    Had them out to do a whole house clean. They did an excellent job and were knowledgeable about special surfaces as I have some stone, leathered granite, stainless steel, etc. that require special products to be used to protect the surfaces. They did an initial walkthrough and asked questions to make sure they knew exactly what I wanted done. They got everything that I wanted done and the house looked excellent!

    They did a very good job, I will have them back. I was very pleased. They kept busy all the time and they worked well together, which was nice to see. The price was reasonable. They usually always show up on time, they got held up on a previous job the last time they came out, so they were a little late. But they still came and did a great job. They stayed late to make up for the time.

    Sacramento Green Clean
    We just moved from the Bay Area and were very sad to leave our prior housekeeper of many years behind. The housekeeper was prompt, communicative and very reasonably priced. She comes with her own environmentally friendly cleaning products, but was happy to use the granite cleaner I had from the installer. I look forward to hopefully a long & happy relationship with this company.

    Perfectly Clear
    This is difficult. The folks at perfectly clear are kind folks. Their pricing is more than fair and they truly seem to want to make the customer happy. I have hired this company three times. YEAR 2014 *Window cleaning [GRADE A+] *House Cleaning [GRADE C] **[I worked with the house cleaners to help them do the work correctly] *Gutter Cleaning [1st try] [GRADE F] *Gutter Cleaning [redo 2nd try] after I contacted owner [GRADE A] I am saddened to have to write this. These people are very nice. They seem to want to do a good job and try. And I have given the folks 4 chances. The first time I hired The company, while the windows were done superb, they failed to do the detail: clean the window jams and lock down my solar shades. These shades are located at the second story. I can not reach the shades. I had to call them out to fix the shades but they still could not fix what they broke. Instead, I had to hire the company that installed the shades to come back out and re-install them. This cost me a few hundred dollars. I didn't bill Perfectly Clear for the expense. I just let it go. Good karma, right? I also hired them to clean my house. The ladies were so sweet. So nice. And they worked very hard. But there were issues too. I had to do some training and some items in my kitchen got broken. They were honest with me and showed me. I also let that go and did not bill perfectly clear. The items were expensive but I certainly did not want to hurt these ladies financially. The Gutter cleaning was not good at all. I got up on a ladder and just about all the gutters were still dirty. But when I contacted Perfectly clear to come redo the work, they did clean them. The effort took two times! YEAR 2016 Yesterday, Perfectly clear came to my home on Friday July 15th. *Window cleaning GRADE: A+ *Following Customer Instructions GRADE F I spoke with the owner on Thursday July 15th and gave him specific instructions TO NOT touch the solar screens because I had to have them all fixed the last time they were there. I emphasized over and over to please do not touch the screens because they were professionally installed and locked in to endure the winds off Folsom Lake. He assured me that they would not. I also gave him instruction to clean the inside mirrors/glass as well as clean the window casement jams and apply silicon to the rubber. I have an employee that works for me and I also explained to that employee. Do not let them touch the solar screens. If they move them, they will blow off. My employee explained to young guys not to do this. They replied, 'oh, we have done this house before, we know what to do. The owner means the solar shades the at move'. My employee did not argue with them and was confused by they refusing to listen to her instruction. Oh yeah, they had to also be reminded to clean the mirrors and glass in the house too. They went ahead and removed each solar screen and they are now blowing off my house and I now have to hire the same company to reinstall each and every screen again. I feel just sick about having to write this note...I'm upset because I feel like I am saying someting negative about a friend. That's just how nice these folks are. Sigh...and I know that they have asked me when we had problems in the past not to write a negative review...and they offered me discounts. I refused the discounts because I don't want to hurt their discounts or freebies doesn't fix the core issue...not following directions. T My constructive recommendation is for them to please...please...please listen to the customer. Especially when it comes to wanting to avoid issues for both parties. This problem was 100% avoidable if they just listened. "do not remove the solar screens". It's unfortunately because I gave them these directions less than 24 hours before they came out. Again, these are really likeable people. I do not discourage you from hiring them but I do urge you to continuously follow up with them...give them reminders, check the work and then follow up again. They will eventually get it right...and when they do do the work correctly, it's great!

