    Mr. Handyman Serving South Bay
Amazing, I think I found the last honest handyman in California. I contacted Angie's list and received a prompt reply to call them for rates, etc. Talked with Jack who said that it sounds like I need a plumber. Amazing, I'm used to people coming in and spending time, charging me and then telling I need someone else. Jack I've already told everyone about you in the office, thank you for being honest.

    Alan McKinney Construction
Alan explains fully what he is doing, and he works carefully and steadily. Does not take a break. Everything was beautifully done. And he cleaned up! As an added bonus, Alan walked me through how to turn off the gas, water and flip the switches, etc. (This is a new place for me.) I can't recommend Alan highly enough. His work is impeccable. He is honest and cheerful. You can trust him. Should the need arise, I would definitely call him again.

    The Manly Man Handyman
My dog put his very large head through the back picket fence of the property I rent. Jason of The Manly Man Handyman replied to my email on a Sunday night and arrived at my house the next morning. He looked over the damage and discussed what would be needed and gave me a VERY reasonable estimate.
Jason arrived the next morning and got right to work. His estimate was spot on and he not only repaired the fence but he reinforced it against my dog's giant, very hard head, which I really appreciate. The stronger the fence, the healthier the relationship with one's neighbors.
I'm really happy with his work and Jason's friendly nature. I would definitely use him again anytime I need a handyman.

We experienced a 20% price creep and reduction in scope of work.  I was assured that it would cost no more to replace the closet doors than to fix the old ones, but he had no recall of this conversation at billing time.  He not only charged for the doors, but also for installation labor when he didn't have to do the repairs that were already included in the quote.  Who knew that "painting" did not include the shutters?  Work quality was pretty good, but will not hire again.

    Hang It Right
I have NEVER written a review before..But I couldn't let a minute go by without writing this one. I bought an expensive mirror and was VERY nervous to hang it with my husband and not have the proper hooks and the weight of the mirror was too much for us to handle.I just joined Angies List to hopefully find a quality person to hang this mirror. Low and behold after searching the list of handy men and reading the reviews I found someone who sounded amazing. I called HANG IT RIGHT..Ron Goodman, and within a short period of time he called back..Amazing as that seems!!! He came out the next day and hung the mirror. Another AMAZING!!! Also gave me some tips he thought about decorating the area..and also tightened up some screws on another piece.I look forward to doing business with HANG IT RIGHT again. In this day and age to find someone like Ron, so professional, on time, clean and knowledgeable is truly AMAZING!!!!

Mr. Handyman serving West Los Angeles
David was professional, knowledgable in light of our needs and after a brief talk was clear on what we wanted and needed.  He was prompt in getting the job done and letting us know afterward.  We did not have to meet him there and tell him what to do.  It was a HUGE help and a great job.  Thank You!!  The price was very reasonable too..

    Handy Hands Inc
Emailed Miles with picture of the faucet that needed changing and got a quote.  Miles came by on the day and time as he said he would, but was unable to do the job that day since he didn't have the right tools for that particular faucet.  After a few phone calls, we rescheduled for another day and the job was done quickly.
Overall, I am satisfied with the work and would consider this company for future jobs.

    Hanlon Construction, Inc.
Mark was a big help. I own the house but currently live on the east coast and rent it out. Mark worked well both with me and our tenants. He kept us informed, worked with tenants to be sure he wasn't intruding more than necessary. The leak was due to a poor remodeling sometime in the house's past. He replaced the leaking portions of the pipe, removed a lot of wet soil from a very tight part of the crawl space, dried the living space on the other side of the wall from where the leak was, sealed the wall, and repaired the carpet. He was prompt and easy to understand. I appreciate his help.

    Delta Home Remodeling
On the first day,not on schedule, not on time-4 P.M.-,with a trainee/helper they swept and primed the deck with a thick dark grey roll on surfacing using MY FAN to dry it and left.Day2: strips of sticky backed materiel 1/8 in in thickness 24inches long with irregular edges were cut and stuck down to simulate the grouting between flagstones and a sandstone colored layer of cement product were troweled on the deck,Mr. Houseman only worker. No one came the third day-it rained. I saw pools on the deck, shallower but still in the same places. The fourth day the strips were peeled off the edges neatened in places, the color touched up in places and the deck sealed.I asked Mr. Houseman about the still existing pools, he said in effect "TOO BAD",there was nothing he could do because of the thickness of the product,Blah,Blah,Blah. Then Delta wants $7,900.00.I told them NO.They came to the house and instead of renegotiating contract they tried to strong arm me into paying "what was due them,$7,900.00".Put a workman's lean on my home take me to court...I had kept them out of my home, on the Resurfaced deck. My neighbors heard the loud "consultation" and called the El Segungo Police who escorted Delta Contractors formerly known as Gold Remodeling off my property and out of town.I later settled with Mr Dirk Houseman for the 200 sq.ft deck resurfacing for $2,800.00. Mr. Houseman confided in me that they regularly rip older people off, he knows about it but goes where he can earn his bread. Delta Construction's website is fraudulent as well portraying jobs that they had nothing to do with but are stock photos, as their own work. These guys promise the moon and deliver rocks. No leaks yet, but then---IT HASN'T BEEN RAINING!

    ALMIR LOPES
Initially, Paula was excellent at returning our calls and setting up an appointment. We were looking forward to meeting them.
Almir arrived and we showed him the work: we needed a small patch of drywall repaired in our ceiling and then fresh paint on the entire ceiling; and tile laid on 64 sf space; a larger project was framing out a pony wall to the ceiling and dry-walled. This last item I asked if it was too large, since he said he only did small jobs and he said it was ok.
However, he was vague and didn't seem to understand what we needed done. He never got back to us with a bid, or, at the very least, to tell us he could not do the work.
