by having to wait for someone to pick it up just to bust my chops! The system could never be used again! Bottom line: very poor customer service and extremely petty and childish behavior once they realized they were losing a paying customer. I would not recommend Brinks to anyone looking for an alarm system.

    They are very polite when it came to giving us information and they explained everything thoroughly. I was very happy with the entire process and now I can feel safe. This is a reliable service and I plan on sticking with them in the future.

    Previous to moving, everything went well. When we moved into the next home, Brinks rep did not show up for appts to get system installed (we were still in 2 year contract). When a tech finally showed up a couple months later, we got our quote for the new system. Oh, and by the way, it was considered ''re-upping'', and we were forced to sign another 3 year contract. When that tech came back to actually do the work, he found he had been wrong about the original quote. Our house couldn't support their system (after he ripped a hole in the wall) so he said the main office would cancel our contract. They didn't ''cancel'' it. They sent us to a collection agency and tried to ruin our credit. It took several months of phone calls and letters to the local and national office, BBB, and calling KCRA channel 3 to get them to clear our records. And they were amazingly condescending & quite rude about it.
