    Richard's Sprinkler Company
January of this year, Richard's Sprinkler Company installed my Netafin drip system for my home.  They did an excellent job, were punctual, and overall very easy to work with.  This morning I called and mentioned that if they were anywhere in my area over the next few days, hopefully they could stop by.sometime this week.  Amazingly, there were able to stop by today.  Their communication was excellent., their staff is very professional, friendly and quick.  We have shared his contant with many others and all are very happy with his service.  Thank you!

They were able to schedule the appointment for the next day, and the owner personally came out with his technician. Quickly diagnosed the problems with front and back yard systems. Explained the options and had all of the replacement parts installed within hours. Answered several questions along the way, and the owner remained involved through the entire process. Would definitely use them again.

AP&L is a small company that provided creative, innovative and very professional service for the installation of a drip system for our condo patio and 2 adjacent flower beds in Dana Point, CA. George (or his wife Jodie) always responded quickly to my inquiries and provided a detailed estimate for installation of this somewhat challenging drip system. I greatly appreciated his advice on how to put together a system that would last for years, and one that would automatically change the watering schedule based on season. He also provided advice that provided creative solutions to several challenges in this installation - compared to 3 other companies that simply looked at the problems, scratched their heads in confusion, or wanted to provide a cheap, unsightly fix. Amazingly, the cost of this high-quality and long-lasting drip system was equivalent to several others that suggested much cheaper materials. After the installation was complete - 1 minor problem was noted, and George personally resolved it within 24hrs. Overall, my experience with AP&L has been superb, and I would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking to install a drip system.

The estimate was very high. It was about $15,000 for what turned out to be a $8,500 job. The guy who came out seemed very nice, professional and knowledgeable. I actually had them trim my trees and they did an okay job but I probably would not hire them in the future.

    America's Plumbing
My son had a leak in his garage, near the water spigot located there, just inside the door.  Water was spreading fairly fast, but we couldn't locate the leak.  Not coming from the spigot, but filling up the planter just outside the garage door.  I suggested turning off the water to the house first and waiting an hr to see if the leak slowed.  It did not.  So I told him to turn it off at the street and we'd call a plumber in the morning.  I looked up local plumbers on Angie's list and found Americas plumbing.  They were highly rated and local, so I called them.  They had 2 guys out the next morning and they knew exactly what it was.  They started digging in the planter and it was a JOB!! Nothing but roots.  They must have dug for more than an hr and then they showed me the PVC coupling had cracked and was spraying water. I appreciate when they show me exactly what the problem is even tho I don't understand many of the terms, I can still see the problem.  They gave me 2 options, which I particularly liked: repair the pipe with a new coupling, or reroute the pipe .  I preferred the second option at $200.00 more, thinking it might prevent future problems.  When they were done, it didn't even look like anyone had been digging there!! The dirt was replaced, tamped down and they even replanted a couple of small plants that had to be removed to access the pipes.  The driveway and sidewalk was swept clean.  I appreciated their clean up work as much as the repair.  On a final note, I had printed off a 10% coupon that was on their Angie's List page, which saved us more!  I would highly recommend America's Plumbing and will use them again when I have the need.

    Sunland Concrete & Masonry Inc
Mike Santuci (Sunland Concrete) was the final concrete contractor we interviewed, after speaking with several others located physically closer to our home. Before making our decision, we had to sort out whether Mike's confident persona was based on knowledge and skill, or just excess testosterone. After speaking further and receiving a very competitive price, we went with our gut feeling that Mike was indeed for real, and this played out as true throughout the project. As opposed to some contractors who show up in a gleaming monster truck only to collect your money, never get their hands dirty, and use workers off the street, Mike was physically there every day, part of the crew (leadership by example), never too "special" to pick up a shovel or hammer. He was accompanied by a top-notch group of hardworking, customer-oriented men of high caliber, who are regular employees - these guys have been with Mike for many years, cross-trained in all the required skills, and functioned together like a "well-oiled machine."  Mike also smartly leverages a small multipurpose tractor to eliminate unnecessary man-hours, damage, and injuries, ultimately saving the customer money and giving Mike a significant advantage in price and completion time. The pervasive attitude throughout was get it right the first time, nothing less will do, including several suggested changes (by Mike) to the plan itself, plus one minor re-do to achieve the original design intent. As Mike relates to customer concerns and wishes, the answer was always ultimately "Yes" (right answer). As this was Phase One, we look forward to providing some photos of the completed project, hopefully in a few months. To sum up this portion of the effort, let's just say that we can't imagine having gone with anyone else. You can choose Sunland Concrete with absolute confidence.

George and Mario were here on time.
Both men were very personable and went right to work checking all the sprinkler heads in the entire front and rear yard and replaced a couple of heads.  George explained exactly what they were doing as they worked.
They also turned down the pressure of the water flow for all the system.
And, they reset the automatic timer for the system to be more efficient.
They were both very polite, conscientious, hard working, and thorough.
It is bit of a drive for them from Fountain Valley to Dana Point but, they were eager and thorough.
