    Wise And Wonderful

They come out to our house. They have an RV that they bring to your house. It is useful if you have pets that don't like to go to the vet. We had a cat that got in a fight and had a sore leg or something -- we did not know what was wrong. About five or six years ago they came out and just set up shop in our bathroom, cleaned the area, gave her an injection and figured out what it was. When we got two new kittens they came out and gave shots. It is basic veterinary, like going to the doctor, only a house call. I want to say I like the mobile service and they are about 10 percent more expensive than an average vet, the visit charge is, like, $120.  I don't mind that, but I don't like that they charge per pet for the visit charge. So we have two cats and they charge us twice to come out.  I love the service; I just don't like that one aspect. I give them a B for punctuality just because of traffic and the logistics of getting their RV there so you need to give them a big window. Their professionalism is great. They are really friendly with your pets and everybody loves them.

    VCA Holly Street Animal Hospital
The clinic is well managed with a very caring staff.  Dr Eric Christanson is wonderful.  My dog has had numerous surgeries and every time I am more impressed with the care especially for a senior pet.  Most recently he had a ruptured cyst removed from his back and since he would be under anesthesia, had his teeth examined.  I left it up to Dr Christanson how many would need extractions as I totally trust his clinical judgement and seven or eight were removed.

    Healthy Paws Pet Insurance
Puppy required over 2 hours of sophisticated initial emergency treatment plus hospitalization with subsequent transfer to specialty vet hospital for 2+ more hours of reconstructive surgery and over 2 weeks of follow up care. Another 2 hours of surgery was required to close three open wounds for which insufficient skin had been available, earlier. Care at the best facilities was possible only because I had purchased this insurance for her... Healthy Paws' staff and treatment have been caring, friendly, supportive, compassionate, and positive, and processing of claims has been swift, enabling charge card accounts to be paid off rapidly. I cannot congratulate myself enough for having had the wisdom to insure our puppy with Healthy Paws! It made it possible for us to give this 4 1/2 month old pup a second chance at life.

This process began June 15, 2013 and continued for a full month. Cost of service shown in this review is monthly premium fee.

Dr. Boyanowski has worked with us to keep Morgan's allergies in check and to create a better life for Morgan, one where he isn't constantly scratching himself raw. She worked hard to try and find the right combination of medications that would safely alleviate his problems without leaving harmful side effects. She has been seeing Morgan for 9 1/2 years. She monitors his organ functions once a year to make sure there aren't any bad side effects from the medications. She explains everything she is doing and answers all your questions. She spends the necessary time with you and doesn't rush you through the appointment.

    The Pampered Pet
Mary Lou and her services through The Pampered Pet have been an important part of our lives since 2004. We used to drive our cat, Shadow, 2 hours away to my mom's house, which we called "Grandma Camp". I didn't trust anyone else with our "little girl". Then my mom moved to Vegas, and we had my husband's mother take care of her. She lived 20 minutes from us and didn't always feel up to coming over to take care of Shadow. I found this out, to my horror, and we decided we had to find someone who was dependable, reliable AND trustworthy...both in caring for our "fur baby" AND in coming into our home. Having huge trust issues, I knew this would be a challenge. But Mary Lou was the answer to our prayers. I truly believe she's part cat...although I'm sure some of her other clients with dogs, rabbits or birds would beg to differ with me and swear she's part dog, rabbit or bird. But she really is THAT GOOD!!! She has taken excellent care of ALL our cats...from Shadow who needed special care and medication until we had to put her to sleep when she was 18 (Mary Lou even cried with me when she got the news of Shadow's passing), to Huggy Bear, who as a kitten had every disease known to the feline community (MORE medication), to Tuggy (along with Huggy Bear) who were both on reducing diets, and our latest addition Yahtzee, who joined us after my mom passed away. Mary Lou has been a trooper, more than once, taking care of our cats in 2 different parts of the house, at one time because of disease, and another because they just weren't getting along yet. We always know when Mary Lou has been here...the place is neater than when we left and there are always a few new fun toys...from sparkley balls (Yahtzee's favorite) to handmade catnip filled pillows, which they ALL love. We always leave a note for Mary Lou and always look forward to the notes she has for us to find out what kind of mischief our rascals were in while we were away. She's great about coming twice a day - making sure the "kids" have food and water, cleans out all 3 litter boxes, plays with them and cleans up after them. She always picks up the mail, boxes at the door and anything else that if left out would raise "a flag" that we might be away. We look forward to Mary Lou's visits this summer, knowing everything will be taken care of and we can just relax. We LOVE Mary Lou, but most of all she's Huggy Bear "approved"...and Huggy Bear is VERY picky when it comes to people!!!

Our experience of Fran is that she can be a little gruff at times, but...she's worth it.  Most importantly, she's terrific with dogs.  She treats them with great patience and care, she grooms them beautifully, and she charges a very reasonable price.  Try to show up when you said you would show up.  Don't take it personally if she doesn't seem to smile very readily.  Listen to her advice, because it's probably good.  And just appreciate the great job she's doing with your dog(s)!

    Woodside Veterinary Clinic
I would defnitely recommend Dr  Clemmons.  She also checks my cats teeth and she's very big on  that.  She has a very strong health and wellness practice which  she provides full service which is needed for out cats. Her whole focus is wellness.

Erika is super responsive and always available. Not only does she love my kitty and take in the mail, but she also is happy to monitor my weird basement sump pump so my place doesn't flood. She always let's me know by email when she has arrived for the first day, so I don't have to worry that I messed up my dates or forgot to ask her to come.

I don't really remember the price. Our beloved cat was very ill. They took him in overnight and made him comfortable. The vet stayed up and tried to figure out what was wrong. It turned out to be a huge tumor in his chest. They didn't try to talk us into surgery (which would have meant more money, but lots of pain for the cat and not a good prognosis). We had them put him down -- they were very sympathetic, gave us whatever time and space we needed with him -- it was all about us and our relationship with him. They had him cremated as requested (without expensive burial etc). Then they sent us a very nice card noting they had made a donation in his name to UC Davis. We were very touched. We have used Belmont off and on over 15 years. Occasionally, we'll try another vet. But Belmont will always take us on short/no notice. They're always kind. The quality of the veterinarians have varied. They seem to have a really good team now. So, they're now our vets for all of our cats and dogs

    Nine Lives Foundation
Best cat vet experience I've ever had. Reaonably priced and very caring. Non-profit - so all the money goes to supporting the attached shelter. Note that they are moving around the block so check that you have the right address before you go
