    MASAMI BUILDERS Corp
It was an excellent experience. There is a lot of communication between management and my myself. Anything that I was not happy with or did not like the way it looked, they always corrected it. It is not difficult to get a hold of them if you need something done. The work is beautiful and the work is clean. The workers are very quiet. Everyone was very nice and receptive. Their work is excellent.

    Thomas Parks Contracting
Thomas arrived on time (and just before a strong storm the next day). He got everything done and we have not experienced any leaks in our den-which was a nice change. The gutters also functioned well .. He kept me informed with progress throughout and explained what was needed to get us prepared for the rain that was expected. We have had 3 rainy days so far this season and it is nice not to have to put towels on the den floor . He is a reliable service provider and a friendly and helpful person that I would refer to family and friends.

    KN Remodeling & Supplies Inc
KN REMODELING they did two projects for us. The first project was a complete bathroom remodel and everything was excellent, the crew was excellent. The customer service was great and all work was done on time. The second project that they did was our roof. The work that they did was professional. Everything was with inspection and they cleaned all around the house and all areas
that was worked on. Very impressed with the quality of work I received from KN Remodeling.

    Halo Roofing
After the work was done, it rained they came and took care of a small leak. The technician came and fixed it. I let the technician know that a dumpster they used damaged my driveway. They have never fixed this. They suggested it could have been done by an earthquake. Plywood should have been applied for the dumpster to prevent damage. The driveway is now breaking where two pieces meet. They offered to fix it, but I wanted an expert to investigate the concrete issueI have been waiting almost 3 weeks while they assess it.

Update (Email I sent to the company on 10/27/2014):

    Hello everyone,

Good morning.  Up until last night, I was not aware Angie's List had posted my experience on their website.  I did read the company response and noticed many inaccuracies on your behalf.  First of all Halo Roofing did not immediately respond to have the water leak.  I called on Saturday afternoon to report the leak and Juan your employee arrived the following Saturday morning to perform the repairs.  What difference does it make if it took six months to notify Halo Roofing of the damaged driveway.  It is not my responsibility to inspect your work.  In your response on Angie's List, "However, our company policy is to always use plywood underneath any roll off dumpster and underneath out own trucks, to collect the roofing debris," no plywood sheets were ever used.  In fact, I never knew plywood sheets are placed underneath a dumpster until your employee Juan mentioned when the repairs were done to the roof.  AS I HAVE STATED IN THE PAST MULTIPLE TIMES, YOUR EMPLOYEE JUAN ADMITTED THE DAMAGE WAS CAUSED BY THE DUMPSTER!!!  JUAN STATED PLYWOOD SHEETS NEEDED TO HAVE BEEN PLACED UNDERNEATH.  HOW MANY TIMES DO I NEED TO MENTION THIS!!!

Halo Roofing did not  immediately contact me when I first communicated the damaged driveway.  I spoke to Carinne and waited two weeks to call and follow up.  I could not take time off work from work to meet with any Halo Roofing representative.  I have insisted in communicating via email because I can't take time off work to call the company.  WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT!!!

The driveway has cracks, but the concrete does not fall out.  Either your guys or different resource moved the dumpster further into the driveway.  How I know it was moved, the first night after the dumpster was delivered, I needed to park my car on the lawn to be able to close the driveway door.  Once the roof tear off begun, I no longer needed to park my car on the lawn to  close the driveway door.  Enough room was made were my car could be parked on the driveway and close the close the door behind it.  I did contact the City of El Monte this morning and asked if it would have been possible to park the dumpster on a public street.  I was told yes with a permit from public works.  If Halo Roofing would have coordinated this permit, all of this driveway issue would have been avoided.  Halo Roofing failed to coordinate a proper place to park this dumpster.  Most likely the dumpster should have not been parked on the driveway due to the weight of it.

Refusal of release of liability was done because Halo Roofing was to perform the repairs on the driveway.  Your company specializes in roofs.  What if release of liability was done and with time, the driveway breaks as a result of the dumpster improperly placed on driveway that now compromised concrete structure.

I mentioned going to the media, a lawsuit, contacting Better Business Bureau and posting honest reviews since Halo Roofing has delayed resolving the damaged driveway.  It is not against the law to report honestly.  It takes many days to get a response from your company.  In fact, it has been over TWO months since I last received any communication from Halo Roofing.  It has been THREE months and still no concrete assessment has been completed.  WHY WAS THAT NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR COMPANY RESPONSE ON Angie's List?  Halo Roofing has been given access to the property without my presence since the beginning of this matter ... Avi came, then Avi and Herb... then Ron and the concrete specialist, "We finally received [member name removed] approval to independently view the driveway without his presence."

