    Pure Restoration Inc
The owner, Tamir (Tommy) personally came to review  reconstruction request and reviewed and revised contract proposal as necessary.  The initial contract signed September 3, 2014 called for partial reconstruction of the kitchen, laundry room and powder room.  As the project proceeded, I decided to demolish remaining cabinetry in kitchen, laundry room, and powder room and reconstruct with all new custom-made cabinets.  The cabinet change order was signed September 17.  On 10/1 I signed a changed order to install LED retrofit lights, on 10/22, a change order to install all new granite counters/backsplash, and on 10/31 I signed another change order to install all new LED lights because retrofits did not fit existing cans.  Throughout the entire process Tamir and his staff kept me apprised of worker schedules, and Tamir made frequent on-site visits to review progress.  The entire process from start to finish took about 2-1/2 months which at the time seemed to take forever; however, given I submitted four change orders, this prolonged the project.  All in all I was very pleased with the final outcome and now have a kitchen that was remodeled to fit my wishes for easier access via  installation of pull out drawers and Lazy Susans, easy close drawers and modern enhanced lighting, and a completely updated and remodeled powder room and laundry room.  I would definitely utilize this company for future remodeling projects.

The owner, Tamir (Tommy) was very responsive and came out in person to assess mold damage  on July 18, 2014.  I signed the mold remediation contract on July 21.  Prior to beginning the mold remediation work, an asbestos assessment was required due to the age of the property.  I found and paid for an independent asbestos assessment which showed asbestos positive on July 23.  On July 29 I signed an asbestos abatement addendum proposal and abatement was completed on August 4, followed by mold remediation on August 6.   Mold post-remediation testing only was required and completed by an independent company and paid by me. Mold/asbestos remediation was signed off by me on August 21. Although the entire process took about a month to complete the work was done efficiently and effectively as evidenced by the post-remediation report..  The office staff was very professional and kept me apprised of worker arrival dates/times and the owner was personally involved to assure everything was completed safely and correctly.  I would definitely recommend this company for mold/asbestos remediation.

    Premium Remodeling Inc
After months of contemplating and saving, the time came to remodel my bathroom as the smell of mold arose from the pipelines. Since I started the mold removal and remediation I decided to create my ideal bathroom. I had to have my master bathroom done a specific way, because I've always had a vision of my perfect bathroom. I called Premium Remodeling Inc. to see if they could bring my vision to life and fix the mold issue I was having. They gave me a very reasonable estimate for my requests. The Premium team answered my all questions in a timely manor and really showed an interest in my needs. I wish that more companies were like this. They were very patient with my every request. It was a pleasure working with Premium Remodeling. I highly recommend them for any remodeling needs because they have what it takes to satisfy their customers needs. My master bath is beautiful thanks to them and my plumbing is perfect. They installed lotus cream marble and beautiful tile along with a shower seat.I love my new bathroom!

    PW Stephens Environmental, Inc.
I hired PW Stephens to remove asbestos containing accoustic ceiling material, heating ducts, vent pipes, flooring and mastic. When the HVAC contractor arrived to install the new heating and air conditioning system 20 feet of ducting remained in the attic. PW Stephens reluctantly returned to remove the remaining ducting. PW Stephens stated that the remaining ducting was not a part of the job. After the flooring and mastic was removed a large amount of (asbestos containing) mastic remained on the flooring. When the flooring contractor arrived to view the concrete slab he stated that so much mastic was remaining on the floor that it would likely interact adversely with the floor adhesive. PW Stephens said that when they remove flooring and mastic they "razerscrape" the floor - which means that much of the mastic remains. PW did return with solvent and removed more of the mastic. Even after the solvent removal much mastic remained on the floor. There were also ambiguous statements made by PW Stephens regarding air sampling testing performed prior to, during and after abatement. I did not have confidence with the accuracy of statements made by PW Stephens as far as what, if any, air sampling was actually performed. The PW representative that sold the job was extremely difficult to communicate with, defensive, argumentative and was out of the picture much of the time during the job. Consulting with him was typically a one way conversation - he only wanted to express his position and did not want to listen to what I or my general contractor had to say. He typically would not answer your question directly but instead recite a statement about a somewhat different but related subject.
Bottom line - Hiring PW Stephens to perform the asbestos removal was an extremely frustrating, expensive and dissappointing experience - read your contract with PW Stephens very carefully.

