    DM Building Inc
The work completed was of the highest quality. Danny, the owner of DM Building, is a fair and honest business owner, and very responsive. He has a very skilled group of people and they did a great job from start to finish. Our foreman, Scott, who treated the project like it was his own home, provided excellent guidance and help throughout the remodel. The attention to detail was impressive and suggestions were made along the way which made the house even better. Most of the workers are employees which helps in scheduling work. We did work with some contractors recommended and managed by DM Building for kitchen and laundry cabinets, as well as tiling and flooring--and they were professional and did excellent work. In my case, I had never done a remodel and my husband was the main contact in initiating the work. Unfortunately, he died when we were in the middle of the rebuild. Danny, Scott and his crew were very supportive and helped me through the remodel, over and above my expectations, accommodating additional changes and working with me to get everything completed. The house is beautiful.

    J.L. Dickinson General Contractor Inc
It went very well! Now, did everything go smoothly? No issues? Without a hitch? Yes, it did...NOT. That is not why I gave an A rating. It is because of Jeff's response to any/all issues that arose due to Murphy's Law, life, etc. He listened to us! No one is perfect and what sets one business apart from another is the owner's genuine involvement, diplomacy and problem-solving. When we first discussed the siding for our home with Jeff it was just for repairs. Yes, repairs for 30+ year old siding. Yikes! Even then, Jeff didn't try to up sell or pressure us to replace it all. He was intent on working within our budget. My husband took a step back and asked Jeff for samples and his expert opinion. A few days later...we decided to have him install new siding for our California front home. :-)) My husband enjoyed working with Jeff because he's nice, direct, unassuming and wants what's best for his customers. Why? Well, I think it's because he's a consumer as well and just a good guy. Oh, I forgot to mention, he squeezed us in his very tight and busy schedule. He had a great carpenter working with/for him named Mike who was a crack-up, down-to-earth and hard-working. :-)) Everyday Mike was on time before time making it happen. Day by day we saw the hideous 30+ year old salmon colored siding change into this cool new Hardie Primed Cedarmill Fiber Cement Lap Siding - awesome! Needless to say, every chance he got, Jeff was working right beside him. What we truly appreciated was Jeff notified us of "other" things he saw that needed attention, offered suggestions and provided solutions. Even more, we gave Jeff a budget and he respected it, keeping us informed of any and all cost fluctuations. Hats off, kudos and great job Jeff! So, for all you Angie's have found your General Contractor. Last but not least, he does more than siding. ;-))

    Remodel Works Bath & Kitchen
We went with Remodel Works based on the strength of previous reviews and the attention to detail we saw from the designer. Much of this job went quite well. The designer (Yvette) was clearly knowledgeable and did a great job helping us choose everything needed to help carry out our vision for remodeling the bathrooms. The project manager, Paul, was personable, easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and unflappable (in the face of dust setting off our loud smoke detector on the first day of the job, Paul remained calm while trying to sort out how to turn to the alarm off). By the end of the job, we were quite pleased with the final product, which we continue to enjoy months later. However, our overall ratings were diminished because of numerous red flags along the way. Based on what we heard, it appears that Remodel Works was either under new management, or the current management was not making quality a high priority. More than once, contract workers would show up only to discover that materials they needed had not yet been delivered. This appeared to be directly related to expect too few people to cover too many jobs. At a couple of stages of the project, people discovered belatedly that the wrong materials had been ordered. More than one of the crew told us that these shortcomings had not occurred often in the past, but were now frequent. Various stages of work would repeatedly be delayed at the last minute as it would suddenly be discovered that someone could not work on a particular day. When it was discovered in a couple of cases that the wrong item had been ordered, it took a couple of months for the replacement to arrive, only to discover that it was also the wrong item. As a result of all of this, a project that was projected with a clear, detailed timeline to be finished in 4-1/2 months (including buffers for things slipping between the cracks), finally ended only after 9 months. In parallel, throughout the project, it seemed that miscommunications from bookkeeping on pending payments were routine. This isn't to say that none of those who worked on our home were professional. At least two come to mind (Javier and Drew), both of whom were excellent. However, the overall result was not one that inspired confidence.

