Blinds And Curtain reviews in Elk Grove

    The Blind Guy
    The new blinds are beautiful.
I have got to make a statement here about a review that my husband put in when we purchased our first set of blinds from the Blind Guy.  We had some problems with the cords on our woven woods coming apart, but we didn't realize that they were supposed to do that for safety reasons.  Also, one of the windows was large and the woven wood needed a fourth cord for more support.  The problems we had had all to do with the manufacturer and nothing to do with The Blind Guy staff.  My husband blamed it on The Blind Guy, but that was not the case.  Mark is a great salesperson and any time I do windows in the future, I know I will call them again.  I have also told my friends about them.

    The Blind Guy
My husband and I were having early starts to our day due to the morning sun coming directly through our bedroom windows. We finally decided that we had had enough and decided to finally get new window coverings. So with research, we found that The Blind Guy had great reviews on Angie's list. We called to make an appointment for a free consultation and Mark came out to our home. Mark was very professional but also very personable. He completely understood what we were looking for in terms of functionality of the window coverings.  We originally were looking to get new blinds that could block out the sun or even shutters.  But the blinds weren't going to do what we needed them to do and shutters were out of our price range.  So he made a suggestion that worked WONDERFULLY! We went with window roller shades.  Mark had tons of choices for colors and textures to chose from. We went with non-traditional print on our shades and we love them. The custom measured shades were installed a week and a half later by Paul. He was awesome.  Paul came to our home right on time (early) and was very quick and thorough.  He installed them without any problems and was done within an hour (he did 5 windows).  He fully explained how they worked and wanted to make sure I was happy with the install before he left. We are definitely happy with the results and would use them again.

    Hall's Window Center
They were exquisitely professional from the sales people. I have dealt with them 4-5 times and they are consistent. I get what I pay for. They follow thorough. For example, there was a small problem which they worked on and resolved it to my satisfaction in every aspect of working with them. Mr. Tony and Mr. Scarr who is also the owner were making personal visits to check the quality of the work of the employees.

    The Blind Guy
After 10+ years in our home, my wife wanted to update the the window treatments.  We ended up with the Blind Guys courtesy of Angie's List.  We had them replace the shutters and blinds on most of our windows and doors.  They did a great job from the consult all the way through installation.  My wife if very pleased.  I would certainly recommend them.

    Budget Blinds
The owner came out and he had a whole series of books that I could look at and see which kind of blinds I wanted and he had brought the examples of the blinds, so I could see what they look like at least in miniature to look at the colors. He helped me pick vertical honey comb blinds for a fine class door and horizontal blinds. I was able to pick the colors I wanted for each room in the house, so we did hand windows. When his team came out and install them, we had a specific time-frame when they were suppose to be here and they called and I think they were here half hour earlier than the time window, so it was perfect. They walked in and installed the brackets in each window, one of them was doing that and the other one is coming along behind them and put the blinds up. I think it was done for about 45 minutes for all 10 windows, and they showed us how to operate them and how to protect them. It looks great. The picked up all the boxes and stuff and took those with them and didn't leave any garbage behind. They took care to make sure they didn't track any dirt in our carpet.

    Hall's Window Center
    1. Outstanding from beginning to end. The estimator (Patti) gave us very sound advice on the best R-value window covering for our second floor west facing windows, was knowledgeable, punctual, and had great follow up.  Install was perfect of a very nice product and the end result is that the room was three to four degrees cooler than normal even in this latest extreme heat wave (the week of the 105 temps and higher).  And the room is much cooler in lesser heat as well.   Hall's price beat the competition (another highly rated and often reviewed Angie's list contractor) by a good measure - so it is definitely worth getting multiple quotes and Hall's is really a winning company.  Everyone at this company from the estimator/salesperson to the installer were first class people to deal with - could not be more pleased!

    MLI Shutters & Blinds
We just bought a house which came with an older style shutter (Bytheways from 2007) which are plastic/vinyl and several of the tilt bars were either missing or the connections were broken. The guys came in and fixed all of them and replaced the tilt bars.
They also put new clips on a few of the veritical blinds that had broken off.
The crew was on time and everyone I spoke to was helpful and pleasant.
They even allowed me to call after the job was done and put the charges on my credit card!
    Excellent customer service.

    The Blind Guy
I have since replaced what I purchased from The Blind Guy.  I discovered after installation that I could not live with the Hunter-Douglas honeycomb shades - I didn't like that fact that they had to be either open or closed.  Something I should have considered before the purchase.  i would have appreciated a little help from the contractor as to what I was trying to achieve.  He just brought out a bunch of samples and pushed the most expensive items.  Never asking me any questions about light, privacy, etc.  A major purchase like this can be overwhelming with all the choices offered.

Mark, was very professional, personable and gave special attention to our sliding glass door. It has been a few years later and we are still happy with their work. The customer service is great and I would highly recommend them.

The estimator did a good job with some suggestions that were good. The installer was neat and clean but had to rework the vertical blinds in front of the sliding door. They were low and would not clear a rug when it was placed in front of the door. Make sure you have any rug in front of the door before installation. Also talk about the lead time when you place the order. In our case it was over three weeks however it did not cause a problem.