    Same Day Mold Testing Inc
Small leak from laundry hose that pooled water on concrete slab in garage and seeped into adjoining room, soaking a part of the carpet pad and minor water staining on small area of baseboards.
Same day scheduling was done quickly however the I technician was 15 mins late before calling to let me know he'd be 2additional hours late. Given that this was a rental property that they knew in advance, it was annoying that I had to rearrange my day along with my tenants.
At the appt the technician was polite, professional, and courteous. However the Angie's list coupon was only good for discount off the inspection and not the tests. I felt my lack of knowledge and fears of tenant lawsuit were fueled by the inspector and that multiple (10) samples was recommended to be taken. I ended up being conservative and doing just the minimum (3 samples)
Turns out they did things right (outside air, room air, wall core samples = 3 submissions) and there was no detectable mold levels of concern. But I didn't appreciate the technician's suggestion to hire $500 and up remediation and water abatement. Again playing into my uneducated fears. Luckily a more knowledgable friend suggested we open the drywall in a small portion ourselves and let things dry out while waiting for the report. Since it was a Friday night inspection the lab testing didn't get back until 4 calendar days later and by then the wall and carpet was dry like a desert!
I did like that this company did not do or recommend anyone for remediation or mold removal, it keeps them honest.
Next time, educate yourself about what factors are required to create the bad mold and in substantial levels. If you acted quickly or the environment was not hospitable to growth, don't panic. 10 lab submissions would be overkill.

    Same Day Mold Testing Inc
I thought I saw mold on my ceiling. I call various mold testing and mold remediation companies. Same Day Mold Testing was the most professional on the phone. They answered a lot of questions which was helpful because I had no idea what to do. Tyisha made a follow-up call which impressed me as good business practices. I eventually hired them because of the professionalism and price. I felt that others were hiking up the price and also trying to scare me. Marelle came to the house as scheduled and explained everything to me?the various kinds of testing and the various scenarios that might occur, I had him do a surface swab test only and he did not pressure me to do the others. I am awaiting the results of the testing, but feel much relieved that it may not be as bad as I had imnagined. Marelle's knowledge is extensive so I feel I benefited from that.

Gary came out to give us an estimate.  He was very courteous and very knowledgeable about what he does.  He will answer all your questions (even if you have some dumb ones) and explain things to you in everyday terms and not his business jargon.  He said he would be at my house at 8am and that it would be all done within 2 days.  He actually showed up a little early and got stated on things right away.  While he was pulling out the old furnace his asbestos removal guy came to pull out the old ducting.  By 5pm it was all done!  Old furnace out, new one in (with drain pump running to my drain pipe in the garage).  New A/C unit on the opposite side of the house from the furnace/blower and all the new R6 ducting installed.  He also scheduled the HERS Rater (requirement in my city) to come out at the end of the job to have it all completed in 1 day.  He called the city to have the code enforcement guy come out the next day.  The HERS Rater and the city inspector both said that this was a really great job and nothing needed to be changed or corrected.  Gary called me up later in the day to ask me how it went with the inspector and since nothing was wrong, the job was done and I cut him a check.
I do like the fact that he didn't require any money upfront on this job and didn't ask for any until the job was complete to satisfaction.
I didn't like that he was going to charge me extra for the time it was going to take him to go to my city hall to pull the permit for the job.  I declined that and did it myself.  It only took me 30 minutes and probably would have taken him less time since he knew more info that needed to be filled out on the forms then I did.  Other then that I am very happy with the work and would highly recommend him!
Only gave a B rating for price because the cost for removing the old duct work was more expensive then other quotes I received, but I will say that they guy that removed it, did earn every penny for his hard work, care and professionalism crawling around in my hot attic for hours.  As far as the price for the rest of the work, it was right on par with the other quotes I received.
