James Edward Handyman & Custom Woodwork
James is a great guy.  He was professional, friendly, courteous and was very patient as we kept finding wood that needed replacing.  He milled the siding, replace 2x4's, removed electrical box, light switches etc.  He works very efficiently as he is paid by the hour, which worried me a little, but we are so pleased with the quality of work, the type of wood he used and his work ethic.  Absolutely and totally glad we called him!   Thanks James!

Danny and his team came in and demo'd the existing bathroom and kitchen area within the first couple of days. They were fast and very careful not to damage any of the interior living area that was not included in the scope of work. They cleaned up the work area(s) and hauled all the trash away in the same day. They also relocated the gas line for the stove, and the gas/water lines for the washer/dryer hook ups. Currently we are waiting for the city inspector to come by and approve all of the plumbing and electrical work they've done before building out our bathroom and kitchen area. At this time, we did not provide a score for Quality because the remodeling work has not been completed. We will provide a score and a final review at the end of construction, with pictures.

Pier is definitely NOT the low bidder, he's so busy he's hard to get hold of if he isn't working your job, but if he is working your job he's instantly available anytime and the job gets done fast and absolutely perfectly.

I had new cabinets made and put into both my kitchen and pantry/washroom. They replaced bad plywood and laid down new tile in both areas. Replaced old windows with vinyl double pained glass, added a stainless steel sink and range hood and installed granite countertops in both rooms. They also replaced my garage door with aluminum door with windows and the opener. Everything went well and was very satisfied with the finished product!

They showed up on time, and I knew what time they were coming ahead of time.  All of his workers were polite and friendly, and always cleaned up afterward.  If there is anything that needs fixed, he sends someone out.  He stands by his work, and he is very polite himself.

Pier and his team did an excellent job in all facets of the job. Pier was,  very good at communicating throughout the whole project, and giving us good information and advice which allowed us to make good decisions on what we purchased, and on the final design of the bathroom.   Pier and his helper did all the plumbing, the electrical, the work on the floor and walls, and the tiling work and we were kept aware of each step as it happened.  Pier is a real craftsman and he has a fine attention to detail in his work.  We are very happy with the finished bathroom and would certainly use Pier again, and would recommend him to those we know.

The job started right on scheduled (demolition and haul away) but went down hill from there. Needless to say we were without a sink and running water for approximately 25 per day. We did not get the color grout on the ceramic tile floor we requested. It was the color we wanted while it was wet but as it started to dry we were quite upset. We ordered the 3 kitchen windows with grids around the outer border and when the worker began to install and we informed him they were the wrong windows a call was made to Patrick and he told the worker hired by Homeland Builders to go ahead and install and he would reorder the correct windows and replace them when they came in. After the cabinets were installed and ceramic floor Patrick was back for more money. On May 27th Patrick collected another check for $6,396.00.00. After the countertop was done Patrick was back for another check on July 16th for $2,393.00. Shortly after that NO ONE was able to reach Patrick Mata of Ebrium Management. I assumed since Ebrium Management was working under Homeland Builders License that our kitchen was being done according to spec's, but we learned that no permits were pulled. Since Patrick Mata is now where to be found we are left to deal with Homeland Builders who are now asking for money and if that isn't bad enough we get a call from the Corian countertop contractor who said he was never paid by Ebrium Management for the completed job and he is being force to put a lien against our property for the sum of $1,662.00. We paid Homeland Builders for everything, but the windows that they promised to replace (and didn't), they refused to replace the windows that now do not match the rest of the house. Since they don't match the rest of the house we had to hire another company to replace the glass at a cost slightly higher than what we owed Homeland Builders. Now we are being threatened by Homeland builders to put a lien against our property for $3,000.00 if we do not give them $600.00 in 3 day.