    Sacramento Green Clean
    The owner of Sacramento Green Clean called me 2 days prior to the arrival of her cleaners. She asked me what the cleaning job entailed. I told her what needed to be cleaned: Master Bathroom Travertine stone Shower, Ceiling Fans, and Baseboards. She asked me if I would be providing any of my own cleaning supplies. I told her that I would be providing specialized travertine tile cleaner and a PLASTIC brush to use on the shower. These were the ONLY supplies that I would be providing her workers to use that day. The rest of the cleaning supplies would be provided by Sacramento Green Clean. The owner of the company asked if I had a step ladder that her workers could use in order to clean my ceiling fans. I said, "Yes...a metal step ladder with 3 steps". The owner approved the ladder over the phone. The owner also told me that at least one of her workers/cleaners had an "excellent command of the English language". When the cleaners arrived for their 2-hour cleaning job I met them at my front gate. I provided one cleaner (she spoke excellent English) with the travertine tile cleaner and plastic brush to use on my shower. The other cleaner spent her time walking around my master bedroom with her vacuum cleaner strapped to her back vacuuming my shelves ! (She was never asked to clean any shelves in my house) !! After 1-1/2 hrs. I realized the 2 workers had not begun to clean my baseboards or any of my ceiling fans. Since there was only 1/2 hr. left to clean my house I entered my master bedroom and bathroom to let the workers know that time was running out. Much to my horror the worker who could speak English was on her hands and knees in my travertine shower scrubbing it with a wire brush and my Ajax. Apparently she had taken the Ajax off my kitchen counter when I was in another part of my home. I don't own a wire brush so the brush was hers. Immediately I asked her to stop using the Ajax and wire brush on my shower and shower glass and to please continue on to clean my ceiling fans and baseboards as there was only 1/2 hr. of cleaning time left. I had barely left my bathroom when I heard a loud crash. I ran into the bathroom and the cleaner was standing next to my step ladder taking I-Phone photos of the damage she had just done. Instead of cleaning my ceiling fans and baseboards the cleaner decided to use the step ladder to step onto the bull-nosed edge of my travertine counter to clean my bathroom mirrors. (She was NEVER asked to clean my mirrors). The edge of my travertine counter broke off and the falling travertine nicked, scratched and dented the cherry wood cabinetry as it was falling to the floor. My tile flooring also received damage. It took the worker over 30 minutes to reach the owner by phone. During this 30 min. time frame the worker was not complaining of any injuries to me, but she kept repeating "I am so scared. I am going to get in trouble from the owner." She was clearly terrified about the consequences of the damage done. When the owner spoke to me she was so rude and nasty. She said, " are lucky to have reached me on a Saturday...I don't respond to calls on the weekend." (Yet she sends her employees out to do a job on a Saturday). The owner asked if her worker was injured and I said, "No". All of a sudden (as if on cue) the worker moaned and complained of pain in her shoulder! The owner said she would send over another crew of workers to clean up the mess and finish the job. She never sent them. It took me 4 hours to clean up the mess from all the broken travertine tile. After cleaning up the mess I inspected my shower and noticed that the wire brush and Ajax that the worker had used on my shower had made hundreds of scratches from top to bottom all over the glass of my shower. I immediately called the owner to report this and her rude comment was, "Well...your story just keeps getting better and better doesn't it." The next day the owner arrived to my home to inspect the damage. Again her comments to me were very rude and nasty. She was complaining to me about having to pay her worker possible worker's compensation. The owner never apologized for the damage to my bathroom, and she acted like the whole situation was a HUGE INCONVENIENCE to her. I told the owner that my travertine counter, scratched glass and damaged cabinetry needed to be repaired, but that I would live with the damaged tile on my bathroom floor. . I also told her that I would provide her with bids/proposals from various contractors. Approximately 10 days later I received a letter from Sacramento Green Clean full of untruths about the events that occurred in an effort to avoid ownership of the damages cause by her employees. The letter stated the following: 1. I met the cleaners at their car and instructed them to leave their cleaning supplies in their car. 2. I instructed the cleaners to use my Ajax on the travertine shower and glass surfaces. 3. I provided the cleaners with the wire brush (I don't even own a wire brush). 4. I instructed the cleaner to stand on my counter to clean my mirror. (Again...the mirror was not one of the things that was to be cleaned that day). The letter also stated that English was not the worker's native language. ( of the workers had a perfect command of the English language as was told to me by the owner prior to the workers arrival) ! Sacramento Green Clean's letter concluded that they are NOT responsible for the damages done, but in the interest of "compromise" they will pay only $500 towards the repair of the tile counter ONLY !! This was unacceptable to me. In terms of making and reaching an amicable and fair settlement to repair the damages I have sent two letters (certified mail) along with 11 photos of the damage incurred to the owner of Sacramento Green Clean. I have also sent 3 contractor's proposals stating the cost to repair the damage to my bathroom. All my letters and phone calls have been ignored. I've never heard from Sacramento Green Clean (California Green Clean) again. After my experience with this company my research showed that Sacramento Green Clean (California Green Clean) was inappropriately using the following Logos on its website: 1. ARCSI (American Residential Services International) logo, 2. "Green America Approved Business" logo 3. "Green Seal, Inc." logo. ARSCI informed me that the owner had been asked repeatedly to remove the logo from her website. "Green America Approved Business" informed me that the company had not kept up to date on their dues and should not have been using their logo, and "Green Seal, Inc." informed me that the company "no longer earned certification for Green Seal Approval" because they did NOT stay in compliance with a Green Seal standard for Green Cleaning. I would NEVER use this company, Sacramento Green Clean, (formerly doing business as California Green Clean), again !! My bathroom is still damaged. The destruction still remains.

