The Jenson company was concerned since we are seniors, we would be without heat too long so they came out extra early to take care of us. We are very pleased. They were vigilant in regards to Covid precautions. They took every step to protect us and themselves. Very clean and professional. They answered EVERY question we had, over the phone and in person before and after each contact. We will call Jenson's every time after this. We could not be happier. APerfect Heating & AirMy experience with Perfect Heating and Air was indeed perfect. My 40+ year old furnace died, so I did some research to find a suitable make/model that would fit my narrow furnace closet in the garage. I emailed my results to Perfect Heating and Air and another local Poway HVAC company. Audra at Perfect promptly responded, the other company never responded. Audra was very helpful with additional make/model suggestions. She promptly answered my questions and emailed manufacturer brochures and related information, and cost estimates with no hint of pressure to select a particular manufacturer. After reviewing all the information, I selected a Goodman furnace which had the highest heat output, longest warranty, excellent reliability rating, and lowest price ($400 less than a model I had mentioned to Audra). Audra advised that the Goodman furnace was a 2 day delivery from the distributor, so we selected an installation date a week away. Chris arrived as scheduled and had the furnace installed and checked out in under 3 hours. Chris was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The finished installation looked very neat. Of course, he took the appropriate virus prevention measures. Perfect Heating and Air is exactly the type of company I like to do business with, a small local business that depends on their reputation for repeat business. AOur a/c was making a terriible noise during the hot weather, so we shut it off. Charlie offered the earliest appointment (next day) for a service call. When he arrived and a/c was again turned on, it ran fine. He checked both mechanical and electrical functionality and found no problems. Would definitely use him again for his quick response, integrity and professionalism.

DBAKER SOLAR CAN BECOME YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE!! THEY CERTAINLY BECAME MINE IN 2020!! I did my research to a reasonable degree and concluded that Baker Solar sounded like the best choice for solar. They “sounded” that way because the salesman, Donald I., made false and inaccurate statements to us when we were in his presentation. Specifically, he assured us that our new Baker Solar system would be “monitored” 24/7 and even if some leaves covered a portion of 1 panel and it failed to produce properly, their company would immediately notify us and we or they could address the issue. THAT IS A LIE! Baker Solar DOES NOT HAVE EVEN ONE PERSON OR ANY IN-HOUSE SYSTEM THAT WATCHES ANY OF THEIR SYSTEMS. At that time we did not know that, so we signed the contract and Baker designed and installed our $52,000 system. All appeared to be doing well until this past December when we received a final adjusted bill from SDG&E for $3,800! When we called Baker to ask for their help in understanding how this could be, They tried to communicate with our solar system from their office but could not….the system was broken. IN FACT, AS WE ULTIMATELY FOUND OUT, IT HAD BEEN COMPLETELY BROKEN AND COMPLETELY INNOPERATIVE SINCE JULY 2020! 4 MONTHS AND NOT A WORD FROM BAKER SOLAR! So they sent a technician, who found that their 60amp breaker had EXPLODED, CAUGHT FIRE inside our electric panel and had destroyed several other breakers for our house. I have what is left of those breakers….which is not much! WE ARE BLESSED THAT OUR HOUSE DID NOT CATCH FIRE AND BURN BECAUSE OUR ELECTRIC PANEL IS IN THE PANTRY OF OUR HOME….RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING FLAMABLE. The original technician replaced their solar breaker but did not have a clue as to why the explosion and fire took place. I WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THEIR LACK OF AN EXPLANATION AS TO HOW THEIR SYSTEM HAD FAILED SO SPECTUCULARLY. So they sent a second technician. He cleaned