  • I don't usually write doctor evaluations, but outstanding service by North Coast Cardiology over the years surely deserves a praise. First of all, in an era of conveyer-belt medicine it is truly nice to find a place where patients come first. Its not easy to run a private practice in today's medical landscape. Its much easier to join a big group or a hospital and have the 'machine' bring you the new patient at a fifteen minute interval. Only the best doctors, in my opinion, can resist that trend and use their skills and experience to *earn* every single patient they have. North Coast Cardiology has wonderful support staff who are very professional and willing to take the time to answer all of your questions in a polite and human manner. Scheduling appointments, having Rx sent, labs etc are handled with wonderful efficiency, and yet one never gets the feeling that you are just a case or a number... Dealing with technicians and nurses is also very reassuring - you immediately know that there are no spring chickens there, every one knows their task and are at the top of their field. I am sure of that. Dr. Ludington would not have it any other way. However for me, the real reason one would choose North Coast Cardiology is Dr. Ludington. I have taken my family members to many doctors over the years, but only a few standout as true professionals. Dr. Ludington is definitely one of them. Dr. Ludington is a highly educated doctor - Stanford, UCSF Medical School (one of the top in the world), UCSD (also one of the top Medical Schools in the world) coupled with years of practice and learning at top SoCal hospitals puts her credentials above most of the field. No matter what our media or insurance companies will tell us, not all doctors are educated the same way. Not all of them have the same experience. I trust Dr. Ludington's education and experience. The results clearly show it as well. What makes Dr. Ludington even more special is her willingness to care for the patient in an old-fashion ways - she takes time to listen, never hurrying an elderly person, she takes time to answer questions (either directly or though her wonderful nurses), she takes time to understand individuality of each patient's situation and uses all of her vast knowledge and experience to determine the best treatment possible. Again, without going into specific details in a public review, results always show it for my family. Dr. Ludington is not a magician, psychiatrist or your best friend wanna be or anything else - she is a very serious, focused, down to business Cardiologist, who works very hard, together with her staff, to take care of every single patient under her care with the best tools modern medicine offers. My family has great results under her care and I would recommend her practice without hesitation.

  • When I talk to people, they are always talking about that Kaiser is very difficult but I do not fine anything like that. My two children, who are 35 and 32, where indeed born there at the hospital and I have had nothing but good experiences with Kaiser. I had a heart valve put in, Kaiser did not do it because Kaiser did not have the specialist, so they sent me to some other hospital and they had an excellent doctor that did it. Kaiser is good and I enjoy it. I am old, I am 76, so I go to the doctor a lot because of my heart condition and I am overweight so I have other illnesses, and they really take good care of me. I see them at least once a month for a check-up. I would rate them high, because they keep me alive.

  • Dr. David Woodruff tested my dad, then recommended hearing aids that would meet the needs of his hearing loss. There was no sales effort to try to get us to purchase more than what dad needed. Very happy with the results.

  • Core would not accept the prescription for physical therapy from our family physician, who is an MD. Instead they insisted on an exam by one of their physicians. This meant another insurance co-pay and additional treatment charges.
They charged for a and quot;missed appointmentand quot; when no appointment had ever been made for that time, consequently, not missed.
Suffice it to say that the treatment received was fine and therapists were knowledgable, but the office administration and billing is very lacking and needs improvement.

  • He is just fabulous.  He has an awesome bedside manner.  He is supportive of natural birth.  He helped me totally with my endocrinology problems.  When we are pregnant, we sometimes have endocrine issues; he recommended several things to me that was incredibly effective.  He had a great knowledge of how to help me get ready for a child birth.  He was not after us for our money, if he was, he would be advocating for interventions and C-sections and stuff.  Obviously it is a lot cheaper to do natural birth or a home birth and he is for it.  We felt that he was really reasonable.  My husband loves him.  I will continue to use this provider again in the future.