    Johnny Sparkles Cleaning Service
    We utilized Johnny Sparkes for a year plus. We tried to coach the cleaning staff about how/what we needed cleaned, but it would be done once, then never again. The service was more about how quickly the team could get the check and get out of the house, then the quality of work. The cleaning staff was fantastic but I believe they are pushed to clean the house as quickly as possible so they can move onto the next house. It is as if they clean in fear? When I called to cancel, Johnny called back and asked what went wrong. When I described our complaints, his response was that we weren't paying enough for the size of our house. Johnny priced the house. I then asked, if we were to pay more $$$ would the house get a better and more focused cleaning, his response was "yes if you pay more we would do a better job"!!!! Avoid at all cost!

    Priority Carpet & Tile Cleaning
    Just great carpet cleaning service - to sum it up. Have been using them since 2012. They came out quickly this time for an emergency. They always price fairly when making the appointment and confirming it onsite after inspecting the work area.
    They are punctual and announce when they will arrive the day of service.
    There is no bait and switch with this company. Appreciate it.

    Merry Maids of Cameron Park
    I am very satisfied with Merry Maids - not only do they perform efficiently, but the Cameron Park franchise is run superbly.  They provide their EMPLOYEES (not independent contractors!!!) with decent equipment and cleaning supplies, keep me informed about arrival times, and are responsive to my questions.  Yes, the price is higher than I'd be paying for an independent housecleaner (ergo the "B" rating), but I'm paying for peace of mind, professional business practices, and reliability.  The cleaning performance is as good as I'd do myself, but takes substantially less time, freeing me to work in my home office and then play on Saturdays.  I could not be more pleased with their service.  Each time they come they leave a response card, and often a list of what was accomplished.  When they arrive, they ask me whether there's any particular area that needs extra care.  They offer additional services, which I've yet to take advantage of - but when I need the windows washed, I  know I can schedule with them. 
    They use non-toxic cleaning supplies, both a floor and a stick vacuum, dusting wands for high areas, and are happy to use my preferred materials when I've asked (I have particularly good soap-scum remover that's been working well to clean and protect shower doors). 
    The best part is that I live in a slightly remote, rural area, and they're willing to drive out to it. 
    I'm rather surprised that I did not find Merry Maids on Angie's List - they advertise in our church bulletin, so I thought I'd take a chance on their services.  After six months of regular service, I remain extremely pleased with the service.

    Off and on time to the appointment. They did a very thorough and detailed job of cleaning the house. One thing that was very helpful was that Becky periodically checked in with me to make sure that all the areas I wanted special attention got it. The team was very friendly and professional in all their interactions!