the contacts a little but he did not know why the system caught fire and stopped working….maybe a bad breaker he told us. But the third technician never even came to our home…he just looked over the reports of the previous two technicians and declared it was absolutely an oxidized (corroded) bus bar…end of story….close out the complaint….nothing more going on here! Except he forgot to factor in the fact that I spent my entire working career as a master metallurgist and his explanation was totally bogus and untrue. I called him out on it and explained why he was wrong, but he never responded. So I ASKED BAKER SOLAR TO CHANGE THE LOCATION OF THEIR 60 AMP BREAKER TO THE OUTSIDE LOCATION WHERE THE REST OF THEIR SYSTEM IS LOCATED. FOR TWO WEEKS THEY TOLD ME THAT WHAT I WANTED WAS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN AND THEY WERE NOT GOING TO DO IT WITHOUT CHARGING ME! I am no electrician but I had to tell them how it was easily possible to do. Finally they came out and did what I had asked for. It took 1 man 30 minutes to make the correction. BAKER SOLAR WILL GO FAR OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE A BIG ISSUE OUT OF EVERYTHING YOU ASK OF THEM. So then it came down to how was Baker Solar going to help me deal with the large electric bill that amassed when my system was down for 4 months during the hottest summer in Escondido history. They offered me $635.00! they said that was all I deserved based on the contract I signed for my system. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY Josh L. at BAKER SOLAR TOLD ME IT WAS MY FAULT THAT THE SYSTEM WAS OFF SO LONG BECAUSE I DIDN’T PERSONALLY CHECK ON IT LIKE A GOOD HOMEOWNER SHOULD DO! WHEN I OBJECTED TO HOW THIS ALL WAS BEING HANDLED he PULLED OUT THEIR ONE-SIDED SOLAR CONTRACT AND TOLD ME THAT MY CONTRACT CLEARLY EXPLAINED THAT BAKER SOLAR DOES NOT PROMISE THAT YOU WILL SAVE MONEY ON THEIR SOLAR SYSTEM. THEY DO NOT PROMISE THAT THEY WILL DESIGN A SYSTEM THAT IS THE RIGHT SIZE FOR YOUR HOME AND THEY HAVE PAGE AFTER PAGE TELLING THE CUSTOMER ALL THE THINGS THAT BAKER WILL NOT DO FOR YOU AFTER YOU SIGN THEIR LENGTHLY CONTRACT. Who’s fault is it that I signed the contract without reading every Baker Protective word? That is on me. After reading it now, I am so disappointed in myself because it is all there. THE BAKER SOLAR CONTRACT IS SO ONE-SIDED, SO PROTECTIVE OF THEIR COMPANY AND THEIR COMPANY ALONE, AND SO RESTRICTIVE FOR THE END USER….. IF YOU REALLY READ THEIR CONTRACT AND STILL SIGN IT….YOU WILL DESERVE WHATEVER BAD SERVICE THEY GIVE YOU….AND THEY WILL! BOTTOM LINE: my SDG&E bill was $6,800 in 2019 before I invited Baker Solar into my home I signed their contract that costs me $500. Per month for 12 years plus the end of year bill with SDG&E for an estimated $2,000 per year additional cost (my system was under designed) for a total cost of about $100,000 for my electricity in 12 years if I am lucky enough to have the system work that long WITHOUT ADDITIONAL EXPLOSIONS, FIRES, MONTHS NOT WORKING, AND LISTENING TO THEIR STAFF TELL ME THAT ALL THE ANSWERS TO EVERY QUESTION I HAVE IS IN THEIR IRON CLAD CONTRACT! THE ANSWER IS “NO!” I don’t know who the good solar companies are in the San Diego area, but I can sure tell you, FROM MY EXPERIENCE, BAKER SOLAR IS NOT ONE OF THEM!

DAndres did a good job repairing my water supply line leak; however, it was way too expensive. He installed $88 pressure regulator, $12 ball valve, $15 copper pipe, $11 couplings, $20 supplies (solder, flux, propane gas, etc.) $12 sales tax. The job took 2 hours and I was billed $1073. That is more than $450 an hour. Even if you add one hour travel time (to and from work) and perhaps deduct $50 for the use of work vehicle (gas, insurance, maintenance, etc.) $50 for overhead (insurance, office space & supplies, utilities, clerk, supervisor’s cut, etc.) it’s still over $270 an hour. I’m sure my doctor does not make that much. My fault for spur of the moment decision. I should have entertained quotes from others. Moral of the story is do not let little inconvenience shadow your decision-making process. It will leave a bitter taste in your mouth. $158-parts & supplies $100-overhead expenses $815-labor
