    I am very appreciative of the work performed by Devon. He did the work himself and the results were as I expected as it required that the old posts and footings be "dug" out before the new posts could be replaced. It was a small job relative to others that he does so I was flexible on dates to perform the work. In everything that Devon did he made me feel like my work was important to him even though the job was small. I recommend his services.

    The only fence company out of the 5 that I contacted that returned every call and email the same day. The young lady in the office is a superstar and is both efficient and personable. All commitments were met, work was performed professionally, and once the work started it was done very quickly. Craftsmanship is outstanding. When they accidently drilled into an underground sprinkler line it was fixed immediately and at no cost to me. Overall, I am impressed with how they run their business.

    I called America Clean and Bright, Inc. because they had lots of positive reviews for everything. I spoke with Carlos and described the same situation and asked when he could come and how much ball park estimate? He said, how's tomorrow and $400 without seeing it. I said, 'Deal'. He showed up on time, did the work of setting the post and reattaching the two panels and then extra by bracing five other posts with steel pipe set into a foot of concrete and lag bolted to the post. No more wobble for this fence. Total cost with extra work beyond original phone estimate, $600. You can't beat that. Carlos was sent by God to help me out in a time of need. Not some price gouging jerks like another company. I highly recommend giving Carlos a call.

    Stan's Services
    Stan showed up on time for the estimate and was very professional and precise in his estimate. He explained exactly what he would do and what type of materials would be used. He gave me the option of wood types, screws or nails and 2 or 3 rails. He gave me a price for all options which I appreciated. After the insurance company settled wit us it was a little less then what Stan's estimate was. So Stan made adjustments on his estimate to equal what our insurance company gave us. The tear down and haul away went smoothly and was done in just several hours. The next day the fence was built. There was a problem when the side fence was done. There was a 4 to 6 inch gap at the bottom of the fence but when I brought it to Stan's attention he offered a couple solutions with the hardest one being to unscrew all the boards and lower the fence. When that was the option we chose Stan offered an apology and stayed a few more hours and lowered every board on the side fence. The fence and gates turned out awesome. I would definitely recommend Stan's services.

    From the beginning-- I received a response on the very first day that I sent out the request and an appointment was scheduled with Linette.  Linette arrived on time for the appointment and listened to everything my husband and I wanted done in our back yard and a couple of things we wanted to get done in the future.  She listened carefully, offered her expertise to us, took notes, took pictures and measured everything.  She then worked up the contract for us, breaking down all the different jobs individually.  On some parts of the job they came in higher than the other contractor I contacted, but some parts of the job came in lower.  So, it basically came down to who I felt more comfortable with and Linette won that hands down.  After everything was signed and agreed to, we moved forward and worked with Steve's team, which included Ricardo and his crew.  We felt really comfortable with Steve too, and he is the plant expert so his information and advice were particularly important to us.  He went over the placement of each plant with us so we were totally happy with it. The whole project essentially took two days and both days everyone arrived on time, were very friendly, and cleaned up after themselves when they were done.  The very last thing to get done was the new gate for our other side yard.  And that job was done by Derek, who is another team leader for Lavish Gardens.  Again, I could not be happier with the results.  I am thrilled with my new back yard and cannot stop looking out my windows at it.  I would not hesitate to use them again, actually don't know why I would use anybody else.  They made the whole process pretty painless.

    1) Sales estimator changed appointment time on the morning of the appointment because the time we scheduled a week prior was inconvenient for him. The change made the appointment inconvenient for us. 2) Sales estimator provided an incomplete estimate that didn't fully address the bids we requested and when we identified that to him he wouldn't accept that he made a mistake but insisted he did what we asked instead of just supplying a corrected bid 3) The sales estimator provided a lump sum bid with no cost breakdown and stated 'discounts included' in price. When questioned about the cost details the sales person would not provide a cost breakdown and said there were no available discounts for our job. Why put on the bid that all discounts were included and then tell me there are no discounts for our job? 4) We requested a new bid and the salesman never responded again. When we called Borg customer service line to speak to a supervisor and try to resolve our issues we were never called back. I guess Borg fencing just doesn't care much for providing quality customer service and has sufficient business that they don't need to provide service to clients that don't just roll over for them.

    I called, spoke with what I assume was a receptionist, and requested someone contact me for a quote for wrought iron fencing. She said someone would call me back to discuss the job. Never heard back from anyone.

    We contacted Cal-Sierra Fence in early April to install additional fencing to what existed in our new home in mid-April.  They gave us the date they would provide the service as April 16.  We needed to move in with our 2 Great Danes on April 22.  When we called the week of April 16 to verify the plans, we were in informed that since we did not respond to an email that we did not receive, that we were not on the schedule any longer.  We discussed the fact that we did not receive an email or phone call. They offered to come on that Saturday if we would pay $300 (10%) extra.  Since we were in a bind/desperate, we agreed to that.  2 men came and did the work.  We were able to bring our dogs the next week as planned. 
    The gate that held the fencing in was supported by a post that was free-standing, and it failed the first day we used it.  I called Dan at Cal-Sierra, and they came out the next week to fix it, saying the cement was at fault.  
    2 weeks later, my dogs were able to move the free-standing post again, and escape from their yard, which resulted in a serious spinal cord injury to one of them.  I called Cal-Sierra the day after the escape & injury (May 15), and they agreed to come out and trouble-shoot (Dan described this a "MacGyver") the post.  He stated they would come with supplies, welding equipment, and troubleshoot this until it was functional.  The date arrived that they were supposed to come (May 18), and I got a message that they were detained and would come the next day at 8 am.  Since I had to be here to keep my one remaining Great Dane in the house, I needed to know when they were coming.  There was no one here by 10 am, so I contacted the company and was assured that someone was on their way.  No one was here at 11.  I sent another message that I needed to leave, but needed this post fixed definitively before I could.  I was assured someone would be here.  Finally, a repair person arrived, and he let himself into the backyard without letting me know he was here.  I found him in the back, digging up what remained of the cement where the post had failed.  I asked him what his plan was for definitively fixing the post.  He stated "I was just sent here to reset the post".  After a lengthy discussion, he finally anchored the post to the house adequately to support the gate.   To say this process was frustrating & unacceptable is an understatement.  It cost 10% more than originally agreed on, required 2 return visits, at least a dozen calls & texts, my loss of several hours of time, $8,000 in vet bills and a permanent disability of one of my pets.  The final straw was the serious lack of responsibility and communication on the company's end to fix the problem.

    I called Pete to fix the electrical that powers my garden fountain.  He did so and then asked what else he could do for me, since he had to charge me the minimum one hour of labor and there was lots of time left.  He helped me get my jacuzzi running and then suggested that my gate could use some repair, so he did that too.  Pete is awesome - friendly, polite, capable, affordable - and I will call upon him any time I have a repair problem.