    Remodel Works Bath & Kitchen
The remodeling and design went very well. Designer, John DeLuca, took the time to make sure that we got the look and feel that we wanted. Project manager, Jeff Aldridge, set up work schedule that worked out very efficiently for us. He stopped by everyday to check on the progress and answer questions we might have about the project. The technician, Ashley Kruckenberg, was prompt and reliable. He made us feel comfortable in any of the work that he was doing.

    US Window & Door
The initial meeting for the free quote went well -- we discussed the work we needed done with the salesperson, Mark. He said that he would take "1-2 days" to obtain a quote for a couple of different options we were interested in. A week later, we hadn't heard back, so I emailed Mark. A few days go by, so I call the original person who set up the appointment. Still nothing. Then, I email both Mark and the scheduler, and finally get a quote from Mark the next day. The only problem is that the quote doesn't include pricing information for the different options we discussed. So, I immediately follow up with an email, never to get a response with an updated quote. After 3.5 weeks, we still hadn't received a corrected quote so I emailed them and told them we'd be looking into a different service provider and that we were disappointed with the service from US Window and Door -- unsurprisingly, we never got a response to that email, either. What was extra strange throughout this whole process was that we would continually get emails supposedly sent "directly from the company president", or follow up emails from the salesperson or from a customer service rep asking for our feedback and checking in to see if everything was going well, or even an email thanking us for working with them. It was so bizarre and clear that no one was actually paying any attention to their customers -- just sending form letters. If they had only responded to our emails or given us an updated quote, they would certainly be making money from us right now.

    R. L. Helms Lock and Door
Amazing! We have been trying to find someone to help us with this for months but companies just tried to get us to spend a ton of money on new doors. Rob took one look at the door and came up with solutions and got the job done quickly and cost effectively. The door repair was exactly what was needed. I highly recommend him!

    Coughlin Windows & Doors Inc

Look no further for your window replacements.  They install a quality product with a life time guarantee.  I had my whole house done - 18 windows and a sliding glass door.  Gerald followed up with every detail.  He was able to calculate everything I needed in front of me when he came to do the estimate.  His installers, Steve and Anthony worked non stop each day.  I saw them grab a bite to eat for lunch standing at the truck.  Their attention to detail was incredible.  They were so picky about their work.  Everything seems to be plumb, level and square.  The caulking was done with such detail that it looks like it was manufactured with the windows.

They were always on time and let me know what to expect from the schedule.  Gerald's price was about $300.00 more than what appeared to be the same install from another company.  But the other company never contacted me after the quote was done.  I'm so happy with the work and product.  I wish Gerald's company did other things besides windows because Coughlin is the best!

    American Vision Windows
Extremely pleased with the quality, price, and process.  From the sales call to the installation, I was very happy with the entire process.   Windows were delivered on schedule and the installation crew was friendly, professional and efficient.   This was my first experience with vinyl window replacement and I am quite happy with the results.
I would very gladly refer American Vision WIndows to any friend who was interested in vinyl windows.   Great experience for me.

    Moss Replacement Windows Inc

I'm very happy with Moss Window Replacement.  Their estimate for the replacement of all windows and patio door was the lowest of several. They arrived on time, were efficient and professional, and did one of the best cleanup jobs.  They even went the extra mile by doing extra caulking, leveling out stubborn stucco and even helped us rehang our blinds.  I expected a stressful day and they made it relatively painless.  I highly recommend this company.

I found him through Angie’s List. He was very good and I liked him a lot. He was willing to work with me. He was very flexible. I didn’t like one of the guys that he called in just to do some drywall fixing up. He had to rewire under the window because I have outlets on both sides of the door.
