  • I contacted Swim Chem through Angie's List and have waited almost 2 weeks for any response. Angie's List has contacted me twice asking how the pool service project is going. Well, it's not! I figured after Angie's List contacted me I would get some response from Swim Chem, but still no call, email or text from them. This is very frustrating to rely on Angie's List for quality and professional service help and this company doesn't even have the courtesy to communicate! Even if they cannot do the work they should communicate with direct inquiries from potential clients

  • It went really well. Gary was fairly sure what the problem was from our phone conversation. He arrived promptly, and was courteous and professional. Gary had the needed parts in his truck, and the repair was fairly quick. Afterwards, he gave me some tips for avoiding future pump problems. I will definitely use him again.

  • Rick did the estimate when I wasn't there because it is a rental. Rick is a busy guy but when I talked to him he wants very helpful. It seems like a mass production operation. I couldn't believe how low the price was compared to other bids I'd received. I was worried to go with them and encounter a disaster because you get what you pay for. I went to their office in Roseville to look at samples and the office manager didn't show up for a half hour after they opened. She didn't apologize. That wasn't a good sign but the price was great & products seemed good so I signed a contract to get on their schedule in a few weeks. I couldn't decide between the gemstone & quartz plaster so I told Tammy I'd let her know later what I decided. I expected a call or email in the next few weeks asking for my decision but when I didn't hear from them I got concerned whether we were still on schedule. The day before they were supposed to start I emailed Tammy to make sure it was still on. She said yes & asked if I picked out the tile yet. I told her nobody had dropped samples off yet like s*** told me they would when I signed the contract. She had some on drop them off that day so I selected the tile that night. They drained the pool & removed the tile the next day, re-tiled the following day, sprayed the pool with some texture the next day, then plastered after the weekend, so it took a total of 4 work days, I believe. My tenants said the work crews were very professional. The pool looks beautiful. My only knock on them is customer service. That's a very important part of any business - the hub or brain of the business. Another example - my tenant said the tile guy told her the steps would be tiled like they were before. When they weren't, I asked Tammy whether it was too late to have them tiled & she replied "it wasn't in the contract". No effort at customer satisfaction. Get the check & go. A company with better communication would let the customer know the changes they are making to make sure nothing is overlooked & the customer is happy. Like I said, you get what you pay for. Mass production operation not focused on customer service. I knew that, took the risk, & am happy with the job overall. It could've been worse. The job quality could've matched their customer service. I'd recommend them. I'd also recommend staying on top of them & making sure you are getting what you think you're getting.

  • I had an estimate (done by Pool Time) for work which needed to be done on the pool as part of the purchase of my home. I contacted them and they quickly returned my call. He showed up on time and we looked at all of the work that needed to be done. As we looked at the pool system, he took extra time make sure I knew how the pool pump worked. We arranged for the work to be done and it was done promptly on the day we agreed upon (only 2 days later).

  • We chose Burkett's after receiving bids from three companies. The bid from Burkett's was very close to a bid we received from another reputable pool company. The deciding factor for me was the salesperson. He listened carefully and didn't pressure me to choose options that were beyond my means. He was knowledgable about his company and products and was willing to take time to explain options to me.

    When we decided to go with Burkett's, we were given an approximate timetable for our project. It took almost two weeks to hear from the person in charge of scheduling our project, which made me a little nervous. But once we had a schedule, the project ran very smoothly. There was a project manager assigned to our remodel. He checked in frequently, and was easy to contact. The pool workers were wonderful. They showed up on time and did beautiful work. Everyone was respectful and friendly. Our project was completed by the date promised and our pool looks fabulous. We couldn't be happier with Burkett's. So glad we found them on Angie's list!

  • Andy Gagnon and his crew put in our pool. It was well designed, customized to our yard and desires. The work was done quickly and completed on time. We were impressed that each of the crews came in, worked efficiently and left the site very neat each evening. Customer service was excellent. They worked with us and provided exactly what we wanted in a great timeframe in a courteous and professional manner.

  • Gary was fantastic.  His estimate and price charged matched exactly, he promptly scheduled the work the same week after we gave the okay to go ahead and do the job.  We are thrilled with the new filter unit and our pool is in the best condition and all equipment is working perfectly.  We would not hestitate to call Gary again and have recommended him to others. He is extremely couteous and honest in assessing pool and spa equipment. What a relief to find a courteous, prompt professional right away after moving into a new area and never owning a pool previously.

  • Bottom line is that this is a company that seems to have deteriorated in customer service. Apparently, things were much better when the company was run by Mr. Rodriquez senior and has deteriorated since management has been transferred to others.

  • I had a weekly pool service (and biweekly in winter months). This company provided excellent service for several years. The billing is erratic and difficult to verify; at times double billed; does not follow billing information on the billing form; there is a total lack of return of calls requested. My pool looks uncared for, dark green, with broken pump. Not one word spoken to me about problem. I now view this company as unprofessional and irresponsible. I have now contacted another pool service to take over.
