    I sent quote requests to two different repair shops but Angie's List sent it out to four, including two organizations whom I didn't request. I didn't like this, to be honest. One of the repair shops that Angie's List picked whom I did not pick was Budget Appliance, but... they were the first to respond, and the diagnostic price was the same as the one's I requested--*and* Budget had excellent reviews, so I thought why not go with them? I'm glad I did. Budget--which is really just Karl as far as I can tell--came promptly, immediately got to work, found a totally surprising source of the problem (the dishwasher wouldn't drain because a wire had burned out, not because of any clog or pump failure), and made the repair without any new parts in about 40 minutes. He tested his work, gave me some tips on keeping the dishwasher running smoothly, and was on his way. Regarding the price, I've never had an appliance repair person come to my home before so I really don't know what the appropriate range is. In my mind, I had an idea of an upper range (any higher and I would just buy a new dishwasher), and the price was right around that upper range, so I was happy to get the thing fixed competently and literally the day after it broke (which was a Saturday). Bonus points for Karl's sense of humor.

    Wow. I'm impressed. I called to get someone out because my refrigerator wouldn't cool after the door was left ajar for a night. Big emergency. Person who answered the phone said they were quite busy but would call the tech to see if they could fit me in. Alex phoned my back and walked me through the repair over the phone - for FREE. It wasn't difficult but I never would have figured it out on my own. Next time I need a repair you can bet that I'll call this company.

    They came out to repair a brand new Sub-Zero wine fridge that was making way too much noise. Box repaired it quickly and we've had not problems since. He also notice that the toe kick on the regular fridge wasn't installed properly, so he re-installed it too. Very happy with their work. They are so professional.

    Chris responded the same day that I emailed him through Angies List. He came just when he said he would. He diagnosed the problem in about 10 seconds. I could barely believe it. He had the replacement part on the truck. He finished the job in no time. He was polite, professional and punctual. What more can you ask? I would definitely use him again.

    He was prompt in returning my first contact call and coming to look at the refrigerator, for which I was grateful, since it is a pain to be without a refrigerator.  He said with my type and age refrigerator, it was most likely the compressor starter, and he had an extra in his truck.  He tested the electrical (the refrigerator was on, but not cooling), and discovered that it was the compressor after all, and these were expensive, and I should weigh the option of getting a new refrigerator or compressor replacement carefully.  After I decided to replace the compressor, he ordered it right away, and when the part arrived, set it up (as I recall, this was only two days later).  He arrived promptly and worked for quite a time installing the new compressor and starter and welding together  the metal coolant lines, charging it up, and finishing up.  The refrigerator started cooling right away and I've had no problem since. I would recommend Alex Appliances to everyone, because he was prompt, courteous, helpful, explained the problem well, and did such a great job fixing it.

    I first contacted this company 2 weeks ago to come out and repair my Samsung dryer which was in working order but not heating the clothes at all. Tom arrived, spent 5minutes, diagnosed the issue and said he needed to order a part. The returned with the part on Saturday, placed it into the machine and now the machine doesnt even turn on at all ( before it
    ran / drum turned but no heat, now doesn't even run/turn at all). problem appears worse.Said there was a bigger problem and needed another part. this one would take 7-10days to come in. he would call us.
    I waited 11days and called the company back. Secretaries are very nice. They said the part was in and that Tom would be by in 2 days ( Saturday betweem 11a-2pm). Tom never showed up. No phone call to cancel with me. I called the owner, Jim. He was very nice and apologetic. Didnt know where his employee , Tom, was. Didn't know whether Tom was working that day. Says he has 15 employees, but there is no central computerized schedule so he cannot tell me when Tom can return or where he is at that moment. Jim said he made multiple phone calls to Tom, but Tom was unable to reach Tom. Jim said he would personally get the part from Tom and stop by on Monday to finish the repairs.
    I called Monday morning asking when Tom or Jim would be stopping by. Th girls didnt know. Finally, by
    4pm, Julie informed that both Tom and Jim would stop by between 5 to 6pm. At 630pm, I called the owner Jim who was veyr suprised Tom did not show up again. Jim was unable to offer an explanation . He was very sincere sounding and apologetic. he said he would presonally get the part from Tom this evening and come over to my home at night to finish the repair. He asked me to text him my address.
    At 8pm, Jim called me stating he received a undecipherable message from Tom stating that my and quot;dryer part was in a
    parking lot under a street lamp. I will keep looking for it and try to be out as soon as I can.and quot;
    At this point, I thanked Mr Southern for trying to help, and informed him I would be seeking a different company to finish the repairs

    The serviceman was wonderful.  He was on time, and equipt with what he needed.  Although he could have fixed the machine, he pointed out rust that would have only held up for a short time loner and I decided to have the machine replaced.  I thank him for his honesty, and will use them for any future needs.

    The interface on our LG fridge has been resetting and sometime shutting down intermittently, and the temperature is sometimes reset too cold. The technician investigated this, including cleaning under the refrigerator (There was a lot of debris gathered) and removing the interface panel. When he put the panel back on he left it loose and it rattles and feels different now. He then indicated that we should wait 24 hours and see if the situation improved, and left. The same problems continued to occur, and now the panel is damaged. He called back two days later, and informed me that it would cost $250 to repair, but he wasn't sure if he could get the parts. After that I called LG and they told me that the parts were available. I then scheduled an appointment with an LG authorized technician to start over again. All this technician did was leave the interface panel loose and give me bad advice.

    Abraham, repair technician, arrived early for his appointment. He immediately identied the problem with the pulley mechanism which controls the washing machine agitator. He explained that the pulley mechanism is integrated into the motor and that the repair is fairly costly. His staff ordered the part and he repaired the machine two days later. The service was absolutely superb.