  • During initial contact with the staff at Sleep and Sinus clinic in Encinitas, I told them I could not afford to have these tests and treatment done unless my health insurance would cover it.   They cheerfully said, "We'll check on that for you!" and a few days later called me back to say "Good news!  These tests are fully covered by your insurance."  So I went ahead and scheduled the first overnight sleepover to test for apnea.   A few weeks later they called and said I should come back for further testing.  It was in the holiday season, so I decided to wait awhile and go back after the 1st of the year.  Thank goodness I did, because a few weeks later they called me and let me know "So sorry! turns out your insurance DOES NOT cover our test, so you owe us $900.  Payable now!"  Obviously if I had gone back for the second test, I'd be owing them $1800, which is far, FAR outside my budget.  In my conversations with them they admitted no wrongdoing and would not budge on the cost. Now, I recognize that insurance companies and doctor's offices seem to have great difficulty in communicating correctly with each other regarding insurance coverage.  The problem is that in the end, all responsibility for payment falls on the patient.  Perhaps a legitimate error was made somewhere in the process, but I was verbally assured that there would be no cost to me for these tests.  My advice to potential clients of this clinic is that you should do your own research with your insurance company and get something in writing in advance  that relieves you of the financial burden. Do NOT trust any verbal assurance from Sleep Clinic that your insurance company will cover your costs.  I'll never know if they lied to me just to get me in there and put me in debt to them.  Certainly the conversations I've had with them on the phone reveal an unyielding and unsympathetic intent to get the full amount of their bill paid.So I'm giving them a low rating because, for whatever good or bad intent they had, they gave me wrong information regarding my insurance coverage.  And also I think they probably could have done all the diagnosing they needed to do in one trip, rather than "inviting" me back for yet another night of diagnostic procedures, thus obligating me to yet another $900 bill with nothing actually fixed or cured at the end of it. I will never return to San Diego Sleep and Sinus Clinic, nor will I recommend them to anybody else.

  • It was a wonderful experience. He is outstanding and he did an absolutely phenomenal job for me. He does hysterectomies and bladder surgery and he is excellent. I highly recommend him for any female needs. He is excellent in every department. His manner is very comfortable. Their receptionist make me feel right at home. He is very experienced.

  • I like that he is still the old fashioned kind of physician. He spends a lot of time with his patients and he really goes in depth with each patient He has a lot of great specialist he can recommend also.

  • I found Dr Musinski in 2004 and have been with him ever since. At my first sons birth I was doing it natural (as I have all of them since) and he was so comforting and got us through it. I wanted as little medical "intervention" as possible and I had the perfect birthing experience. Since then he knows my delivery pattern (fast) and informs the nurses at the hospital to let my husband and I do what we do and he pops his head in every now and then to check on us. He's very gentle with the afterbirth crap that goes on and continues to check on the baby and I while we're in the hospital. He has also done my sons circumcisions and we're pleased with how those turned out too. He's very reassuring with the pregnancy checks and if he ever thinks there might be an issue with the baby's growth he's taken me in his back room for an ultrasound. I've trusted him with all my kids health (as well as mine on several occasions) and he always proves to be the best. I have recommended him to ALL of my friends.

  • He's a smooth talker and I attribute that to two things: He is actually a nice guy and does have a good bed side manner, however I think he over does it to make up for making you wait an hour plus every time you have a scheduled appointment. There were times I'd arrive, and I'm punctual, and I'd wait for 45 minutes and notice that he hasn't even arrived for his morning appointments. I've heard from others (can't confirm this) that he has a busy social life and is unable to make it to his early 7-8 am appointments all the time. Other times he turns his phone off and his office staff is unable to get a hold of him, and they have to lie to the patients and tell them he's not going to be available till later and then reschedule everyone. Since he was suspended from Scripps Encinitas and then later reinstated just to turn around and resign, we'll never know the real story, BUT you have to assume that things like that don't happen to responsible, hard working doctors. He had it coming for some reason and he can't blame the chief of staff, or whoever he had the beef with. I've also heard, again can't confirm, that he's had patients go into labor and the nurses at Scripps Encinitas couldn't get a hold of him and he missed the delivery. These things I've heard could be exaggerations, but I'm not willing to deal with someone that is having a bumpy time, especially for my first pregnancy when I don't need any extra drama.
