The Work was completed in a timely manner (7 Business Days). The Workers were Professional. I would highly recommend RAD Construction to anyone who is in need of a foundation repair or upgrade in the San Diego County Area.

RAD Construction first performed a detailed inspection. I received a contract with a firm quote detailing what they would need to do. In the quote they gave me an option of just fixing what needed to be fixed or fix the entire foundation. I decided to get the entire foundation repaired. After I signed the contract and returned it to them they gave me a date and time at which they would start. The Workers with the Forman arrived promptly on the date. RAD Construction first used Hydraulic Jack to square up my house and then they set concrete forms into a concrete footings under my house. They then use treated 4x4 wood posts to go between the concrete forms and my houses cross beams and tie them in with brackets. Then the removed the jacks. They came back a few days after the concrete was poured and the piers were set to make certain that the concrete had cured correctly and that the repairs were good. The RAD Constructions workers did a great job of cleaning up the area after completing the Quality check of the repairs.

    Sludgebusters Septic Service
Sludgebusters are great. Peter came out on time and was very courteous knowledgable and fast. He answered all of my question and told me ways to ensure my septic tank will last longer. I could not be happier with the professional service I received. They have my continued business.

    Sunrise Pumping Service
I have owned this property for 15 years and have used Sunrise Pumping for all septic tank issues. There are two houses on the property, each with it's own septic system. When we bought the property, they did the escrow inspection and added risers to the lids on one tank, so I called them when I needed to have the tanks pumped the first time. I was very satisfied with their service and have used them about every two years since. Since there are two tanks, they give a small discount on each and I do the digging to uncover and re-cover the lids. Ron and John have always been punctual, professional and efficient - I would recommend their service to anyone needing it in the north county area.

    James Construction Cleanup Inc
We had a 40 year old or so large pool and built in spa. Pool's deep end was about 10 feet.   In general our project went very well, delayed only due to rain.  Bobcat Billy and James Construction owner Jim are old-school contractors - they promise only what they can deliver, and they keep their promises.  Unlike most contractors, they did not require a deposit.  We paid James Construction at end of each phase.   They did an excellent job on pool demo, especially considering they had a tough access.  They removed a section of chain link fence & rehung it after finishing.  They removed old pool equipment and landscape debris, and cleaned up afterwards.  When the paint we selected for the concrete deck turned out to be too light, they repainted with a darker color, no problem.  The ONLY issue we have is with the artificial turf. installation.  James Construction team tried several times to "retune" it, but there are still a couple of very visible lines in the turf where pieces are joined.  Bobcat Billy offered to rip it out and start over but we didn't want them to eat the high cost of the turf (the turf cost was nearly half the total project amount).  If not for that, James Construction Cleanup would have "A:"s across the board.  We definitely highly recommend them for anyone seeking to remove a pool.

Cartier Construction and Mobile Home Services
My Mom is elderly, has extreme short-term memory loss, and vision and mobility problems. We (my brother and I) have done everything possible so that she can continue to stay in the mobile home where she has lived for many years, but we can't afford to have someone there 24-hours a day.
In December 2013 my Mom told me that a representative of Cartier Construction Company had come by and told her that her coach needed 'leveling'. By the time we found out about it, the work had already been done. At that point we asked my Mom not to OK any further work until we had a chance to get other estimates. I also called the company and explained to the young lady who answered the phone that my Mom had limited resources and she said she would put down my phone number so that they would contact me before doing anything further. I also found out that the company representative had been on the mobile home park grounds without park permission.
At that time Mom told me that she had been told the water heater was leaking. Both I and my brother looked at the water heater and did not see any problems, but my husband took photos and we researched the cost of a new water heater and found a local company that would replace it for about $700 when we felt it needed to be replaced.
On May 19th my Mom told me that she had authorized further work on the coach. The impression she gave was that the work was yet to be done, but when I looked at the contracts they were dated May 13th and 14th, and when I called the company on May 20th I was told that my Mom had called them and told them she didn't have hot water, so they had "rushed out to do the job" which included replacing the water heater. The Cartier Company is headquartered in Perris, California, and my Mom lives in Escondido, almost a hundred miles away. My Mother cannot remember making the call and there had not been a problem with the water heater when we all saw her on Mother's Day, just three days before the contracts were signed. Again, I asked the young lady who answered the phone to call us before doing any further work.
My concern is not whether there was any work done or if the work was to standard, since I am not qualified to judge this, but my complaint is the ethics of the company: They proceeded to do work in spite of the fact that I had been assured that I would be contacted before any further work was done.  The contract itself is mainly illegible and nothing is itemized, and the cost is much higher than I would have expected to pay.
I have contacted numerous local authorities to find out what resources are available. At the suggestion of the local District Attorney I have begun the process to make a complaint to the California State Contractor's Licensing Board. I have also gotten Financial and Medical Power of Attorney so that I can help protect my Mom against those who might seek to take advantage of her disabilities.
If you decide to work with this company I suggest you make sure that they give you a legible, itemized contract, and that you compare the cost to what is being charged by others.

    Joe's Paving Co Inc
Overall, I was very happy with the repairs by Joe's paving. They went above and beyond and ended up doing much more than we originally agreed. My driveway is 25 years old and not so well built in the first place, so it's due for a complete redo ($10k job), but I figured I'd do one more round of repairs to pospone the big expense.

I got offers from 4 different contractors for either the patch work or a complete redo. Out of the 3 contractors who promised to excavate (as opposed to just laying new asphalt on top of bad sub base), Joe's Paving had the best price. We contracted Joe's paving to repair the private main road as well, so that probably helped me with my driveway job pricing though.

Sean the owner made the initial estimate and bid for the work, and he was great to work with. He had a good engineering eye for grading and drainage issues and made some good proposals on what to fix if I want to completely redo the driveway. I ended up going with just repairs to the existing driveway ($2k as opposed to $10k), but they still built a small asphalt ditch at no extra cost as a quick and easy help for my drainage problem.

The asphalt crew arrived at quite a short notice as some other job had been cancelled, but I understand it's very expensive to keep the crew and machines idle. They had a crew of 10+ workers and got both the main road and my driveway repaired in one day. Sean stopped by a couple of times during the day to oversee the crew, and to tell them to fix a couple of more things with my driveway. All and all, Sean and the crew went above and beyond what was on the original bid, and ended up fixing many small areas we didn't even originally discuss.

I realize my driveway is already on extended time and eventually needs to be completely removed and redone. With the repairs exceeding my expectations, I'm hoping to get 5 more years out of it as opposed to the 3 years I was initially hoping for. Based on my experiences with the repairs, Joe's Paving will be the first on my list when the time comes to redo the driveway.

    All Cities Hauling Service
I chose Kevin based on the good reviews on Angie's List and wasn't disappointed. He always showed up on time and kept his promises. I took a day off from work while he was working in my yard to guide him on how exactly I want to have each area excavated / graded. Kevin was very effective with the Bobcat and great to work with. I was really happy with his work and his price was reasonable. Hopefully I got all my grading work done for a while, but if I ever need a Bobcat contractor again, I'll be sure to use Kevin.
