    Baker Electric Home Energy
Week 1: Worst everything. Do not waste your time on this company. Spent over a week just trying to schedule Baker to come over and do electrical work so that I could get an electrical car charger, air conditioning, and a house battery installed. What a hassle. Sent Baker an email to be contacted (as Baker requires) and was never contacted. Called Baker on the phone and left a message and never received a response or call back. Week 2: Baker never responded to my email or phone call. I was finally able to get a hold of Baker by phone by calling them several times. This week was spent on Baker trying to figure out if they do service in my area. My COUNTY is listed on their web site and states that they do service in my COUNTY. Constantly had to call Baker back to see if there was an update because Baker said their electrician would contact us to schedule service. Week 3: After waiting for Baker to contact me for the second week, I finally called them to see if there was an update. After 10 minutes, Baker finally decided that they do not do work in my COUNTY. Baker also did not have the decency to recommend a company in my COUNTY that would do the service. Baker obviously does not want any business, so do not contact them to have any electrical, air conditioning, car charger, or house batteries installed.

    Garage Door Medics
I used a coupon received in the mail to request a "check-up" of our garage door and door opener. I can't comment on the "quality" of work, since I didn't watch the techs and they didn't do any repairs. But the whole process was just completely strange: very lackadaisical with no real indication that the company cared much about our business. I was not given an immediate report on the inspection - which I think such companies should 'always' provide so the customer has a record of what was done/found and can talk about it with the tech with direct knowledge of exactly what was inspected.. When the techs finished, one of them just noted that things seemed to be fine, except that I should watch one of the door panels since it slightly bowed when the door moved up and down and could become a problem. Since I was given no inspection report, I called the office later and asked for one. I was just sent a receipt for my payment ($58), which was pretty useless. I had to ask a second time by e-mail, and received back an "Initial Safety Inspection" form with virtually no details - and no mention of what the tech had told me, so I had no written record of it. (The form might have only been done up 'after' my e-mail message.) The form says: "Initial Safety Inspection BEFORE 25 Point Inspection Can Be Started" - asking the tech to note whether the door opener worked and whether the door reversed when the opener sensed an obstruction. But 'nowhere' was there any mention of what the "25-Point Inspection" included - or even whether it was carried out. A very unsatisfactory experience for what should have been a pretty straight-forward process to complete to my satisfaction. I'm calling another company to do another inspection/check-up that I have confidence in.

    Door Dorks
The squeaking was eliminated, but only for a couple of weeks. And there is a substantial amount of grease which occasionally falls from the screw to the garage floor. But the noise factor may simply be because the opener is old.

    BMS Garage Doors & Repair
Morning of 11/22/17 found Angies list deal so entered the offer and got a call back within an hr. Bryan had a guy go to our house that same day. He found the problem with our garage door fixed it and did some needed maint. I am a happy customer and so is my wife.

    Door Dorks
He inspected the door before he was to provide the tune-up. He found it is in poor condition and a 'tune-up' would be of no value. He did not do a tune-up. He did replace the light bulbs in the automatic door opener on the ceiling at no charge. Yes, I would recommend Door Dorks. This was an appointment through Angie's List. Will I get a refund from Angie's List since no work was done?

    GDI Garage Doors
Bait and switch. Add $99. To replace rubber seal. when installer. Arrived immediately indicated price $200 additional cost for metal strip part rubber seal has to go into. When I said no thank you they lowered to $100. Really shady. Wish the AD was more honest. I.e. Possible additional part will be needed. At that point I ageed to the extra $100 extortion. Then install needed my assistance as this is two man job. They sent 1 man. Install was poor. Part of rubber not fitting in metal guide. Installer advised that's the best they could do. Avoid this company. I not sure to blame installer or company. Possibly both complicant.

    Precision Door Service
Excellent. We accepted the price and the tech went to work immediately. He was professional and personable. The job was completed expeditiously. He demonstrated door operation and showed us all the system features. I was impressed that he made it a point to explain that he personally would attend to any problems (gave us a ph # where we could reach him) which arose with door operation. He also emphasized the company's commitment to customer support. The door has operated flawlessly since installation. My only criticism is directed to the wiring from the sensors to the motor. There are several places where the wiring ends needed to be attached, one to another. The ends were taped together. Some sort of mechanical coupling would be a more suitable connector. I've had no problems with the wiring and I acknowledge the wiring isn't susceptible/accessible to being pulled apart, but the connections could be "neater." I discussed this with the tech

    Door Dorks
Door Dorks were very prompt. I called at 5pm and they were out at 7:30am the next day. They were very knowledgeable regarding my door and accessories. Since the door was with the house before we moved in I was able to learn a great amount about the style, age, etc regarding our door. Multiple repair options and services were quoted for current and future work. I will definitely continue to use Door Dorks for any future needs.

    Door Dorks
He was wonderful. He knew exactly what he was doing. I didn't know until after he left that he was the boss. He did represent the company very well. It's not moving. It's not doing anything now and it's doing fine. He had it done in nothing flat. Their punctuality was an A+. Their professionalism was very good. He told me exactly what he was going to do and that was what he did. If I have any problems, he would certainly get my call. I would absolutely use them in the future. He was very, very professional. He got it done in 5 minutes I think.
