    Davis Artisan Builders
Lauren Vaage has been our "go-to" contractor for more than 10 years. He handles both large and small projects with dare and keeps his clients in-the-loop throughout the process of design and construction. He and the sub-contractors he employs (electrical, flooring, paint, plumbing, sheet rock, tile, etc.) are all craftsmen in their own right and their work is top quality. Also important is the fact that the projects are finished on time. Lauren has worked on our fencing and gates, built outside storage structures and fully remodeled our two beautiful bathrooms. We whole-heartedly recommend Vaage Design Build/Davis Artisan Builders for your residential and commercial endeavors. Joy Fergoda Kathy DeYoung

Brent, the owner came to view the project. He suggested an improvement in the existing plumbing layout. His bid was competitive with others and we like to support local business people. One of Brent's employees, Preston, did the work. We were given wise advice by Preston, about not reusing the existing valves. We had to find replacements to fit the handles, which caused a short delay. I think the project turned out to be more complicated than first appeared. Preston got it all figured out and we were very happy with the job.

I cannot praise enough the work that Mat's team did. Sergio with Mat's son as an assistant, did all the installations. The backsplash was copper 2x2 tile with glass accents. It's beautiful. My husband was particularly impressed by how well Sergio lined up the grout lines. The tile removal and replacement was just perfect. On removal, no adjacent tiles were cracked or damaged. There is no clue that tiles were removed and replaced. Sergio made a nice pattern on the drip area. We also asked Sergio to cut a group of tiles that my husband needed for a project of his. Sergio was kind enough to not only cut the tiles but improved the tile layout before he cut it. We added a few items to the bid so Mat needs to revise his estimate. We got several bids prior to selecting Mat so we know his cost is very competitive.

    Yancey Company
I did not go with the provider.  They told me that to get frameless shower doors in my master bathroom, it'd be $4,000 installed. They even identified who they'd be getting it from.  I called the vendor and the vendor said they'd do it for $1,500 after I gave the the measurements.  Yancey is marking up their glass by $2,500.  Which is an insane money grab. Of course, they need to make a profit.  But that kind of markup is just gouging someone.  Go with an independent guy that doesn't need to mark up third party work.   They will force you to go to their cabinet maker, and hardware distributors.  Begs the question whether there's a kickback.
The high grades are for their designer who was professional, punctual, and always responsive.

First, they would not provide me with an itemized bid. Steve King said that Kitchen Mart would not allow him to do itemized bids.  Which means they're refusing to tell you what each component costs. Why wouldn't a company be willing to do that?  Second, their bid was 33% higher than my original bid they were doing a comparison off of!  Crazy.  Look elsewhere. Shady way of doing business not tell you individual cost items.

Dan is easy to work with and takes his time to explain his bid, why he's doing the job the way he's doing it, etc. He is very professional, conscientious, and fair. On the several occasions we've used him, he has noticed other little problems in our home and he's taken care of them free of charge. He has also given us free advice on how to take care of other house-related problems. For example, we have a leak in one of our outside pipes, and he took the time to explain to my husband how the problem should be repaired, so that we can save money doing it ourselves. His team is also very skilled, conscientious, and professional.  I give Dan Tolson my highest recommendation!

The only B grade I gave Dan is because he sometimes isn't immediately responsive. He's quite busy and will always respond; it just may take a little while sometimes.

I had a bunch of projects around the house from bathroom remodeling to electrical.  Dan and his crew do a great job.  They took care of minor details, were on time and are very professional.  I will use them for future projects.

    Home Remodeler Inc.
Shaun and team overall did a solid job. We are very happy with his work. Home Solutions Construction started the job on January 5th and it completed March 23rd. We also replaced carpet on the stairs and whole upstairs floor where the bedrooms were as well as redid the flooring in the Master bath. Shaun was not responsible for these work items but was very flexible in working around these activities with the other contractors and building a timeline around it. Shaun provided a very thorough plan to include timelines and costs for Demo work, rough-ins, drywall/pain, vanity/countertop, and tiling. His crew was prompt and courteous and very flexible when we had  a few change orders. We did have a minor leak issue after installing the tub in the master bath. We called Shaun around 9:00pm one night and he drove out immediately to see the issue. Next day his crew came back out and fixed the issue and gave us a credit and replaced a few kitchen lights for our troubles without us asking. This showed his professionalism and commitment to high quality work. I would recommend Home Solution Construction for anyone wanting a trusting contractor that stands behind quality workmanship. I am preparing for another bath remodel for my rental property and will most likely use Shaun and team again.

    Solid General Construction
After several calls back and forth, we were able to agree on a week in April 2015.  There were two on the crew.  They were able to arrive on time and complete the work on the agreed timetable.  I was pleased with the level of communication and updates during the project week - this level of communication was great, as we had to stay out of the way and away one overnight to facilitate the work getting done.  The finished product looks great.  We are very pleased with the level of work done.  We would use this company again.

    Simply Cabinet Solutions
I had sent requests to three different Angie's List woodwork providers. Ray got back to me right away and, based on a measured drawing I provided, he was able to provide a quote range. He came out and measured my area and had my drawing to use for creating detailed drawings. Ray offered valuable input to that resulted in a beautiful design. Once all the pieces had been finished Ray came and put it all together. It was amazing to see the pieces go together to make an amazing unit. I have lots of lower storage, even more display area above and an area for the TV in the middle. The unit is much larger than you imagine on paper, but it definitely finished the room. Ray kept with the cabinet design in my newly remodeled kitchen, so now the kitchen and family room area feel like it was all built together. I couldn't be happier with the work Ray did and the final build.
