  • Excellent. This is the second time I have used Richard. He came through again. He sends me photos of my two cats, and almost daily reports, which I really appreciate since I have a high strung underweight kitty, and he especially monitored her food intake. This helped relieve my concern during my vacation. He had to feed and care for the two cats separately. He spent time with Fiona, who is friendlier of the two cats. I do not hesitate to recommend his services, and consider him to be reasonably priced given all the services he provides. He follows your directions impeccably.

  • Richard did an excellent job. This was the first time I used him, and I will do so again. He would send me periodic updates via email with pictures of my kitties. If I sent an email, he would respond promptly. This helped alleviate my anxiety about my cats, especially my senior citizen cat. He monitored her intake of food, and let me know that she was eating enough. She is a small, low weight cat, and I was concerned that my leaving would cause her weight loss, However, he made sure that she got the food she required.  When I got home, they were happy to see me, and seemed well taken care of. Fiona, my younger cat,  especially liked Richard. He spent some time with her, which made her very happy. He sent me pictures of her showing her tummy, and of her being very content.

He was very thorough & professional about setting up the service. He's bonded and insured, and gave me a lot of helpful tips about how to leave my house so it looked like someone was home. He recommended a good timer for the lights. He is  very informative, trustworthy and helpful in addition to being a caring pet lover.

I will not hesitate to use him again, and strongly recommend him to others.

  • I have no problems with any of the vets. Dr. Prutton, Dr. Virk, or Dr. Judd are all caring, competent vets. My issue is with the unprofessional, disorganized office staff. I called to schedule a follow up appointment to have my pet's sutures removed. Thirty seconds into the call, Stephanie put me on hold to answer another call. I waited for three minutes until Cora picked up the line. I had to explain once again what I was calling for. I then waited an additional two minutes while she checked the schedule, only to have her hang up on me. I called back, and with some annoyance explained what had just happened. Cora "promised me" -- her words -- that she had not hung up on me. After some deliberation I explained again what I wanted. Dr. Judd, the vet who performed the surgery, was going to be gone for several weeks. I had no issue with someone else removing the sutures, but this simple substitution seemed to cause a minor panic. In the end, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Virk. Suffice to say that while I like the vets at Abbey, the office staff really needs remedial training by the office manager. You DON'T leave the first caller waiting while you answer a later caller (unless it is a life threatening emergency), you DON'T hang up on a customer, and you ABSOLUTELY DON'T argue defensively that you didn't do so. To tell me otherwise is tantamount to calling me a liar.

  • Anytime you need lab tests done the price is high. They work well with my animals. They seem to know the breeds which is very important. I am always able to get in on the day I call. The prices for medicines are good and can compete with the online services for that. You have a 5 minute or less wait when you go in.

  • The doctor was excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Carolyn Harvey if you have a rabbit. The problem was with the staff during check in and check out. When I made the appointment, they told me to be there at 8:45 a.m. My rabbit was a "new patient" so he was supposed to get an exam ($50 extra for a new patient) before the surgery. I had not been to this location before, so I left early and got there at 8:30. When I got there, they had me down for the surgery, but not the exam that I was paying for. I also faxed them the rabbit's previous medical records and they could not immediately find them. Since they did not make an appointment for the pre-op exam, I had to sit around and wait until she could fit me in since the doctor was booked up. They also do not start seeing anyone until 9:00 so I don't know why they had me come at 8:45. Bottom line is I was there an hour before anything happened. When I finally got to see the doctor, she was great. I left the rabbit and made an appointment to pick him up at 10:00 a.m. the next day. They did the surgery and Dr. Harvey called later to say all went well. I arrived at 10:00 the next morning. The bill was somewhat more than I was quoted, but not a big deal. I had another quote from a different vet for a rabbit neuter and it was even more. The staff gave me instructions on what to do the next few days and had me wait in an exam room. I was just picking him up and not expecting to see the doctor. I waited over 45 minutes while the staff was laughing, talking and otherwise screwing around in the reception area. I finally asked one of the vets walking by to find out where my rabbit was. A while later someone had my rabbit in the carrier out in the lobby asking for the owner while I was sitting in an exam room. I saw all of this since the door to the exam room was open. I don't know why they had an appointment for a pick up if it still was going to take an hour. I would only go back because Dr. Harvey was so great and is a renowned rabbit vet in the Bay Area. My rabbit recovered very quickly and there were no problems whatsoever. I was not impressed with the reception staff and it was two days in a row.

  • The office is great - cute, the front desk help is wonderful. The vet is friendly, and knowledgeable, they obviously love cats. Prices are relatively high, but you get great service. She gave me a bit of a hard time about foregoing some (in my opinion) not necessary vaccinations. All in all a great cat-loving vet practice!

  • We were impressed with her credentials. As a member of the Chamber of Commerce, we knew she was serious about her company and customer satisfaction. Along with her experience, Donna should be considered as your pet sitter.