Also include in your company response, Ron Halo's Roofing owner verbally agreed to install three vents on the garage at no charge when the first estimate took place.  When I received the final estimate, the vents were not included.  I called Halo Roofing and was told to write in the free vents myself.  Once the roof was installed, the vents weren't, I called  the company and mentioned it.  I have also believe the flashing around the chimney was probably not replaced by a new one as told.  I noticed all the flashing was removed, but not around the chimney.  It has the appearance of being painted to look as if it were new.

It is not my responsibility to check the work Halo Roofing was hired to do.  Everything should have been inspected once the work was completed by Halo Roofing Company not me.  Just imagine, all this could have been avoided if your project manager did his job.  The dumpster was delivered a day before Avi stated.  If the dumpster would have been delivered on the scheduled date, Juan would have placed the plywood sheets on the driveway as he stated he does when a dumpster is delivered.  And if Avi would have asked the City of El Monte about parking the dumpster on public street, this issue would not exist.

I sincerely hope this issue is resolved soon.  Again, I have been very generous with my patience, but this matter is taking way too long to solve.  All I ask if for the damaged area of the driveway to be properly repaired.  I have contacted Google Earth for satellite images of before and after the dumpster was delivered and picked up.  I will ask Angie's List to place this email on their website.

By the way I reached out to GAF this morning to get assistance in resolving this issue.

    KERTLAND ROOFING INC
We came across Suzanne through advertising on a company truck and are very glad we did. She was excellent to deal with. She did the scheduling and emailing of the written quote, as well as the paid invoice once the job was completed. Ron did a thorough evaluation of the roof's problems and made suggestions when I asked about the benefits of vents on the roof or an attic fan. He was willing to match the length of warranty another roofer had offered and when I requested this be added to his estimate, Suzanne took care of it promptly. I did receive three bids for this job, the highest priced (not chosen) appeared to propose substantial extra work and materials. The lowest (also not chosen) seemed to propose doing less. The Kertland bid was in the middle and my interaction with Ron convinced me to accept his bid. I chose Kertland because I sensed they operated with integrity, had a good understanding of the job and were offering a reasonable plan for repairs, and was convinced that I would have no problem working with Ron, Suzanne or the roofing crew. This certainly turned out to be correct. I was able to get a date for the work within a few days of accepting the bid. Rob and a small crew showed up promptly While I am no expert in roofing, they appear to have done all that was promised. They certainly were professional, efficient and courteous. The job certainly was of no bother to us or our neighbors and they hauled whatever debris and material remnants there were away without being asked. I highly recommend this family company. I checked the BBB and State Contractors License Board websites before accepting the bid. They were and continue to be "A" rated with BBB. The SCLB site shows they were and continue to be licensed with Workers Compensation insurance. I highly recommend this family company without reservations.

    GOLDEN KEY ROOFING
It didn't go too good............. An extremely rude lady answered the phone and did not give me a chance to explain what I needed. It seemed like she was in an extreme hurry to answer another call. There seemed to be an obvious English communication problem. I am a real estate professional and am always seeking professional vendors to help me with my clients. I would never refer this company to anyone.

    D & G ROOFING CO
The person who came to give me an estimate was very friendly. However, he didn't follow-through with his written estimate. He came on the Thursday and said he would e-mail me the written estiamate the following Monday. I waited and had to call to remind him on Tuesday. He said he was busy with a job and would e-mail it to that night or the next day. I wait for another 5 days, nothing happened! It has been 12 days since his visit, and I still have not gotten his written estimate.
I person sent me the written estimate the night my first review was submitted. Unbelieveable, the written estimate was twice as high as the verbal estimate. The verbal estimate was about $890. The written one he sent me was $1,700. plus. I guess, the person was mad at me reporting him. For this reason, I would rate this company a D and would never consider to do any business with this company. Note: no service was performed. I entered a work date just because the system would not allow me to save without a work date.

    B & G Roofing
He did a great job with it and it looks great. He worked with me and helped with scheduling the air conditioner guy because we were taking the air conditioning off the roof. He worked hard and got the job done just as he said he would. He had the best price.

I live 400 miles from this location so Arturo and I worked out a tentative schedule which we changed to meet both our schedules.  He is very accommodating and spent time communicating by cell so I knew what was happening and when it happened.
