  • They were excellent. They are very very good. I would highly recommend them. They were the low bid and it was pretty darn reasonable. It was excellent work. They did it all in half a day, about 6 hours. There were 2 workers.

  • Shortly after our master bathroom remodel we decided to revamp our kitchen.  Our kitchen had the standard suburbia look: oak cabinets, bar top counter, a small useless counter area, vinly flooring and the "coffin box" looking ceiling light to name a few things.
We took out everything!  We moved the kitchen layout slightly, so that the countertops would all be put to good use.  We bought new cabinets with soft close and different organizing options.  They even installed our BlueStar range and hood (this was purchased elsewhere), which had certain installation requirements.
We decided to update the flooring not only through the kitchen, but the breakfast nook, dining, pantry, and foyer areas.  They gave us all the different flooring options and were knowledgable in each product.  It was nice that we could look at them.  We decided to go with a Mannington laminate flooring that looks like wood.  Our friends and family think it's actual hardwood!
I can't tell you how many times we went through their showroom to look at their products and to talk to them about our ideas prior to coming up with a Master plan.  Yes, there were a hiccups as anyremodel has, but Floor to Ceiling quickly addressed them.  The Floor to Ceiling family are helpful and friendly.

  • I currently have older carpet and tile that I was in dire need of replacement. I originally went shopping at the local carpet stores thinking that would be the way to go, but quickly found the prices were a bit high for a quality carpet. I consider myself handy, but a carpet install isn't something I wanted to tackle, so there wasn't a way for me to skip the costly installation costs. I then began shopping for engineered hardwood, because prices were in line (especially since I can install them myself) and we actually prefer the look of wood over carpet.
After browsing the big box and flooring stores I called Simple Floors and spoke to Cece. I had lots of questions and she spent nearly a half an hour answering them for me(Knowledge and service was leaps and bounds above other stores) . After the phone call I made sure to show up in store when she was working to view the products up close. There were lots of options and once again Cece was patient and helpful while assisting us. With so many options we had a hard time making a choice, so we took home two samples to think about.
With the samples in hand we layed them against our cabinets, paint, and furniture in hopes one would stand out as the better choice. We chose the Aged Beluta (Lexington) and I then began to test the samples. When testing the samples I dropped keys, tools, and water to test the durability of the wood. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the samples held up quite nicely which led solidifying our choice to order the floors.
I ordered them on Tuesday of this week and they should be available for pick up on Thursday or Friday of this week. I will edit this review once the floors are installed.
FYI - They offer installation on the floors, but I'm confident enough in my DIY skills that I will do a great job installing (50 youtube videos later).

  • Dorel and his nephews Josh and Tim were fantastic. They arrived each day when they said they would. They started the job on time and finished when they said they would. The quality of the workmanship for the entire job was excellent. They cleaned up each day before leaving. Dorel is booked up almost 4 months ahead and we had to wait to get the job done. Believe me it is worth the wait. He is a perfectionist and leaves nothing to chance. The whole process was very pleasant and we enjoyed our conversations with Dorel and his nephews. Dorel also made some recommendations for places to purchase flooring and we saved a considerable amount of money without sacrificing quality.  I would recommend Dorel to anyone.

  • It was nice. I have a couple of issues with them. I can't find these contractors anymore. I have something repaired that they did. I would never use them again. The price was good. They didn't fix the problem that they created when they did our floors.

  • BTWF were always prompt and responsive and worked with the tenant to ensure the least amount of disruption to them. If/when I decide to have the other rooms refinished, I will hire Bare Tree Wood Floors.  I gave a B on the quality because I could not tell from the pictures how well it was done (although tenant says it looks great).  This floor is MANY years old and had been refinished several times before so it was somewhat of a challenge.

  • It went well. The only thing I was disappointed about is that they said they couldn't honor a senior discount that someone else had mentioned in their Angie's List review. That's okay because they did a good job.

  • Bello Hardwood Flooring created beautiful, smooth floors from old deeply scarred and pet-stained  (not ours) floors that looked beyond repair. The results are unbelievable with floors that went from an embarrassment to a showcase. Despite the difficulty of the task (rooms and closets with many corners and problem areas) the time to finish was exactly as bid.

  • My experience with Sand G is enough for me not to go back there. We
shopped around extensively when buying hardwood flooring for our house.
The first place we stopped was Sand G. At first we were pretty
impressed with them. Dino was the guy we talked to, he gave us a written
quote and a free sample of the wood we liked and said we were free to
shop around and come back and they'd match anything we found elsewhere
    and quot;apples for applesand quot;.
We did shop around and really refined our
tastes and went back to Sand G to consult with them as they're local
for us in Elk Grove and we had a good experience the first time around.
Went back in there with a sample we got from another vendor. Spoke to
Dino again and this time he was a totally different guy. Curt and
annoyed would be the words I would use to describe our interaction. None
the less we're pretty understanding people and we figured maybe it was
an off day, bad moment, what have you. We went ahead and got a quote
from Sand G where they came out and measured and we picked out some
material we liked and so forth. Their price was competitive and we gave
them serious consideration despite the fact that we'd had better/more
    professional interactions with other dealers.
    Fast forward about
three weeks. We found a better deal in town. We went into Sand G to
personally thank them and let them know we appreciated their time but we
had gone with another vendor. The girl at the counter was gracious and
polite and thanked us. About an hour later I get a call from Glen, a manager
at the store, who at first seemed to sincerely want to know why we went
elsewhere. I gave him a pretty general response along the lines of
and quot;thanks but we found another deal we are happier with...and quot; and so forth.
Glen then goes into all-out car salesman mode and starts darting
questions at me like and quot;where did you end up, what did you pay, what's the
material, what's the guarantee?and quot; - all of which, by the way, if I
choose to share the info- are legit questions. The part that was
unprofessional was his tone and his attitude. At this point I'm tired of
this conversation and I let him know that we found a better deal, I
didn't think his store put their best foot forward (he really reacted to
this so I briefly told him about Dino) and thanks for the quote. Before
I finished my sentence Glen, who had started out cordial, was now in
brush-off mode (seriously, looking back at this convo I'm laughing now)
and said something like and quot;well I called to salvage a deal and if that's
not going to be possible I'll let you go...and quot;.
    Yeah, goodbye Glen
and goodbye Sand G. Before I forget to mention it Glen tried bad
talking in very general terms and quot;other businesses around hereand quot; and and quot;other
vendorsand quot;. I don't know who he thought he was referring to but in my
opinion a business who has to bad talk others businesses is missing
something in their overall make-up (character, confidence, repeat
Either way, I'm not doing business there now or in the future.

  • Everyone that worked on the project was excellent.  They had specialists in each field.  I would highly recommend them.  They finished the job quickly.   Each crew didn't waste any time.  The guys that did the tile had to remove the toilets.  I took the opportunity to buy new toilets and they didn't bat an eye to install them.  Everyone was excellent.
